My family has a wonderful time! My kids are 1, 5, and 9 years old. They had a great mix of activity centers for all of my kids to enjoy! The staff was extremely friendly and the facility itself was really clean. The building was also very easy to find. It is definitely a place my family will be visiting again in the future!
The new childrens museum is SO much smaller than when it was downtown. My son has special needs and uses a walker and wasnt able to maneuver around everything. Its a nice place for smaller kiddos but I thoroughly enjoyed the old location better. The staff was amazing though!
Its a good place to take small children. It is a very small place. I dont know how they have fun but they do. They moved from downtown and it may just be me but the past location seemed bigger, but not by much. For the price its not bad though, just too small.
Great place for the kids to enjoy! Ive been a member for last 3 years and no regrets, especially in winter. I and my kid spent lot of quality time together. The employees are very friendly.
Rather expensive for the offering and with sponsored exhibits. For a family of 5 to go, we couldve bought all the toys that my kids played with and filled the bathtub and went to a free park. I dont know why they charge adults either. Some educational exhibits (which makes it fit the museum aspect) are cool and an enjoyable time otherwise.
Theres a lot for kids to do; we frequently stay 3 hours and our kids still have activities they want to do and havent had time for. The activities are really creative and durable. On a side note, I didnt see that the museum provided any toy forks or spoons in the Diner play area, which is a thoughtful (and kind) decision, especially from my perspective as a dad of kids who are easily tempted to put things in their mouths. Ha. We love this place.
Like this place, children are delighted with it. We are waiting for it to open))
Went there for first time with 1 yr old twins, 3 yr old and 9 yr old. Had a blast lots to do and explore. Love the set up and outdoor area too. 5 stars.
I love this field trip for my special education class. Very accommodating and engaging for my students.
We had a BLAST here!! We went the last 45 min they were open and my kids ran steady the whole time!! The place was very clean and sanitized. They were sanitizing throughout the end of the day..staff was very nice and helpful!
It was good, but in comparison to other Childrens Museums, this one is tiny. But overall, the kids had fun!
My toddler had an awesome time playing at the museum. There is lots to do and see and it was definitely worth the price. Inonly wish we had brought her sooner lol
I visited with my two grandchilren. So much for kids to do! ROCK IN THE NEW YEAR program had something for everyone!
Wonderful museum, friendly people and very very clean. Most importantly the staff is thoughtful very kind to everyone. We visited during a scary tornado warning and the staff stayed calm and ushered everyone to a safe place. To keep the little kids calm and entertained which was hard for little children to comprehend why they had to stay put, the staff walked around and handed out small games and toys for the children to play with to keep them occupied and distracted. Afterwards the staff offered full refunds as I think most like us went there to seek shelter, we didnt ask for one however because we wound up staying long after to enjoy the place!
A two star rating is generous. small space, often overcrowded. charged us for our 14 month old, which by policy is incorrect. we had a hard time finding anything for our toddler to even do. Appleton is worth the drive.
Too far, too expensive. They used to be downtown in their community, but they relocated by Bay Beach where the outdoor summer crowd is...?? They charge for adults which is very wrong. Unethical to demand children guardians and make they pay$8!! I drank the Koolaid for donating toward their mission to enhance the GB community, only for them to tuck tail, raise prices and abandon the community. Regrettably, I could not recommend. The Brown County library offers very decent free winter activities. Sad for GB, not much out there for kids during winter that is free.
My two year olds loved it. Its a great place to escape the cold and let them get some energy out.
The new location is great. Parking is much better and it is more open than the downtown location. The exhibits are great as well as the staff. I am disappointed that the new location is smaller and the sandbox, the cash register/grocery store part is not there. Still, its a great museum and we will be back.
The new location is a down grade to the one down town. The down town location was better organized and had more space to play. Each area was separated where now its more open and less interactive... disappointed.
We love the museum, although do not like that both children and adults have to pay for admission.
Fun place for my kids to run and play on a cold day
We made a last minute decision to swing in to the childrens museum during our road trip. It was a week day morning and already pretty busy with kids and their parents. I think it was a great place for kids between the ages of 3 and 8. While they did have a very small area for our little 8 month old, still more geared towards older kids.I loved their town set up with plenty of activities all around!
Was a nice facility, just am used to Appleton which is 2x the size.
Fun place for the kids. I took my grandson here & he had a ball!
Great for kids, more so the young ones. Plenty of spots for the adults to sit while they run amuck.
We had a birthday party there and everyone had a good time.
Best place for kids and for adults. The family had an amazing time.
This is a fun place for the kids and its pretty fun for adults too with a lot to learn it covers the digestive system where the kids can crawl through tunnels and read about what the different organs do. There is also a firefighter exhibit where you can put out simulated fires and play around on a firetruck and slide down a pole. In another section they have a grocery store with a cash register. They have a construction area with building blocks and Lincoln logs and a car you can bolt parts too a tree house and a light house you can climb up into. They also have an area where you can learn about water flow and catch magnetic fish with fishing poles. And a room full of art supplies where you can paint, draw and build thing out of cardboard.
Place was filthy, there are plenty of signs that say a clean museum is a fun one however I don’t think even the surfaces are cleaned after play, ever. Staff was very disengaged - very disappointing
Pretty darn good place. Staff was nice and keeping the place clean and organized
Although the museum has a reasonable range of activities, it is somewhat small and will likely not appeal to kids before 3.This place does not participate in inter-museum membership we had (from Chicago area), which meant we had to pay full admission despite having bought an expensive annual membership elsewhere.
WOW!!!...... Its terrible!!! Its a tiny space (yes even smaller than their location downtown). Its one room/space with everything on top of each other with not many distinction/decorations to set each role play display apart. Still has displays that dont work properly (fire station) and also took away some displays. I will also add not one single new display. Outside has literally nothing. As a member here, my family was extremely dissatisfied with this new facility and will not be returning.
What a great place for small children to enhance their imagination. They can be anything they want to be there. From fireman to veterinarian to grocer, to artist,to shopper to mother, police officer to boat captain and so much more. The excitement never stops. Its a continuous learning experience and fun all at the same time. It was fun for one and all.
My 3 year old loved it here! He didnt stop playing for two hours straight. It is clean and safe for little kids. Lots of fun activities!
Good place for children when the weather is not nice.
Amazing place for kids to grow and learn in a safe environment. We maintain an annual pass to take grandchildren. As they grow, our time spent there grows and changes ges too. Awesome staff! Great activities!
Always an adventure - my artist was in heaven with all the fun media to create (and great art to hang in his room!) and all the different ways to be creative! We even had a chance to meet Green Bays finest... I think I was more impressed than he was...
Great place to let the kids explore and play. I enjoyed the stem activities because they challenged my older children to problem solve.
Fun time, lots of fun things to do and see. Very similar to the building for kids but only one floor. Art projects almost daily and plenty of other special activities. We will be returning!
Small, and a bit pricey but very nice. Everything is in good condition and well maintained.
3 1/2 year old loved it.
Great space for kids to get energy out
Very cute but very small. Exhibits are on top of each other so dont come when its busy.
Very helpful with children to use their skills. However it was expensive
Disappointed that everything is the SAME. I was expecting different things for the kids to do or adding more activities but everything is the same. Appleton has more to offer than the Green Bay location.
The environment was pleasant, and informative for the kids. The only reason I have give 4 stars is due to at the time was under remodeling. I also felt that it couldve had just a little more to offer. Like a larger water attraction. A little more intellictual hands on for children of all ages.
So many fun activities and things to explore! My 3, 5, and 7 year olds can play and craft here for hours and never want to leave. Water table, Legos, lots of things to manipulate and pretend with, craft room, baby playspace, slides, outdoor area with grass and sand...just lots of fun things to do!
It was nice but doesnt even compare to the one in Appleton!
Loved it! I was surprised at how clean and tidy it was. I was worried that my daughter (who just turned one) might not be able to really take advatage of all the activities there, but she had a really good time and so did I. Definitely going back!
Expect that water boat for fishing one everything is great
Love this store! Wish I would have known about it when my girls were little. The employees are very helpful, courteous, & professional. The selection is great & prices are AMAZING!
Good place for the childrens.
My son had so much fun and appreciate they keep it so clean
Great place to take the little ones, lots of activities and fun!
My family had a wonderful time here. Especially loved the digestive system!
Make sure to call before you visit! The past few times Ive brought my kids on a weekday weve left after 20 minutes because the entire place was overrun with older kids on a field trip. There was nothing for my smaller children to play with and they kept getting run over by the bigger kids. The museum is much too small for a big group of kids on a field trip and paying community members to feel safe and have a good experience.Disappointed.
Why do they charge adults to supervise their kids? Can you just drop off the kids, is that the intention? Or is there things adults do? Never been there.
My sister-in-law gave us a family membership for Christmas for out 16 month old this year, and in my two trips we have had a fantastic time. Lots of places to see and explore, and a city layout that offers many teaching opportunities. One of my favorite activities is to collect eggs from the chicken, deliver them to the grocery store, and then purchase them for the restaurant. What a story to teach my child as she gets to the proper age to understand. Some of the areas, such as the tree house, engineering area, and GI tract are a bit advanced for my baby, but I look forward to her growing up and discovering these when she is ready.I have yet to dive in to the craft area or discover if any guided programs are available, and the area that I assume will change seasonally (currently Packers themed) is a bit on the smaller side. I also have no idea what any of this would have cost my family if it werent a gift.I am also somewhat bothered by the parents that dont get involved and turn the attraction into an open playground. I havent had any issues with an unsupervised child misbehaving yet, but it is a little irritating when all of the chairs in a particular area are occupied by adults with no child in sight.I hope to make good use of this beautiful gift and service to the community, and cant wait to witness my babys next big discovery.
Great place to bring young kids. Lots of activities and interactive playsets. Kids could stay here for hours.
Great place for the kids to have some fun and play in the different areas. Lots of things to play with and on. Snake folks were doing demo while we were in town. They explained about different snakes and kids were welcome to hold and pet them.
We went to this museum on Halloween and it was great! This is a wonderful place for children to explore and play, much nicer than the Appleton Childrens museum. I love the water and digestive system interactive exhibits. Absolutely worth the drive and the cost (reasonable compared to Appleton). My 3 year old son loved it!
Really love all the differently themed areas to play in. The sheer variety made it very easy to spend an engaging few hours in. Our nearly two year old had a blast exploring each area, the fire truck ended up being his favorite. The water and sand play areas were hits as well.
The new areas are very nice!! Easy to get into and kids love the activities.
Amazing place for kids!
Kids had a great time. A variety of play areas, from sand and water, to treehouse with slide, lots of pretend play in a diner or as a vet. Easily spent 2 hours here with 4 kids aged 2 - 12.
My kids always have fun here. The staff is friendly and accommodate all your needs. It is a great place for children to explore and create with little to no supervision by you (depending on your childs age of course). Rooms are available for birthday parties and private events.
I arrived with 3 children approximately 2 hours before closing. I was disappointed to learn that I had to pay $8 for myself. I feel like they could have discounted my fee since there was only 2 hours left to play. Kids had fun, but I was a little disappointed that I didn’t see any updates or new areas besides the mechanic/car shop which was pretty cool.
Cute place! Only down side is its all packed together in a small location. Wasnt as big as I was expecting. Appleton Childrens Museum is much larger!
This childrens museum (for an outsider who has done a bunch) is very small and there is minimal stuff. Also a bunch of stuff there doesnt work. I am not sure what the previous location had to offer but two different members we spoke with said there was much less to do at this new location. Not worth the money for an out of town visit, maybe worth an annual membership if you were local.
Too small and too loud...the old building was much better.
Lots of fun. Creative, interesting exhibits. Pretty big space. 2 an 4 yo both had a great time.
Its a decent place to take kids. I think for the $8 a person admission fee that there are much better places to take your kids. With my 3 kids it was a stretch to get an hour and a half worth of interesting stuff to do.
Fun place for the kid. Shes always happy to run around and do everything she can. Especially the water area.
A lot of stuff packed in to a small area for kids to play with. As long as your child can walk, theyll enjoy it.
This is not a musuem but a large play area for kids. I was very disappointed, especially since it cost us $8 an adult to just stand there. Will not recommend this place to any one.
Decent childrens museum & play area. We had about 90 minutes of interesting, educational playtime here. Ideal for children from 2 years old through 10, with a collection of different themed areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, too, which was a positive.Good use of the space available and an excellent experience for us, though it was not crowded.
Clean but a little pricey. I wish parking was easier with little ones. Hard to maneuver a stroller around the more hands on areas
There are a variety of different activities for kids of all ages! The whole facility is always clean and well staffed. A day here is always full of fun and learning. I just wish the prices were a little more reasonable.
This place is wonderful
Pretty Meh
Fun for little ones, but only once a month or so--the exhibits dont really change so kids may get bored coming too often. They do change out the art projects, though, so thats good and makes it more unique each visit.
Nice array of items and activities, but quite understaffed. There had to be more people than capacity allowed.
Somewhat expensive for what it has to offer but still a great placefor kids to go explore amd learn. The water exibit was nicely done with multiple areas to do hands on learning. The art room was very nice as well. $10 for an adult is a bit much but I would still recommend visiting on a rainy day
Great place for the kids. Fun rotating play areas. Great location as well.
Good place for kids birthday parties. Resonance price. Pizza was pretty good.
Wed love to come more often; however, $16.00 per person is pretty pricey for a 2 year old with a very short attention span & not much more reasonable for a child at 5 years of age if you ask me.Also, a cafe of some sort in the facility would definitely be a plus, so parents dont have to cart more than is already necessary when taking little ones on an outing. Just sayin.....
Great place to take kids, very clean and safe.
