Wow! Great theater!! I’m from Illinois down visiting my daughter, and I just want to say how great of a theater this is. I came to see The Upside— great movie and experience. Tamara was awesome. She was so sweet and helpful and she made us feel so welcomed!! I will definitely be back again before I leave to go back home next week. This theater is worth every penny spent.

Really enjoyed the movie. Prices at concession stand are still through the roof. The floor in out theatre area was very sticky and the seats smell of old perspiration odors. Needs a good cleaning. The employees were very nice and helpful. I reported the sticky floors and stinky recliners before I left.

The girl at the counter was very rude and both were not friendly.

Quiet time at 3pm. Handicap accessible. However the bathroom and theater doors are not handicap friendly. I was on crutches and had it not been for my spouse I wouldnt have been able to open the doors.

Great theater with comfortable reclining seats for watching movies. If you like the big screen experience where its slamming you in the face I recommend sitting in the 2and or 3red row, but if you prefer sitting a little further back from the screen try the 4th-5th rows. And a little trick if there is no one sitting directly in front of you reach forward and slightly recline those seats so you can enjoy the full screen.

Theatre was clean with comfortable reclining seats. The screen I was at had a slight burn on it towards the top, barely noticeable. It could have just been the bulb or projector though. I dont know much about the inner working of these things. Overall a good and safe place to watch a movie.

Friendly staff, reserved seating, and great ticket prices. Add all that with the reclining theater chairs and I dont know what else you could want from a theater (except maybe decently priced concessions).

Comfortable recliners that you can adjust to your liking. Picture and sound was great as well. To me they have the most important aspect of watching a movie down comfort.

Just saw Bumblebee with mine and my good friends families. Really enjoyed it for the most part. Everyone got snacks they enjoyed. There must have been a special going on for Christmas because the tickets were way less than expected.

THEY HAVE FAT PEOPLE CHAIRS!They have electronicly controlled recliners with foot rest that are wide enough for larger people to sit comfortably without having to squeeze their hip into obsessively narrow seats. included is a cup-holder on every armrest! the only place i go for movies now.

We have been going to this theater for a few years. Nothing but the best was to be said before this past Saturday night, 4/6/2019. The ease of picking your own seats is amazing...love this. However, this was not our issue. We got in our seats, both my seat and the person next to me had issues with our seat controls. We should have went and tried to exchange them but didnt want to be a bother at the time. I wanted to lean back and if the people in front of you prefer not to lean back then youll be looking at the tops of their head during the entire movie. Very annoying. Also, the ladies bathroom on this particular night was DISGUSTING!!! There was no paper towels in any of the receptacles to dry your hands. Floor was sticky and smelled of urine. Pubic hair on several toilet seats. The actual toilets looked as if they hadnt been cleaned in a month. This theater has potential and was awesome when it was first opened and I really hate to see it go down. We went to the late movie so maybe all the workers were tired and werent cleaning that late, who knows but I was disappointed over the nasty bathroom. Thats an area that needs to be checked regularly. We will try it again but not any time soon.

It was my first time going, I didnt know the chairs were like that.. If the person in front of you dont recline then you only see the top of the screen. Overall picture, sound, and comfort was great..

Great little theater to go to with comfortable seats. I would highly recommend this over The Grand Theater. I have not ran into an issue yet with this place. Tickets are pricey though.

We took the grandkids to see lion king at the 8:10 movie. Bought 5 seats on row E . We get there spend 50 bucks on popcorn and drinks and seated by 8:00. 8:20 and movie still hasnt started. They come in and say they are having projector problems and need us all to move to a different theater, and just sit where ever u want in there. We have 3 small children with us so were they last ones to make it in there. NO SEATS! we are stuck Im the first row far left corner of the screen after I have spent $100 bought my seats in advance so i know i would have good seats for the kids to see this movie. Im very disappointed with this place.

I have a question to ask owner. Noticed TV commercials for movie “Green Book”. Looks like a great movie but didn’t see as a coming attraction? A group of my friends are also wondering. Are y’all going to get this movie? Thanks, Kathy

Great theater, amazing seats, dollar hotdogs! I always enjoy coming to this theater because it feels nostalgic in the layout of the facility. I love the angled seating versus the leveled seating, especially because its more handicap accessible for those in need.

The seats are nice, but the bathrooms and floors are pretty grungy. Its still easier to get to than the other theater with significantly less speed bumps. Isnt usually as busy. Its good for seats and less crowding, but it can be gross.

Cool concept...some people hate the layout of the chairs in the theater, where they dont incline from bottom to top, causing peoples head to be in the way during the movies. But hey Im cool...two more words btw: Tuesday Special!

Spider man Far From Home was a good movie didnt get any drink or snack just,saw movie.

Awesome recliner seats and every seat seemed to have a great view of the screen. The sound was good and the staff was friendly and professional. It was a bit more expensive than most theaters Ive been to but it was well worth it.

They have awesome seats they recline. They also have really good spacing for you to stretch your feet.

I couldnt see Toy Story... because they had a problem with the screen, so I watched Aladdin.

Its better than the movie theater that was there before. Seats are great I just wish there was a better variety of movie times.

The seats inside the theatre are very nice. The only gripe that I have with this establishment is that the floor is flat as opposed to sloped. This can make the viewing experience difficult if the chair in front of yours is not reclined

This theater has got the best seats. Way more comfortable than the grand theater. I would probably give the theater a five star rating if it wasn’t for the fact that every time I’ve been in the bathrooms are disgusting.

This theater is dirty gross. Garbage all under the seats. Garbage in cup holders. And what is up with the prices? Too expensive for such poor and dirty services. Will definitely not be going back to this theater. First time and very last time. Bathrooms were nasty. We even went to the very first showing of the day and the theater was so trashy.

I love the super big reclining chairs. The past few times Ive gone, the bathrooms have been pretty dirty. However, each experience is a good one. If you have not been to the theater it is definitely worth it.

Great time as usual. We had a hard time seeing the movie because a family that sat in front of us would not recline their seats so it cut bottom portion of screen off. We were almost in middle isle but still had difficulty. But usually, we love our experience here!

This theatre is a little small, what with having a few viewing rooms, but I am always impressed with the quality and lack of odor that each one has. Comparatively to the other cinema, the reclining chairs are of better quality, also offering more room and more comfortable cushion.

The absolute best movie theater in town. I was helped by a young lady named Tamaria and she was so sweet to us. Someone was in our seat and she solved the issue without making a scene. Prior to that, we bought a lot of concessions and she offered to help us carry everything to the theater. That’s what you call customer service!!!!!! Seats are so comfy and the theaters were sooo clean. I hate that the customers trash the bathrooms right after employees go in to clean, though. The bathrooms being dirty are not the employees fault, but they do make an effort to keep them clean, thankfully. I would give this theater 10 stars if I could.

Expensive, yet worth the money for a great family experience.

Really spacious and clean not cramped like most theaters. Went to a Friday night movie and had no line and staff was very pleasant.

This place is clean, and the staff are friendly. The theaters are large rooms with oversized recliners, which make for a great experience. Plus, the snacks and drinks are huge. Overpriced? Of course, but that’s half the fun anyway (or maybe not). The upshot is that this is an excellent place to view a movie or two.

This is my first review because I have never felt the need to do this, but after last night I feel this needs to be said.My friend and I decided to go watch a movie here. From the moment we arrived, customer service was disgustingly terrible. They were rude and aggressive. One lady raised her voice at us when me and my friend were trying to decide what seats to choose. My friend tried to lighten the tones of the workers by making a pleasant joke, but this woman arrogantly rolled her eyes and never cracked a smile. I am honestly embarrassed and upset for this establishment because these are the people they choose to represent them. I will never return to this theatre again. From now on, I am contributing my money to The Grand Theatre.

Great theater, comfortable seats, prices are reasonable. Would give 5 stars but like other comments below the bathrooms were below parents. We seen the first showing of the day and the bathrooms were not clean. Thats terrible for a business to open up and have unclean bathrooms .

I really like this theatre. The seats are the best in town. They are roomy and deep with recliner buttons for back and feet. Tickets and seating can be pre purchased online.

I have discovered that on Tuesdays you can go to the movie at Turtle creek mall fo $6 dollars. I have to use a walker at this time and they have a ramp and chairs with room to park your walker. The chairs recline. The Theater is also right by the food court.

The employees were rude, as if they had a horrible day. They were very unprofessional. This was a Sunday night, which was very slow and we waited 15 minutes before any employee came to the counter for people to up purchase tickets or snacks. Ive never had this experience with them before but that particular crew was HORRIBLE

Clean theater, though the bathrooms can get sketchy at times, and they have the electric recliner-style seats that are always a hit. You can purchase your movie tickets online and choose your seats ahead of time, I highly recommend this. Although I should add that even at a big Star Wars movie launch it wasn’t terribly packed. Great theater overall!

The best and worst part are the chairs. They are the best because they recline and they are comfortable. They are the worst part because they are slightly in the way of the bottom of the screen.

Nice seats a/c not so great

There are two theatres in Hattiesburg, southwest and grand theatre. Southwest has the more comfortable seat option, but that is the only thing it has going for it. The food selection is limited, though they do have more soda choices. The bathrooms are in need of a total overhaul. Overall Southwest looks like a theatre that has been there for 25 years, but its really only been there for a few years. In their defense though it was a movie theatre before Southwest moved in and they did somewhat remodel it, but even with that it still looks pretty dated. They did recently start offering bottle beer though, however, the grand theatre offers a full bar with daquri machines.

The seats are better than the grand. The reason for 4 Stars is the bathroom is bad. Some hinges on stalls are wobbly and could be easily fixed. Also the bathrooms are not clean all the time.Other than the bathroom problems, the theater is great.Btw, a worker of Southwest called customers idiots for not flushing the toilets in a comment below. That’s true, but the workers need to clean the bathrooms when they get dirty. That’s what you are paid to do.

I really love this theatre, its close to everything and the apartment areas. The parking lot is always so crowded but theres a vast space. The movies are cheap and the workers are nice. Typical movie theatre food.My only complaint is with the bathrooms. They are n.a.s.t.y. Im not even exaggerating. Everytime I go there its really nasty and looks like it hasnt been cleaned in 60 years. I try to avoid it at all costs but drinking soda, water or wine during the movie really leaves you with no choice.Oh I did forget to mention that they serve alcohol.

Bathroom is worse than a truck stop. 3D glasses are the chepest flimseyest possible. Mine fell apart 3 times.

Spent $50 to see Night Class and the whole time there was a 5-7 year old kid talking repeating the cuss words in the movie which was very annoying and the people next to us kept checking her phone and her kids continued talking and hitting our daughters arm and by the way it’s a PG 13 movie so why in the heck would you bring or even allow a young child into that movie. This was the worst experience and I can say we won’t be back. If we wanted to hear a kid talk we could have stayed home and watched it when it came out with our grands. We won’t be back!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could give it -5 stars!!! Waste of $50!!!!!!
