Locally owned and great Aquarium prices. This place is owner operated. The marine life are in excellent health. The water in his tanks are crystal clear. They take the time to explain care and maintenance of aquarium salt and freshwater a like.

Helpful staff, very knowledgeable and passionate about helping your tank. Store front and entrance could use a pick up. Slight fish water smell, more than some other stores, but not overbearingThe help you receive out ways the cosmetic issues

Very clean and visually appealing black-owned shop. Most of the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. The coral display is gorgeous although I have a freshwater tank. No sick or dying fish that I saw. They had a decent range of tropical and saltwater fish though I didn’t find the ones I was looking for which neither Petsmart or Petco had either. A teenage employee checked me out, I could tell he was inexperienced but that’s okay. He gave me one of the wrong plants luckily I checked in the car and came back to exchange it, I understand because he was learning but other employees should check behind newer ones. Overall a nice little place with healthy fish, only lost a star because I had to come back to correct my purchase.

This place is amazing! Ernest has been so kind and helpful. Even after he helped me pick out the best medication for my sick betta, he has taken time to answer more questions I had a week later on the phone. He knows his stuff, and the other staff were super friendly as well. Never go back to PetSmart or PetCo, this is my new fish spot!

If Ernest isn’t in the store don’t bother. Just leave. I just spent 45 minutes standing in that store. I was the only customer, at least trying to be. I was not even acknowledged. The one lady was walking around talking on her cell phone (i now know all about her law school plans) while the other girl was pacing around, walked past me a dozen times and didn’t once look at me. I have spent a couple grand in that store over the last few months. I suppose that’s not good enough. Back to Triad where every customer is appreciated.

Went here for the first time today and will now be making it my go to store. Prefer it over other stores in the area. Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend! Prices are cheaper than other local stores as well. Cant wait for my next trip!

They have a great variety of fish/corals and the much needed products i was looking for...came in to have a look and left with 3 new corals and a Red Sea RSK-300 lol thats life lol... This is the type of local fish store everyone in the hobby needs. Great selection and if you dont see it they can get it. I get all of my fish and supplies here when I can... and I usually can.

One of the 3 fish died in less than 24 hours and basically all I got an oh well in so many words . $89 and thats all! They to add fuel to the fire he says call another place and i should be charging you $50 an hour to even talk to me

Clean inside and huge selection of pumps tubing fish food if you have a tank they will have everything from artificial coral to fish food and chemicals needed for your tank.. Have warmers for your reptiles too... If you love fish and need anything they have it ... And they are informative too.. Have question donr hesitate to ask... Very knowledgeable...

Visited reef architects yesterday, drove 2 hours from Lynchburg VA to check it out. WELL worth the drive. I would do it again any day in a heartbeat! Earnest was incredibly helpful and generous. There’s two types of reef store owners. Those who want to make a quick buck, and those who genuinely care about their livestock and customers, and believe me, they care at reef architects! Check them out!!!

I took my first trip to this store and I was very impressed. Great selection of saltwater fish and coral in all price ranges. pretty good freshwater options as well. All fish and tanks look very well maintained and cared for. The most impressive part to me is the gentleman working actualy took time to approach me and talk to me about different fish and coral as I had just started a saltwater tank for the first time. I live closer to a pet store that carries saltwater fish. However the customer service and selection at reef architects makes me want to drive 30 min further to support them. Keep it up guys, your making customers with the way you do business!

Service was good but some fish are over priced compared to most places and fish stores

They sold goldfish with ich to me and my family. I didnt expect this to happen with a place with such great reviews. Wouldnt recommend.. at least for goldfish. That said, they had an amazing variety of saltwater fish and corals.

The fish at Reef Architects are much healthier than anything you can find elsewhere locally. We bought 5 discus from Reef Architects months ago, and they are thriving and even beginning to pair up. Ernest is extremely knowledgeable and helpful about anything involving aquariums, fresh or salt. After seeing all the beautiful corals in the shop, Im starting up my first saltwater aquarium, and he has spent hours talking to me and helping me get what I need.

Great place! Drove from Mebane to Greensboro to check 2 places and the fish were so much healthier at Reef Architects than the other option. Great staff and would not hesitate to drive there again. Heads and tails above anywhere from Cary to Greensboro!!!
