The seats were very comfortable. I liked the fact there are adult drinks. I was not happy that due to the coin shortage you have to have either a credit/debit or gift card no cash accepted to get something from the concession counter... You must get/load $ on gift card at ticket window.

Ive never walked out of a movie. Last week was my first time. The people next to me were cursing at one another and generally being loud and gross. I left the theatre before the previews were even finished. All I asked for was a refund. The manager offered me 2 free tickets as well and I said no. I wanted nothing for free, only my money back since I hadnt seen any of the movie I paid for. They had me sign a form and assured me Id be refunded my money. They never did. They stole my 11.50. Do not go to this theatre.

Do not be fooled by their so called safety measures!We were in a medium sized theater and they did not skip rows. There were people on every row and there was not three seats between us and the other people. It doesnt bother me but they had advertised that as a measure and it is not so. They have their concession lines taped and roped off, which I love. There was also a welcome back offer if you spend $25, you get free candy. They offered butter but it was cold because they control that and all the condiments behind the register. But overall it was very clean and it was so nice to get back to the movies. We cannot wait to see what they will bring out next!

My family and I had a WONDERFUL time here. The overall experience is worth the drive to see a movie. Comfortable seats and if you have to wait a cute mini arcade.

The best place to go when u want to chill and relax and watch a movie

Very few people present. Love the recliners and the comfort of watching a movie, however popcorn was stale and not fresh. Disappointing to pay $7.00 for stale popcorn. Theater was clean and well kept. Sound quality and visual effects were right on!

I visit here to see a movie at least once a week. The quality of the screens and comfort of the chairs simply can’t be beat locally. Ever since they’ve opened their dine-in movie kitchen, I’ve enjoyed going even more. Instead of having to rush to get food and to the theatre in time, I can just order at concessions and they will bring it to me in my theatre. It is a little pricey to that, but I feel that is to be expected. The different things I’ve ordered were all quality, and there’s nothing I’ve gotten that I wouldn’t have gotten again.

Good chairs and Im the only one in this whole theater right now watching the joker movie. They have so much respect for me that they made everyone else leave just so I could have that room and movie all to my self.. Great service and good people working here

They have really upped their game. Reclining seats, room to walk past people sitting in the same row, plenty of cup holders and arm rests... The concession has more options than anyone needs at a movie (I dont know anyone would ever pay that much for a bottle of beer) but its nice to have options... Prices are still reasonable. Its clean, and the service is friendly

This is one hell of a movie theater.... You would never expect to see something like this in Mississippi. Its almost like the ones in Atlanta and New Orleans. They have a great selection of food and they serve you inside the screening.

They are open and ready for business. And yes all safety precautions are being taken..

Love going to the movies at this theatre, comfortable seats, great service. The only issue I would state is the seats should be marked better, there were multiple moments where movie goers had sat in the wrong seat because of a confusion of which seat was theirs, other than that, top notch!

I took my kids to see the new Aladdin movie. It was great!! The kids loved it and so did I! Movies are so much more expensive these days than they used to be, but they are pretty much anywhere you go. Staff is always friendly and helpful and their facilities are clean and orderly. I will return and would recommend to anyone!

They strait up lied to the customers about this Frozen 2 tea party they were having. Took my little girl and a friend for the event for her birthday, and was told it was a private party. The Facebook invite clearly stated the only requirement to be involved was buying a ticket. My little one was looking forward to this for weeks. Her and her friend dressed up as the characters and the whole 9. And were told they couldnt be involved, as were the other folks who had believed the same lie. They wanted a good night and I guess they got it but I wont be going back.

Expensive, aging theater. The Grand is starting to show its age and while I appreciate their effort to pivot to more of a full experience by serving alcohol and actual food, its difficult to justify going to a movie now-a-days. I still love a night out to the movies though!

First trip, but not the last. Clean, well placed restrooms were a plus. We were pleased by the friendly staff throughout, helpful and efficient. Loved the food delivery directly to our seats. The seats were extremely comfortable and the theater is extremely well laid out.

Comfortable reclining chairs. Clean. Friendly staff. Its a dollar cheaper (as of Feb 2019) than the other theater in Hattiesburg. I accidentally bought tickets online to the movie Halloween thinking it was the 2018 one. My money was easily refunded. Im not crazy about the fee of an extra like 1.00 or 1.50 (cant remember exactly ) per ticket if you buy online. I could understand a fee for the overall purchase but when Im taking my 3 teens and they each bring a friend I have to buy 7 tickets. That adds up to a significant amount of fees. I only buy online if Im worried they will sell out. But as far as the actual theater and the staff. 5 stars. Would recommend.

Its always clean and workers are polite and friendly. Refreshments are fresh and good. Delightful.

We got the tickets online, and reserved our seats. Couldn’t have been easier! The place was clean. Even the toilets were clean!!They have a new feature where they will bring the food to your seat. Hot dogs, Mozzarella sticks, pizza, macaroni and cheese and more!!The staff was nice. The seats are amazing. I have a hard time sitting still for a whole movie but these seats recline and the feet go up. It’s amazingly comfortable. Bring a blanket and snuggle in y’all!!

Went to see the movie Overcomer and it was outstanding anything short of being a blessing to anybody who sees it if it doesnt strum your heartstrings then you need to look at whats going on with you and your heart. God bless you.

Its pretty nice. The chairs recline, and they have beer. Downsides are ac runs too cold, and no butter dispenser for the popcorn.

Dinning options is a plus and they have frozen drinks for adults!

100 times better than South Western Theater thats about 2 miles down the road. Very clean and the door greeter(ticket collector) was extremely friendly.

Theatre is great but I was trying to order tickets online, and the booking fee was almost $14. I have 6 kids. A trip to the theater is already costly. Im not paying to do the work myself. I had to go with the other theater because I have to order online because the odds of there being enough seats to accommodate my family is slim.

Theater is fine the arcade is run down and dated. Half the games dont work. Either have a arcade or dont. The theater itself is fine.

It blows my mind that this theater has so many 5 star ratings. I can understand people leaving high marks for the employees, who are generally very pleasant, as well as the food/drinks. But the most important part, the actual film presentation, is lackluster and absolutely far below standards compared to other theater chains throughout the states.Nearly every single screen is dimly lit and out of focus. It’s damn near impossible to make out what’s happening on screen during darker scenes. Also, the larger screens such as screen 11 and 9 which typically feature 3D films are the worst of the bunch. There’s a slight red-ish blur that makes me believe they leave the 3D flip lenses on for 2D showings.Sound quality is average. Most character dialogue is drowned out from the weaker front/center speakers.Hattiesburg only has 2 options for moviegoers. The Grand, and Southwest at turtle creek mall. Southwest isn’t much better, but at least you can see what in the hell is going on.Hattiesburg deserves a better theater group to represent this great city. The Grand is not it.

So my friends and I have very busy schedules as nursing and science majors at the University of Southern Mississippi, but we decided to take one night off to go see a movie at The Grand because we had courtesy passes. We long awaited the movie but when we got to the box office they told us that our courtesy pass was only good for movies that had been out for 10 days. 10 DAYS! Movies have been completely spoiled by then. So basically it’s a pass for DISCOUNT movies. No where in the fine print did it say this. But at the end of the fine print, it said that at any point they could revoke it, which I feel is completely unfair. We received these as gifts and expected them to be used like gift cards; however, we were met with a rude, unapologetic box office worker. We paid and we will enjoy this movie, but in the future, I will probably purchase my movie tickets from the theater at the mall.

This is a very nice theater. Service at the concession stand was pretty slow but everything was correct and everyone was very helpful. The reclining seats are nice and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Someone came into our theater before the movie to make sure all our seats were working correctly and that everything was okay. It was really a nice experience!

Super comfy seats and matinee prices too

I would prefer to give two and a half, but that isn’t an option. Movie was good. Presentation was good. Drinks were good. The wings on the other hand, were the size of a quarter. Imagine paying $11 for 10 pieces of popcorn chicken, and then remove that memory from your head because it hurts your soul to know that you don’t get an adequate amount of chicken per dollar. I’m deeply disappointed in the size of the chicken wing, to the point that I will not return to this establishment. Take a hint from a hurt soul, and upgrade the wings.

This is a very nice movie theater. The place is very clean including the bathrooms. The seats are spacious, reclinable and extremely comfortable. I could definitely see myself taking a nice long nap here. We usually get a large popcorn and a large drink so we can get free refills. The arcade is lots of fun too. My kids love the Jurassic World shooting game and the air hockey the most.

Great screens, clean, comfortable reclining chairs, excellent sound quality, very many food and snack options.The only downside is service once youre in to see the movie. Sometimes (depending on time of day, number of people watching, etc) you get rude people who will take your seat number, or take a call during a movie, or text a lot, or talk loudly. And its pretty difficult to get the staff to remove them. The seating issue can be resolved rather easily, but for talking or general rudeness, theres a great deal of warnings before they act on it. I dont blame the staff, thats what theyre probably trained to do; but it can still be rather annoying on the occasion it happens. 9/10Source: Ive seen dozens of movies here

Stadium seating is pretty standard in modern theaters, and leather recliners are nice, but the Grand really won me over when they started offering reserved seating. Its difficult to overstate how great it is for the moviegoer to know that youre guaranteed great seats without having to camp out.Otherwise, the Grand is roomy and usually clean. The chains rewards program is a great deal, even if youre not a frequent moviegoer. The concession stands tend to be understaffed, but they serve beer and wine, so I cant really complain.

The Grand is the by far the best theater. The staff is very friendly and the theater is over all amazing. The recliner chairs layback and you pick and reserve your seats. You have plenty of elbow room. Would recommend this theater to anyone. I drive 2 hours just to come to this theater. Love it!

I’ve been an avid film goer most of my life and on the whole, my experiences at The Grand have been positive. However, the last few years have seen a dramatic decline in the movie going experience. The employees are fine, I’ve never had an issue there, but the screens are almost unwatchable at times! Blurry pictures and dark screens are the biggest culprits. I haven’t been to a film here in recent years that didn’t have issues with dark screens. If the film your watching takes place at night, forget about it! You’ll have no clue what’s happening on screen.The worst part is that no matter how many times you complain, no one seems to have any true understanding of how to fix it!!! You’ll get excuses, and they’ll apologize, but I just want to be able to watch a damn film in high quality. I saw Infinity War and Endgame in Slidell on an IMAX screen and the difference is so astounding you’d be dumbfounded. Obviously I’m not looking for IMAX quality at a regular screen, but a half decent film going experience would be nice. This never seemed to be a problem before REAL 3D became a thing. Now it’s almost as if there’s a darkness filter put over all the projectors.

We loved this theater. This was our first visit and to know it has a full lounge area with more options then just Coke and popcorn is nice. The recliner seats just made this movie going experience paradise.
