I enjoyed my visit to Haley Farm State Park. The trails were interesting and scenic. I also enjoyed seeing Canopy Rock. I took a Trail over to Bluff Point State Park, as well. Finally, I found the rock walls at the park to be pretty interesting. Some of them are pretty intricate with cut and fitted stones. There are a lot of stone walls in the area but these were unique.
A great place to commune with nature. Using various trails got four plus miles done. Can be busy so choose your time wisely. ️
Great place to bring dogs and kids. Many loop trails. Boulders to climb on. Highly recommended.
A rabbit warren of trails, nice for a jog or stroll but not a super challenging hike
Absolutely beautiful, with lots of easy trails to wander and enjoy.
Diverse ecosystems. Active osprey nests. Easy access bike trail. My childhood state park, would reccommend all day any day.
Great park, would be better if more dog owners used leashes though
Nice state park with a vast mix of trails, both along the cove and in the woods. Main trails are easy follow, but the single-track, while more fun, is not marked at all and hard to follow a distinct route. Not quite as large or scenic as its neighbor, Bluff Point, but adding trails in there or the Groton X-Town Trail can create many more options.
Got to see 200 plus year old tombstones.
Beautiful and lots of room to explore.
A nice place to go for a quick easy walk.
Trail is ok for biking. Nice to get out to stretch the legs.
Great place, great trails, great birds, horrible people that go there. I go to so many different places and this spot time after time always has the most dog poop Ive ever seen in my life. Even on the trail, watch your step. Its disgusting. It sucks because this place is absolutely beautiful.
This place is a gem! There are wide hiking trails, tons of single track, water, and connection to another park.
Go. Take a walk. Skate in the winter. Bike the trails.
Great place to walk & run.
Historic & scenic property. Nice hiking trail system. Nice stone walls.Convenient if youre in Mystic & looking for an easy hike. Also can connect to Bluff Point trails if you want a lengthier walk.
Great place to walk dogs and bike or walk. Very scenic water views by parking lot, tons of trails. You can even bike to bluff point from here. Never gets super crowded which is great.
Nice to hike at Haley Farm State Park all season long with your family or bike around. Sun is nice and warm and forest areas cut down on cold winds.
The history in this part of the country is awesome! Stone walls everywhere you go. Loved it!
Trails for days! Hiking and mountain biking there is wonderful and conveniently located. Plan to spend a few hours exploring
This park has good bicycling
Great walking trails, lots of room for pets, all well behaved that we saw.
Nice place to walk, great for bird watching.
This was a wonderful place to walk the dogs. We cheated and let them off leash and no one complained. Just watch the ticks.
Connects to bluff point. Extensive easy and pretty flat trails. Great for mountain bikes or running.
Very peaceful and serene place to walk or mountain bike. Great place for dog walking.
Nice park. Miles of trails for easy walking, hiking, and mountain biking.
Beautiful place to walk...fields, forest, water
If youre lucky, you can see deer in their natural state.
Clean and beautiful. Kid friendly
Neat little hidden park. It was our first time discovering it after living here for four years. Great grounds, trails, rocks, trees and old structures. Excellent for hiking, picnics, and family outings.
Loved the trail so much and the rock house thing was interesting and I thought it was cool
Connecticuts first governor, John Winthrop Jr., owned part of the farm in 1648. Over the years the land passed through various hands, including the Chester family in the 18th century, whose headstones are still on the property. When Caleb Haley owned and farmed the land in the late 19th to 20th centuries, he had a very unique hobby which can be seen throughout the park - the building of stone walls. Boulders found on the property were extracted and placed by an ox drawn stone-puller. The walls separated a number of pastures. Some remains of the farms buildings are still visible near the entrance of the park.In 1963, efforts to protect the farm from being sold to developers began. The State of Connecticut agreed to match funds raised for the purchase of the farm. The Groton Open Space Association with the help of The CT Forest & Park Association led a successful fund raising effort that led to the purchase of the property. In July of 1970, Life Magazine featured an article on Haley Farm titled Battles Won. Haley Farm became an official Connecticut State Park in July of 1970. Nearby Bluff Point State Park and Coastal Reserve was protected from great development pressures and was saved in 1975. It can be reached from Haley Farm via a bridge over the railroad tracks. The two parks, combined, offer over 1000 acres of land and are permanently protected as open space for public enjoyment. The park has been preserved as open space and is used for passive recreational purposes. A 0.8 mile bike trail winds its way through the scenic old shoreline farm. The Haley Farm Bike Trail, which is wheelchair accessible, is part of a 7 1/2 mile town-owned bikeway routed from Mystic to Groton on local roadways.
One of the finest places to visit, appreciate, get lost and fall in love with, great natural beauty and trailways, worth experiencing at least a handful of times
Beautiful park. Lots of hiking trails.
Fun discovering local spots like this. Little tucked away but still a decent amount of people. Mostly mountain bike riders. Not one myself but the trails look nice.
Great place to walk, run, bike, take a break and have some lunch.
Decent trails. Theyre not really marked well but you can venture off in the woods, and if you have any sense of direction you can get back.
Loved it and so did my 4 dogs
Awesome place to go walking wake up
Haley Farm offers something for the whole family. There are beautiful water views historic stone walls and a foundation to explore The trails connect with other state and local parks. There is also bike path that that offers a hard smooth surface ideal for families with children. The locals enjoy hiking, walking their dogs and mountain biking in warmer months as well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Nice hiking/walking spot. Careful of ticks though! Ive gotten a couple on me here- pretty normal for a place with lots of overgrown grasses. Lots of trails, really pretty around sunset!
Ive only been here once, but its a great nature preserve. Its partly wooded, partly prairie, with ocean views. I found it from nearby Bluff Point State Park, as there is a trail that connects them that runs alongside the railroad tracks.
Beautiful place to hike in nature... alot of different trails.... and pet friendly. We had a wonderful time.
Beautiful place and again people dont follow the state leash law.
Such a pretty place.
