For fishing Ill give it a 5star rating easily....but if it werent for that god awful disgusting smell that permeates the area I would love to rate it higher. Now after the nose blindness kicks in which is about 5 or 10 minutes if you can stand it, it becomes a really nice place. Good trail to run on or hike or bike. My son and I fish so having the river so close makes this a great place for us to go.Give it a chance and Im sure you will be as happy as we are when visiting.

I really enjoy walking Ava through Riverside trails and bike path into Joyce Park.

A quiet place to walk. Walking trails are grass, which is a nice, soft walk. Large variety of wildflowers and wildlife. Really a nice nature preserve. Downside is the area surrounds a water treatment center.

Nice walk!

Close to home and it is a great hike that makes you forget you are in the city.

It doesnt look like much but this is my favorite spot to go walking! You can watch people fish or go fishing yourself and its connected to parks. Theres a beaver dam along the walking path and its the perfect spot to spend a summers evening watching the carp in the dam and bird watching. Ive seen several types of fish eating birds at this spot and I cant wait to go back!

Spacious area for walking. Lots of sun. Great variety of bird and insect species. Downgraded rating due to portions of the trail that stink like processed sewage, which should be expected given its proximity to the waste water treatment plant. Stick to the southern end and its fine. Might even see a model jet fly--very impressive!

Great price for bird watchers, bald eagles and osprey and some kind of white swan is nesting now

Love it... So nice to walk thru during the warmer months. Also its open from sunrise to sunset. Google needs the options for words instead of numerical time. Especially for parks!
