Great place for kids, so clean and quiet. The staff are nice and answers all questions and all were wearing their masks. Highly recommended
Love this childrens museum! Theres so much to do here! There is a large block area with a variety of building materials. There is an art area where there is always a craft of the day! My boys love painting on the wall made with clear walls! There is also an outdoor area with a music section, a climbing contraption, a sandbox, a water table and lots of other fun activities! We are members here and I definitely feel like we have gotten our moneys worth!
My 2 year old granddaughter had her birthday party there. Children and adults if all ages attended. So many great things to do with the children. Learning, Laughing...and just Living!! Got some beautiful pics for recalling fun memories later!
Plan on letting your kids get messy and youll have more fun! Lots of toys and play areas which will give your kids plenty of opportunities learning to share and socialize with other kiddos. Staff are helpful, pay attention to the activities board for more interactive sessions in the play areas. Also, feel free to post up in one location while your kid fixates on some toy or activity, they dont have to do EVERYTHING in one day :P
A fun place for kids, with a friendly vibe. Parking can be a bit tight when they are busy.Staff are friendly and will engage with the kids. The facilities seem clean and maintained, which I am sure is a nightmare. Also, pro tip, you cant take drinks (coffee in my case) in with you. Youve got to shoot that espresso before you walk in .I drop a star because the last couple of times I went the other kids/families were uncharacteristicly mean/exclusive for places like this... which was an odd experience. I think maybe it was because there were hosted parties going on.
Open with restrictions due COVID19
Great place for toddlers and young children. We were here a couple years ago but I think my kids are grown out of this place now as they are 6 and 7 yrs old. The science item to buy in the shop were perfect for them though! Had fun with the kids building the kits at home
Friendly and helpful staff. My kids love coming to play there. Even my 6 month old had a blast in the under 2 area.
We love CMAC! My wife and I started bringing our daughter when she was 18 months old and shortly after bought a membership. This is the perfect place to let her get her energy out. The facility is always clean and well maintained. The staff is pleasant and there are always crafts to take part in. We have traveled to similar sized children’s museums in other states and have yet to find one as well run as CMAC.
The kids always have a good time and learn as well
We had a great time, our 18 month old enjoyed a few exhibits but I think she would have loved the outside area if it were more warm. We loved you can return through the day if you want to enjoy lunch somewhere then return, this is great when you have a child that has a tantrum and you need a quick escape!
Wonderful place for kids! The employees are sweetheart who should be commended for being so loving and patient, especially with the kids whos parents and/or grandparents ignore their kids and let them run crazy. I especially love the glass walled painting room.
My ten month old toddler had so much fun. There are outfits for dress up, giant foam blocks for building, a giant glass shower stall for painting and so much more. Her favorite part was the wobble and roll section, which is a fun activity area fenced off for babies up to two years old. They had lots of books and mega blocks and other toys to play with. Inside, there is even an old truck to climb in and play with. The $5 entry fee is well worth it, and membership would be well worth the investment if you plan on going every couple of weeks
Great place to take your kids at most 12 and under. Great experience and loads of learning the fun way. Military gets in free from Memorial day to Labor day.
Awesome place. Kids had a blast and there are great areas to learn about our surroundings.
Excellent kids place.
Great place to take you 1-8 year old. Filled with great exhibits focused on learning through play.
My kids love going here. They have all kinds of areas for the kids to play in.
Very nice with large variety for children activity and participation. Staff friendly! Thank you. Great place to have a bday party also!
Love it! Great for kids
I think it’s great for kids to play but my only concern is why are you putting the chairs up the table and picking all the toys in front of the kids before closing? I mean, you should close first and then pick up and do the cleaning? That’s the only reason I give it 1 star
Fantastic place to take the family, my daughter had a blast and cant wait to go again!
Love this place. Lots to do. Brought my one year old and 3 year old and both had a great time. Also, the staff was walking around cleaning the whole time we were there. Finally! A kids play place that doesnt have a layer of nasty everywhere!!
This place is the coolest place to take young children in the area, hands down. I take an 18mon old and 3.5yr old every week and we never get bored. Ive also taken a 4, 6, and 7 year old which had loads of fun. There are many different well themed areas matching NC curriculums and its all designed for the kids. Our personal favourites are the huge racecar ramp you can race smaller toy cars down, the huge windowed room where you can paint anywhere, the puppet and costume box, the mini art projects employees do with the kids, the outdoor fishing run, and being able to feed the farm animals with wooden veggies from the market. There are endless opportunities to learn something new everywhere you look. The employees are quick, so sweet, and constantly picking up toys and sanitizing areas to keep the place running smooth. If we didnt live two hours away, we would come even more than once a week!
A great place for young and old. I guess I wish the staff was friendlier when dealing with children
My children enjoyed being here. There is a lot activities and very cheap as well.
Great place for young kids. Although even my 8 and 9 year olds have a blast. Lots of different play rooms each with its own theme. They have a special area for babies up to 2 years old. The highlight is the glass walled room you can paint on the walls. Its mostly indoors but there is a small outdoor area. The staff is very helpful.
Lovely find in Graham. Boys ages 3 and 6 all had a fun experience. Thank you!
A great place for infants and toddlers. Lots of active fun!
Super cute place to spend an afternoon with the kids. Lots of fun activities to keep them busy. It will surprise you on how much they built into this great space.
Great experience. My 3 yr old loved everything about the place! And them being military friendly I myself highly recommend it.
What a wonderful place! Took my 4 year old here while visiting my parents and she had a blast! We were there for 2.5 hours and could have stayed longer. What impressed me the most was all the volunteers constantly cleaning everything to try to cut down on germs. We will definitely be going back next time we visit.
Oh my goodness! I wish I had taken pictures here. I took my little guy here for a birthday party and fell in love. I love that they have sections that appeal to every interest. Kids can enjoy cooking at home, grilling in the yard, being a dentist, a scientist, an astronaut, or a painter. The list could go on. We will definitely be back!8/24/19So, we came back and had even more fun exploring all of the stations and the outdoor play area (before it rained). Its the perfect place to play and learn on a rainy day!
Great place for kids.
Workers dont support a free country.
Kids had a blast as always
Great little place!!! 5yr old God daughter loved it,Staff was amazing very friendly and always cleaning will definitely return if in the area.
LOVED IT! My son LOVED IT! Its an AMAZING AND FUN place to go!!! Lots of stuff to do!!!
I have never experienced my daughter have this much fun. I dont usually go to local places but this opened me up to see what more my community offers. Its lovely! So much to do and see here, and its cool because its highly interactive, they allow you to participate in the activities and play with your children as opposed to just seeing them enjoy it. You get to experience the magic and beauty with your child and make memories and moments to last longer than a lifetime. Great contribution and endorsement from all the establishments and local business around.
Love taking my daughter here. Place is always clean, well staffed and feels safe. Only issue I have is they charge a fee for adults who basically just sit and watch their kids play. Its what keeps me from going more often.
Small facility loaded with fun activities. I appreciated that some areas were open and some closed. Affordable at $5 per person.
So so great! I have a 3 year old and a 16mo old. They both had a blast! The younger loved the baby area and the older enjoyed all the sections. There are lots of benches and seating for older adults who may want to rest while kids play. We will definitely be back.
My daughter loves coming here. Clean facility with several cool stations for the little ones :)
Such a fun place for the kids. Weve been enjoying it for the past few years. My kids loved it when they were babies, and my seven year old son still loves it.
Our son thoroughly enjoyed this place. Its rather quick to go through but at only 5 bucks a kid it was well worth it.
I been coming to this museum for almost 1 year is the closest to my home. staff USED to be very friendly but during the Last couple months its been changing a lot specifically that there are two older women that dont like the fact that kids take them toys every where its like they dont want them to play at all!!! if they running they get mad if they cry they get mad they have followed my baby and I around the museum its very uncomfortable even have done it to my wife thats the whole point of children museum to have fun I purchased the 1 year membership but will not do it again and will not recommend if you have a toddler that wants to be running around the place because you can feel them staring at your back and doing faces to them kids they will do it to anyone.
The kids enjoyed themselves and it was fun doing the crafts with them and letting them play in the kitchen. We also learned a lot about the Mills and trains. It was educational playtime. I liked it.
So we took my nephew, I had never been here. I live in Burlington but my nephew and his mom live in Florida. They loved it, my nephew had a ball. Between here, city park and chic fila, it was a great day, and we wore him out.
Its small but tons of fun, and cheap. Easy to keep up with kids especially when you have more then 1! The two and under area is great for the littles to enjoy free time as well.
It was awesome! Their staff are very kind and caring people!
Love this place! Really love that its not a big a kids museum and its never too packed or hard to keep up with multiple kids. There is always plenty to entertain the kids and the staff is always super friendly!
Most fun Ive had in a long time.
Im a member and go with my 6 year old frequently. Its a great place to relax while you watch the children play.
Came here for a birthday party. I truly thought this was a children play paradise. Children can learn motor skills that the average toys at Wal-Mart cant provide. If your child is under two years old, there is a play area for them right by the outside door where children can play on a jungle gym, play in water, and a sandbox. All and all, I think its a very nifty place. I would definitely recommend!
Was very clean. Staff was awesome. Kids loved it
Great place for kids to run wild. Especially when it is cold or raining.
Came here over the weekend. Place was small but super fun. Kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. However, I am with a friend and she has her 1 month old baby with her, in his stroller. Our older kids wanted to play outside so we stood under an umbrella to keep the baby in the shade. While were standing there chatting away the top part of the umbrella came up out of the bottom part of the pole. I quickly jumped to grab it because it was flying toward my friend. This umbrella is heavy duty and came less than 1/2 a foot from hitting her son right in the head. Thankfully a man close by seen what was going on and helped to put the umbrella back in place. The button latch was broken on the umbrella pole. Two older woman who worked here came outside to see what happened to the umbrella. She asked if it hit anyone and we replied with a No, but it did come right at the babies head, thankfully his stroller handle blocked it from hitting him. We didnt get back a SINGLE word from them. No apology, nothing! The man worked with the umbrella and the woman walked back inside once they were done. It really pissed me off. Everything at this place was great except for the experience we had and the way the woman handled the situation. Even though the baby was okay, and thank God he didnt get hit, they could have apologized to his mom. I felt like they were really rude to her.
Always a great time, especially for those aged birth-8
My son loved it and so did I. Great interactive place with plenty of stations to entertain the kiddos! They do group parties too.
My boy loved this place .Just wished it was a little bigger
I believe its a wonderful place for the childrens to play in but they should not pay little babies that cant play or adults are just going to go watch are children.
Fantastic place for kids to play, lots of stations and play spots for imagination inside and out. A play kitchen, post office, trains, gardening farmyard and market stall, playhouse, 2 and under area, giant blocks, party room and outdoor sand pit, water feature with little magnetic fishing poles. Theres a crafting area with arts and crafts, a tea party, costumes and a puppet theater, glass walls to paint....lots to do
We had a great afternoon outing with the grandkids and a nice. Friendly staff, clean and plenty for the little ones to do. It doesnt have as much as the larger Childrens museums, such as the one in Greensboro. However, it is less crowded and way less expensive (only $5 per person). If your young child cannot resist water, you might want to bring a change of clothing. They have a new outdoor attraction that has running water. It is meant for playing with floating toys, not getting wet. However in the time that we were there 3 children climbed in or tried to, causing them to be soaked. I heard parents telling them that they would have to ride home wet.
Great place to take kids especially on a hot or rainy day! Only giving it 4 stars because some of the toys and displays are starting to show their age and abuse. The volunteers are wonderful and constantly cleaning and wiping things down and helping kids with art projects. The outdoor area is nice but it would benefit from a sunshade.
Your kids will love this PLACE! We took a 3 year old girl and she just took off running investigating everything, wonderful safe space for kids well worth it.
Really great and fun place for the kids. My only critique is the fact that it closes at 5 which makes it hard for a parent to get to after work
And had an excellent time lots of wonderful pictures and we had a lot of fun and everybody there was so nice great place to take your kids
My kids loved it! We’ll definitely be returning.
Good fun for the boys! Much smaller than Greensboro, but this is not a bad thing when you have toddlers running around!
Not so much a museum than it is an activities center. My kids enjoyed portions of it.
Drove from Rockingham County, well worth it! Lots to do. Very clean. Priced to come often!
The kids had a blast.
Lady at the front desk was on her cell phone when we got there. We were interested in a membership but she was too busy making plans on where to go out that Saturday night to even look up at me. There were other people working but they wouldnt respond to question and avoided contact as well. No one at art station. No one outside to help with regulating the little one whos parents also cant put cell phones down. Seems like the place is seriously lacking on staff and management.
This place is awesome! Ive been here before but as a Caregiver. Now that I have my own daughter (just turned a year) its even a better experience! Always clean, staff is always friendly...its great! My daughter always has fun.
Good place to go for young children. My 5 year old really loves this place and asks to go here all the time. The admission price is not huge and neither is this space. We usually end up spending close to $20 because often she convinces me to get her something from the gift shop around $5-7. (I looked up the last crafty toy we got there and it was the exact same price on Amazon as here). The last time we went I took my work with me and sat in various places near the middle and near to where she was playing (dentist n doctors office area..then the pretend diner area...then the textile area) and was able to let her have her fun despite having too much work to do myself. She also climbed to the top of the lucky climber for the first time and all by herself! She loves the little pretend fishing area in the outdoor part and we also love the glass in the center where you can paint.
Weve been coming here for about a year. Our daughter has loved the Childrens Museum of Alamance County since she was 18 months old. Admission is reasonable and the space is huge compared to other places in the region. I especially like how it is divided into different area for each type of activity: building/ construction, health/ medical play, arts/ crafts, and MANY themed dress-up and pretend areas.
My 3 year old cousin had a birthday party at the Museum. They had a great time
Clean, excellent layout and space, never too crowded, kindest staff... we love this place. Daughter calls it the fun museum. We live minutes from a few other options but drive 30 for this one. The glass painting area is unique. I enjoy the health center. Worth the trip everytime.
My son loves it here!
Such a great place for kids probably up to 10 years old. Inexpensive ($5 / person) and you can leave and come back the same day on the same dime as long as you have your receipt. Comparable to the Please Touch Museum. Super clean! No flu germs lurking around there! We were there for 4 hours and we saw different people sanitizing and cleaning the entire time. I give it a 4 because although there is a picnic area inside and out, there is no cafe so pack your lunches and head on over!
Was a really awesome place. My son had a blast and there were so many options for play. My only complaint was that the snack bar was just a couple baskets of crackers or chips at the front desk. They need an actual concession stand.
Perfect place for little ones to mingle n be active and happy.
My children had a blast!
Kinda small, but great place to have a childrens bday party. Staff was very friendly
Love the childrens museum! Lots of dramatic play experiences and art! They can play in a lab, dentist office, pediatric nursery, garden/market, home, train station and more. Also features an outdoor play area. Excellent value!
Great place for kids for 2 or 3 hours. We go fairly often.
Really fun visit. The staff constantly goes round and clean stuff!
Fun experience for younger children
Ive driven from Durham twice and it was well worth it!! Great size and great imaginative activities for my 1&3 year olds.
Great place for 1 to 4 yr olds
My daughters school had a blast and she loved it.
It was good very good.Thanks.
Great place for kids to play of all ages
GREAT PLACE FOR KIDS
Loved all the play stations for kids to enteract,So realistic like dentist, resturant, farm.
Fantastic fun, with indoor and outdoor areas, separate baby/tot area, wonderful staff, great value. Love this place. There are many different rooms where everything is hands-on and child size: doctors office (the life-sized foam skeleton puzzle is a big hit), dentist office, construction site, post office, train station, farmers market, etc. Kids can serve and order pretend food in the diner while in another room, train lovers can chug around a train table outfitted with lots of tracks and engines. Theres a large fish bowl room where kids can paint masterpieces on the plexiglass walls (the staff hoses it down every hour for the next artists). Theres a giant climbing structure, an outdoor water feature and sand area, and even some raised garden beds with real vegetables that kids are encouraged to harvest.
