Great FREE museum. Somewhat somber, but very well put together. Lots of care and attention to detail was put into all the exhibits. Theres way more that just Shelby stuff here. Plenty of history of all armed conflicts that the US has been involved in. Definitely recommend you stop by here and budget at least an hour. If not two hours to soak it all in.

Great Museum . Free to the public . It’s very educational. There’s a lot to see . It will take you a few hours to go through it. The staff was great, very polite and friendly. It’s right inside Camp Shelby. You will need an ID to get on base .

For people working in a military museum, they sure dont know their history well. Especially when it comes to acknowledging recognition to the native people/tribes (whose help was really vital to this country). Sure women helping out, joining, etc. were mentioned a couple times, but codetalkers were only mentioned once. They had no problem with showing multiple displays of Hitler though, so theres that.

This is a great place to visit if you like history. It is free and they have more exhibits than some museums that have entrance fees. My only complaint this visit was that they had the WW2 wing closed off for remodeling. The museum had been closed for expansion and remodeling for a year and reopened around the first of the year, so we assumed they were finished. I have no problem with them remodeling, but the WW2 wing is about half of the museum.

Very friendly staff. There is no charge for entrance but donations are welcomed. They a few items for souvenirs, like cups, pencils, some shirts and caps. The exhibits are a timeline of U.S. war and conflicts and the involvement of Mississippi National Guard. The layout is very easy to follow. It took about an hour or a bit over and hour to go through the museum and reading over the info provided for the exhibits. The bathrooms are at the end of the exhibitions and a very clean.
