A very nice museum for its size. It is small but they make very good use of the space that they have. The docent was eager to talk about Hemet’s history and had a genuine interest in it. He was very knowledgeable and he also grew up in this area. There isn’t an admission fee but donations are appreciated. There are exhibits about paleontology, the old train line and railroad, the Native Americans, the orchards and produce grown in the past, and old Hemet life. It was a fun experience. Expect to spend about a hour or so here.
Even though there were many visitors in the Hemet Museum, spacing was not an issue due to the size of the Hemet Museum. All visitors did have masks on and social distancing was evident, But the problem thier is no trash bins in the surroundings.
Great place to spend with your family.
Best Waffle sandwich I ever had!!!
Impressive antique collections.
If any place needs a museum its Hemet. And this one doesnt disappoint. Learn how the town became so corrupt. Why so many homeless wander the streets. And what the cops did with that $10 million tax boost. Its all here at the Hemet Museum!
I love history so you love history too and want to see some of hemet early settlement this place has it

Interesting. Got a laugh at the sine on the front doorNo smoking, outside food or drinks and no spiked heels
The docent Jim Moyer was extremely informative I learned so much today about our town history thanks to him. The museum was very clean and kept up. Will definitely go back!
Very pleasant. The docent new a lot about Hemet
Always a friendly atmosphere...nice place to go back in time...how it use to be.
Spent a good hour or so in there listening to Mr. Jim Moyer. Loved every minute of it and learned a lot about our towns history.
The Hemet Museum is a very nice little place located inside of an old Santa Fe Depot. The place is very cramped and small, but it is a nice place of Hemet and San Jacinto history.
It is a small museum but the docent we spoke with was full of information and insights about the towns past and future.
Very interesting spot to visit.
I believe is a great place to take the youngins that you have to learn about the history
Friendly staff and quaint.
Fantastic cards & postcards.
We just stopped through here on a whim. We looked up in Google to find things to do near us and we found this place. Little small museum with a lot of history tucked inside. If youre a fan of the old and Dusty is great place to come explore. We met a guy named Kevin who was the museum attendant and he was awesome. Very energetic very knowledgeable and you can tell he was passionate about history in this area. It is a donation recommended place and its nice to leave a few bucks if you can to support the history conservation. Go check it out. @RoarksVentures passed through while camping in Idyllwild. Great little spot to spend a half our to an hour getting getting lost in history.
