A beautiful November day for a walk at an amazing park! Well maintained walkways, gardens, lawn & beach areas. Wonderful dock rebuild. A great place to walk, sit at lakeside, picnic, or let the kids enjoy the giant play space. Wear a mask & socially distance.

Great park. First the playground area is of a large size and is shaded by trees; there are 2-5 and 5-12 year-old areas. The picnic area is huge and all shaded; many tables and bbqs are available. The beach area is very nice and will work for all ages. There is a good amount of parking (for a fee) and a concession stand which was not open due to the current pandemic restrictions.

We enjoy this park. Its on Ingham Countys largest lake and has been established for over 100 years. The only reason for a 4-star review is the COVID closure of the beach this summer and a dirt parking lot (clean cars will be dusty upon departure ). Otherwise it gets five. There are many activities from the grass spaces, to sand volleyball, swimming, fishing, a bandshell for events and summer concerts, pavilions and grilling spaces and pedal boat and kayak rentals. This is a gem of a park in the northeastern part of the county.

Amazing place for gatherings or just relaxing. Water is pretty clear, Sandy and not full of seaweed. Beautiful view.No smoking of any kind, even vapor pens. So thats a little ridiculous. Also, no water toys are not allowed, no flotation devices besides life jackets. Beach toys are ok, but not really fun for little ones.

This park used to be so fun, however, in recent years it has really been neglected. The beach area is still nice, and so is the grass area. The climber for the kids keeps them occupied for a bit, but the big wheeler track needs a ton of attention. The first time we found the track there were very few big wheelers to use, almost all were broken. I brought my son back with his own and he rode for a while, but quickly, other kids wanted turns. Although I believe in turns, it took long enough that it was time enough where we had to leave and had trouble getting the big wheeler back. The next two years we went back and its worse and worse, there is carnage of broken big wheelers and tricycles all over. I wish something could be done because this is the only track I know of in this community.

Do not take any floating device. Or balls. You can’t throw balls in the water. Only in the designated area behind the lake. Dead seagulls. Trash around water. Nats everywhere. They need to spray for mosquitoes. For what it is, it was fine, but the kids didn’t have much to do given they couldn’t have anything in the water or toss a football back and forth. First time there and won’t go back.

Nice park on the lake. Obviously the park is on the side of Lake Lansing. There used to be an amusement park located at the site. Now there are ample picnic spots, lake front beach, docks, volleyball nets, an awesome playground, pavilions, and a stage that showcases local musicians during the summer. The playground is an awesome wooden structure and even offers a little go kart track. The kids always love hitting the park. There are a few bars located right near the park if you want a drink and/or a bite to eat while hanging at the park. There is also a Quality Dairy and an ice cream shop right across the street. At the docks you can fish or even rent paddle boats. The price is reasonable as is the cost for parking during the summer. There is decent fishing on the lake and typically sees a lot of ice fishing during the colder months.

Had a friends daughters graduating party here. 3 of us met up here who were all friends in high school. Spent 3 hours talking about the old days and the exciting stuff we were still doing today. Take time to meet friends and family in places like this. 3 months later we lost Chris. Was not even 50. Good shape. Fell dead of heart attack mowing the grass on his farm. Im too busy. I dont have time. I dont like his wife. He always dresses funny. His dog is ugly. People all make excuses to NOT go to these things but its the people that matter. The little things. Take time to take the photos and the video and to eat and laugh and be with your friends and family. It was not gee I should of gone and seen Chris or I should of done this. All we talked about was the great time we had here at the park and the party just a few months earlier....we made our own last fond memory of our great friend Chris and we never ever thought it would be the last one we made.

Lake Lansing is fantastic! Our kids love the beach playground, which has a nice wooden castle with slides, tires, a wooden car, and swings. Swimming here is also great, and the lake is open to boating and fishing. There are concession stands open in the summer, and a couple of nearby restaurants.

Its a very lovely place to go if youd like to walk on a trail to clear your mind, play basketball, or run on a trail with friends. Depending on the time of year, it can be quite scenic as well! Place is pretty however we got there got in the water 5 minutes later they made every one get out for 15 minutes so the life guard could swim thats insane then we are told to go back in an as we are just about to put our feet in the water they make everyone get back out for 30 minutes. Not a great place to have a great time. Too much time is given to the employees to swim an have fun instead of the guest. It is beautiful though.

You have to pay the day rate or have a state park pass. Of course, they will sell you a pass as well.It is a nice little park. It has lots of shade as well as a large open grass area in front of the lake. There are sidewalks everywhere, including next to the waters edge. If I had a disabled friend or relative, I would take them here. There are modern bathrooms in the middle of the park with a concession window. You can rent or reserve(I dont know which) pavilions with barbecues. You can rent peddle or small aluminum boats. There is a fishing dock at the end farthest away from the dirt parking lot. There is a nice wooden playground for younger kids. The best part for families is the wading/swim area in the lake. It is very shallow with a nice sandy bottom. Perfect for toddlers or younger kids. You can set your picnic up on the grass next to the sidewalk that borders the lake. The kids can walk across three feet of sidewalk, then step down six inches into the the waters edge. Not any extras for older kids except for the big grassy area for frisbee, ladder bar, corn hole, etc.. If you are not bringing Middle or High Schoolers, this place is 5 stars.
