High Scores is a first class o.g. arcade! They have a lot of old school games in the original cabinet as well as several new cabinets that have dozens of games loaded up.
I love this place. Old school video games. Its clean the games work great. I get to show my grandkids what it was like when video games first came out. The Atari was our first system. Brings you back to being a kid lol.
This is one of the coolest places Ive been to all year. If you even mildly enjoyed going to an arcade in your life, this place is like Disneyland. They have all the best stuff!
Excellent Employee, Who Is Very Helpful @ High Scores Arcade!! I Love How Theres A Super Smash Bros. Arcade There!
Awesome place to get your nostalgia on. They have a great selection of throwback games with a great rate. Definitely could spend an entire day there trying to beat the arcade games of my childhood. A v dank place with a v dank price.
Great old school arcade aesthetics, 80s music, black lights, and plenty of game choices, especially the multi game cabinets. Some sticks dont work so well, some light guns are inaccurate, but it adds to the overall feeling.Friendly staff, easy pricing.
Really good place for traditional games, so much fun and good price. You can find a collection of all good games! Dont forget to donate.
An awesome interactive arcade Museum. Well worth the money
I love this place! I spent A LOT of time in arcades as a kid and very happy I can share that experience with my sons. Weve been there the for an hour at times or before and after a movie. Not having to feed the machines quarters is a real plus! Going there with two young boys would really add -going there by myself would REALLY at up!
Great retro games & reasonable rates: $6/hr or $12/day.
Great selection of games for a great price, only gripe I have is since the property itself is pretty small then there may not be to many additions to the game selection, Id love to see a House of the Dead, Metal Slug or Jurassic Park addition! Still good spot though, would definetley recommend
Its a old fashion arcade. Very cool place to play games. Not bathrooms no air conditioning.
Love the retro vibe and getting to play video games from my childhood.
FUN! - Aiden (12) Its a lot of fun and they have games from back in the day! - Azlynn (9) Rock on 80s!! - Selena (35) Cool place! - Jedi (35) Awesome place! Great for a fun afternoon with (or without, lol) the kids!! Awesome prices too!! - Leslie (36)
We loved the old school arcade games with a side of childhood nostalgia. The place get a little warm but worth the trip.
Is fun. But it needs more arcades
Reminiscing nostalgic moment, took my kids there and I think the 16 bits graphic gave them headache. I love to pull 15 hits combo off street fighter off my kids. The best part is see how the modern children interacting with old tech. Wonderful time.
How could you beat $12 for a day full of fun! My kids, my hubby and me love it here.
Have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed playing the retro games. Some negatives that prevented this place from getting a high score (get it? j/k): a number of the machines were not functioning properly, the games are set up extremely close to each other so it is extremely crowded, it gets very warm when a big crowd is inside.
Small hole in the wall place to play games good old School games. 15$ a hour not bad
Its cool it has a custom melee arcade cabinet
Nice to have these old school games. Price was reasonable but the room is small and all games are stacked right next to each other. Lots of elbows. Some games did not work (Dragons Lair). Lots of similar fighting games a la Street Fighter. I would gladly pay more for more games and more room. I would like to play Zaxxon, Dig Dug, Pong, Asteroids Deluxe and Missile Command.
Pretty fun the first few times but besides that not gonna be doing this all the time
Great price for an hour of gaming! They keep their equipment clean and in good shape!
One of my favorite places to just hang out and relive your childhood! All of the most popular 80s 90s are here :) $6 an hr or $12 all day for unlimited play! Frequent visitors can purchase a stamp card for $30 for 6 visit ($5 a visit per hr discount) are you still reading this? Head onto downtown Hayward and check out this hidden gem arcade for yourself!
I was transported to some of the happiest moments of my childhood, and a lot of sweet memories filled me as I looked to different titles around the room. You can get a twelve dollar all day pass thats worth the value. All of the games are basically free to play. The eras range from the seventies to the mid-two thousands. You cant go wrong for a good time here.
We had My grandsons 8th birthday party here it was a hit! The owner is nice and the atmosphere was cool they played old school music it was just a great place and everybody had fun thank you!
Its a fun place to waste time you dont pay that much for it and out of nowhere a hour pass by and you didnt even realize. its a fun place
I feel like a kid in a candy store every time Ive gone here and feel like I discover several new games that Ive never heard of before with each visit !! I love that they have a high scores board for you to try and get your name on the board and on their website. The staff is super friendly and will help you with anything you have a question about. Theres like 6 different pac mans and theres even virtual pinball !
Good fun if you like old school arcade games. Prices are good, but could use a few more iconic games. Worth checking it out, but I cant really see myself spending more than a couple of hours here.
Everything was functional, didnt have to wait too long to jump from different games. Had a good time overall!
Small arcade. Needs an A/C; it was hot in there. A nice variety of old skool games. I was looking for Dig Dug didnt find it spent most of my time on centipede. The buttons were a little off delayed response at times.
Good retro fun in all its 8-bit glory! Even custom arcade consoles.
Had a great time. Its 6 dollars for an hour and 12 to play all day. Tons of old games
This place is awesome a little small but super fun plenty of old school 80s arcades an its only $12 for all day fun of games $6 for an hour cant beat it. Brought back so many memories as a child of going to the arcade and putting your quarter on the glass to say you got next. Hell they even had the 1st computer game I played Oregon Trail
Definitely some fun old games there - not super expensive either.
Great games, amazing service, wonderful music.
Love this spot. Cheap and super fun. Do it, dont miss out.
Well be back. This is by far one of the cleanest and well organized arcades Ive seen in longer than Im willing to admit. And they have Galaga. And not some watered-down version, either, but the full fast shooting version that takes me waaay back....anyway.....The staff is kind and personable. The other games work well and there are many consoles that feature a host of different games. The timed entry fee is fair and being relieved of the need for tokens or a card to play is a nice touch. Well be back.
Took a group of kids here and everyone had a great time. Tons of classic games and they are all in good shape. Its also nicely located near food/drinks/dessert and plenty of parking. For 10 bucks you just cant beat it.
This arcade features a jukebox playing 80s classics that does not include music of the Beatles. Regardless of this egregious oversight, better than the beatles
This place is the bomb!
Brings back memories, love it .And my kids also..
Good times here. Great collection of 80s games.
Fantastic homage to arcades of yesteryear. Retro games, 80s music blasting, great times. Love the location in Alameda, and this one is fantastic too being so close to home and smack dab in middle of downtown Hayward!
Always fun, I regularly go there now for the great price and game variety but youll always see me on Tekken 7 in the back
Enjoy all the old school games with just a few bucks!!
Great arcade with tons of classic games. All freeplay, with a cover charge for one hour or all day. Recommended!
This place if a fun place to check out. Makes a good date spot also. But fun place to ckeck out for sure
A smallish arcade of older games very inexpensive whether you do an hour or the whole day. It was a blast.
Vintage coin-op games set on free-play, in exchange for a nominal entrance fee. Took my family of 4 in here to share a trip down memory lane after a movie a couple doors down. Tron, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Joust (for Ready Player One fans), and so many others. Love this place!
I love this place. It brings back fond memories of playing arcade games in the 1980s when I was a kid and is good to see that kids today are enjoying playing these old arcade games.
Affordable Old School Games. My 10 yr old son and his father and I visited last Sunday. It was Our second time
Perfect to pass away a rainy day. Dont stay home, come out and play!
I just hapoehapto be in the area and found this place. ItsI a truly awesome old school arcade. And its only $6 an hour for unlimited play.
Great place for nostalgia. Kids loved it and so did my hubby
Always have fun here $5 hr for all access to arcade games from my childhood. Great for a date night or family fun night, All ages!
Love all the Vintage video games..love the music..(a bit loud for some). Also love the movies they play on the TV there
Amazing customer service the guy in the front is so awesome love it so much!!
Cool little arcade place. Has arcade games from the 80s and 90s. Fun experience for kids.
Good selection of games, and a decent price to play all day. Located near good food places to eat or bars to visit.
This place is amazing!! DEFINITELY WORTH THE 5 DOLLARS!!! A TON OF GAMES FOR FREE!!! THEY HAVE GUITAR HERO!! 4 PLAYER PAC MAN!!! MARIO!!! ZELDA!!! MORTAL KOMBAT!! AND MORE!!!!!
I love their selection of games. Quite a trip down retro memory lane. Good pricing too.
Old school arcade fun!
Ah the memories. The classics from the 80s and a few newer than that. And Oregon Trail.
Really fun and friendly staff!
So many classic arcade games! Something for everyone
Very fun place for retro games
Good time for little money. Great way to kill time while being surrounded in nostalgia.
Super fun come early to get the best deals and play for several hours, only 80s style video games, thats why its great.
A cheap way to have a great time with a spare hour. Free parking right across the street.
Its a cool place for arcade game lovers I specialy enjoyed the 4 player pacman game it was so joy and awsome and it reminded me of my childhood. All the games are the cool old time games.Even though our time was over but the good guy let us play as long as we wanted :)
Oh so much fun! The machines are swapped out every few months so there is always new old games.
It was fun
Really fun to play the origials for a flat rate. No need to feed quarters to keep playing.
Old school 1980Ds arcade. Great place.
Great place of nostalgia. My kids love it believe it or not - even in todays age of XBOX ONE and PS 4.
If you really enjoy classic arcade games, this is the place to go. Some titles include: Qbert, Rampage, Mario, Newspaper Boy, Altered Beasts, and Pac-Man. It has some modern games as well (e.g. New Street Fighter and Guitar Hero). All of the machines have unlimited play (no coins or tokens needed) but you do have to pay an entry fee ($6 for 1 hour or $12 all day). If you plan on hanging out in downtown Hayward for awhile, go for the all day pass because they give you in and out priveleges. For example, you can play games then leave to go eat and come back or leave to go see a movie next door then come back, etc.Its a very small space with lots of kids coming in and out during the day so if you dont like noisey kids, I would suggest coming here in the evening (around 8:00 pm) until it closes at 12:00 am. Overall, this place is super fun and super cheap. Definitely will revisit.
Great place for anyone that misses the days of yester year
What can i say, this place takes you back to a time when you can spend the whole day getting lost in a video game world one quarter at a time. Its the fountain of youth for those of us that grew up durring the hey day of arcades and it inteoduces the youth of today to the magic of the arcade. And the way its run you get endless fun for only 10 bucks. Best entertainment to come around in a long time!
Inexpensive and fun. Arkanoid wasnt the real game though and didnt work well so I was disappointed. Will go back!
Like, its totally awesome dude. All the old school, classic video games. 80s music is always playing. Its a blast from the past.
I love this place I recommend for anybody born in the 80s to go if you know about arcades
Great old school arcade games for a reasonable price. Loads of fun.
My friend threw a bday party for her 7 year old son and it was a good experience. I think they opened 2 hours early so it could be more private. They let her set up two tables so the kids could have snacks, drinks and pizza to snack on. The arcade selection is pretty good, they have a lot of the classics from Pac man to contra, street fighter 2, tron, to super Mario world the list goes on. All the arcades were in good working condition. I know these arcades are a bit old school but all the kids loved it, even the parents got in on the fun and were playing their childhood favorite arcade. As a matter of fact I think some of the parents enjoyed it more then the kids lol... They charge $5 for one hour of unlimited play which is very inexpensive After the kids were done with the arcade they went next door to an ice cream shop where they have the best ice cream in town, its a little bit expensive but the ice cream is really good.
For 5$/hr 10/all day, you can play the classic arcade games, reaching to players on a whole new level other than just pacman. Seriously this place is awesome and its right next to an ice cream shop. Like, aracade games and then ice cream afterwards. Who wouldnt love this place.
Miss feeling like a kid, then go here. Soooooo much fun!
I go with my kids . Is lots of fun to play old school games with my family. After we are finished we go for ice cream nex door, they give evebody a discount for visiting high scores ar ade . How great is that . Love it
Good place to game out while waiting on a movie
Had a great time playing arcade games and remember how fun is to beat street fighter.
Great prices all the classic stand up games
This is a like a museum to 80s and 90s video games. There are 2 locations, Hayward and Alameda, that try to be open according to the local school schedules. There is either an hourly charge or you can get a one time all day wristband.
Great games, clean and cool staff :) coming back for sure!
So much fun! Super worth the price!
Great place. Friendly staff. Retro feel.
