Love this winery. This place has been continuously operating since 1876. Josh was our winery tour guide and did an amazing job explaining the history and the family associated with this place. To top it off, the wines are top notch. A must see!

My wife arranged a family gathering and dinner at Simi Winery for my retirement. Colette was amazing at organizing every aspect of the surprise intimate evening. Lisa oversaw the wine, service & food and it was perfect! The setting close to Healdsburg was beautiful and I cant say enough about how great the staff was! Thank you!

During our trip to Napa & Sonoma we stopped at a lot of boutique wineries that sold only through wine clubs. I did, however, want to visit a couple of wineries that mass market their wines but assumed the visits would be inferior to the boutique wineries. I was wrong. We had the best time during our Simi in the Cellar tour. It was a small group tour with 6 other people and a nice young man that was great and very accommodating to our mature group. At the end of the group tour, we had the best tasting with different stemware for each wine. It was really a great experience and I heartily recommend doing this tour.

Beautiful wine and wonderful hosts await you at healdsburgs flagship winery! Take the historic tour at 11am or 2pm and learn about how a young lady leads a winery through prohibition and built the foundation for what you see today, a lovely tasting room and a top quality wine making facility. Maybe youll join the wine club, like me!

They literally have the best desert wine on the face of this earth, bar none, end of story. Their cheese and wine pairing platter is also hella lit and they are one of the few winery’s that have dank food during barrel tasting

Simi was a good tour, interesting as they allow access throughout the property. Wines were very good, I prefer smaller wineries and intimate settings.

I’m a local, and I’ve been to Simi several times. Despite their mediocre service and unfriendly attitude, I liked their wines enough to join their wine club. Some friends from out of town were visiting so I took them to Simi for some tastings. To reiterate many other reviews on here, nobody behind the counter was friendly and the service was very slow even though they weren’t busy. We went back to buy a bottle the next day 15 minutes before closing time and rather than being greeted, this woman Lynn (maybe one of the managers) yelled at us to get out. After stating we just wanted to buy a single bottle she throws her hands up and tells the employee next to her she “can’t handle this, you ring them up” and storms off into the back room. Now I could understand if they were empty, trying to close up and we were walking in at the last second expecting service but this place was still full of customers, with others coming in behind us. I was appalled with her behavior and have never experienced such a public outburst before. I figured maybe she was having a bad day or something and not take it personally. After all, the guy who rang me up (Michael) was friendly and apologized for her behavior.I decided to give them one more shot and took my father there for wine tasting. We were promptly greeted by Steve, who started out friendly and chatty. We were having a good time right up until the last pour, when out of the blue Steve asked my dad if he had been drinking earlier that day because he “noticed that he was acting like he drank too much.” (I know my dad and he wasn’t even remotely buzzed off of the tiny little pours this guy had been doling out. We weren’t being loud or stumbling or anything that looked out of the ordinary). I thought he was joking and waited for the rest of it, but no Steve was actually accusing my dad of drinking too much, and continued to scold both of us. I was completely mortified and my dad was embarrassed. We simply said: “we’re fine thanks” and Steve walked into the back to get the bottles we ordered. Rather than waiting around to purchase them we just left.Simi winery is managed by two of the most unprofessional and snobby people I’ve ever met. They’ve personally insulted my father and yelled at my friends and me. I’ve been to several dozen wineries throughout Napa, Sonoma, and Alexander valleys and nobody else has been rude. I hope the owners wise up and replace these two because they don’t belong in management or customer service. They should be ashamed. I will never return to Simi and advise everyone to avoid them. I already cancelled my membership and won’t be buying their products.

We stopped here because we are members of their sister winery, Woodbridge Winery in Lodi. The wines were great, but Karen, our server, was better. We had skiped over one wine as we moved to taste the bolder flavored Cabs. Karen provided many stories and bits of information as we went through our tasting. As we thought we were finished our flight, she asked us to try a wine in an inconspicuously unlabeled bottle. We enjoyed it and she tokd us that it was her favorite and that it was the Petite Sirah. it was great and we bought two bottles. Thanks Karen!

Housemade Pancetta, Broccoli Rabe, & Green Garlic Pizza was paired with the 2010 SIMI Pinot Noir. The wine went really well with this pizza. The slight fruit flavors of red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, plum, and black cherry balanced out the salty pork belly, making the pizza not so shocking to the palate. This wine also has well-balanced flavors all by itself with good structure and perfect acidity. Thumbs up!
