Let me share with you all a little incident that happened about 15 minutes ago between me and the owner of this establishment. I recently purchased 2 albino rainbow sharks from another pet store. As I always frequent Crystal Reef for fish and supplies(for many years), I decided to stop by on my way home. When I walked in, the owner and another gentleman were there. The gentleman asked how I was doing and if I needed help. I politely said no, and I was looking around for fish for my tank. Now, if youve been to Crystal Reef, you know its locally owned and an older establishment. So, on each tank there is a list of fish that may or may not be in the tank written with paint pen. 100% of the time, not every fish on that list is in the tank. So, because its 2020, I used my phone to Google the names of the fish to picture which ones were in the tanks. I also did this to ensure the fish I was interested in were compatible with my rainbow fish. The owner came up to me and asked me what I was doing on my phone, and I told him exactly what I stated above. He accused me of taking photos of his prices because hes had that happen recently (apparently; his words) even after I showed him my phone screen. He went on and on, didnt even bother him that I was upset at his accusations. So, I immediately left. Little does he know, family is huge and FILLED with aquarium hobbyists. You, sir, just lost alot of business. We will ALL be going elsewhere.

He was very helpful with starting my aquarium and my pond. And he has a good variety of fish fresh water and salt

This place is small and not well stocked. Not worth going out of your way like I did.

So far I’ve gotten most of my tank, supplies, and fish from this store. I definitely recommend going here first before going to the local pet store. The store has almost everything you’ll need just about.

Just set up my aquarium recently. The owner Gary was amazing. Hes very knowledgeable and has good prices and good products. Wide variety of fish to choose from. Will definitely be doing more business here. Much better than my experience at Petsmart.

This is such a nice place to just visit and look at fish and corral. The staff is very knowledgeable if youre in the process of deciding if and how youd will to set up your aquarium.

I love going there. Im always buying my fish and fish food from there. The owner is a very nice and friendly man. Always has a smile and knowledgeable about every fish in his store.

I have a newish tank bought some neon tetras yesterday. He told me to bring water in the next time and he would test it for me. Unfortunately all my fish died. I went today and brought water. The ammonia level in the tank is super high. He explained all the results and recommended adding bacteria. Told me to bring water by weekly and will let me know when its safe to add more fish. He definitely gets my business.

While the layout is really neat and selection is good, the customer service just wasnt all that great and they didnt help when advice was needed. The man who was helping me was also changing prices to make me buy saying things such as, if you buy today, ill sell for only... It would be better to just have a price set and not think that it has to be bargained for. Not to mention the prices right down the road on pass rd are better with better service and advice.
