Great open area for my toddler to run and play in. Also park kept very clean. All around great atmosphere

Very nice park. Equipment for the children and beautiful walking trails. Very clean and well kept.

Enjoy taking our dog walking there! Could use restroom facilities on the west end of the park so walkers would have a place to go if needed while on the path.

My children love this place. Its a very cute playground. It is Nicely shaded. Had everything that children would enjoy. Im so happy that it doesnt have Monkey Bars, those things are very dangerous. Every parent that Ive met there is very friendly. Their children are respectful just as mine are. This is a really nice playground.

Beautiful environment, disk golfing and LARPers, I even saw random people waving at each other. This community is amazing! Bless them.

Nice place to take kids but they dont have nothing except swings for little ones from 1-3. Its more for little bigger kids.

This park is not only beautiful to walk thru whether you want to see the river or stay within the nature area. Very clean and lit decently at night (yet still allowing you to experience true nighttime while there. Offering, boat launch ramp, picnic tables throughout as well as grills and shelters, 2 ball diamonds, with top notch bleacher seating, a golf course, a river overlook to park and enjoy the view or get out and sit on covered benches. The park stretches from boat ramp to the downtown Henderson via the newly paved riverwalk path. Whether with the family or out with your sweetie, this park offers anything and everything you can want, including a pool with water slide. Open 24/7/365 makes it even more of an attraction

True park for the public. Open 24/7/365 and youre not bothered by the police if you are sleeping in the car or tent ect

A clean, well maintained, pretty park. The Denton Shelter is a nice, no frills place to hold a gathering that offers a big, air-conditioned room with a good-sized kitchen and a big deck on two sides.

My favorite place to play disc golf.

Love this park especially in the summer. You can bar b q and hang out with friends and family. Play volleyball while the kids play in the playground area. Pretty clean decent park.

Aside from the park director not really caring about the disc golf course, akitson Park has hands down the best disc golf course in all of Henderson. Its almost always always soggy thanks to the awful drainage and no runoff places for the water to go. Alot of the seats have bolts sticking up just waiting to be sat on. But the actual disc golf course is very nice once you get out of the city park bog.

This place is Safe.People are friendly and minding their own business.They have trails to walk, Bicycle, play on equipment for kids,Two Baseball field, Skatebording ramp course,Several Shelters to Cook /Sit and View Ohio River Barges going up and down.People on River, boat ramps to unload boat into water..A Relaxing atmosphere...Love it..
