Very pretty and scenic park! Love the restored wetland area with native plantings and there’s lots of outdoor playground equipment for kids to play on too. I went to park my car by there since it’s a short walk around the baseball field to the Luce Line trail and from there to some beautiful, peaceful wooded trails.
My son loves it here!!! I love it here. Great spot for the family. No rules on the equipment so, adults feel free to join your children on the course!!
Small park with good circuit for small kids (4 to 8 years old) to time and compete. Timer is disabled these days may be due to Covid so we are using our own stop watch.
Its a great play ground to bring your children..
Very cool playground. The 40 yard dash timer was not working though.
Its a park, it says its designed for 13+ but there are plenty of 5 year olds there. It was pretty busy when we were there. It would be more fun if it were less busy.
A few too many people... prob bc it has great equipment.
Timers for Ninja Obstacle course were not working on our one visit. Toddler mini playground was nice but whoever planned it did not design well with sun direction and slide material in mind - has a metal slide facing the sun that gets scorching hot.
Very nice softball complex with play area for the kids.
Ninja warrior style obstacle course and traditional playground structure. Great for entertaining kiddos of multiple ages/abilities
Our family enjoys Schaper Park. Its ideal for an active outing for all of us although last year apparently was the last year I could out race my eldest at the 40m. dash.
We drive 30 minutes to get to this park! My children absolutely love it!
A very fun park for adventurous 10-year olds. Timers weren’t working, so they couldn’t race against the clock, but it was still worth the drive
This is my 2.5 y/o sons favorite park, and we generally go here several times each week. Plenty of seating available for the parents, and lots of different activities for the kids. The bedding is an astroturf which helps with mud, but clumsy kids shouldnt be surprised by turf burn.Generally kids here are 4 - 10, and I havent seen any problem kids here. Most people dont wear masks here, but its posted that the equipment is not sanitized.
Nice ninja warrior course for kids to run and climb.
My baby girl had a blast!
A really cool American Ninja Warrior style park. The obstacles are built for 13+ but small children still can have fun trying them. The park is very popular so it can to use the timer and do a full run of the course sometimes but its still fun, has a great toddler play ground attached and a 40 yard dash with a timer.
10/10 best park Ive ever been too, they have an obstacle course with a timer and restrooms and even multiple places for parents to sit and rest.
Such a fun playground for kids. Its clean, well taken care of. Lots of fun activities that arent common at other playground.
Very creative play area for children 18 mos to10 yrs-- a 40 yard-dash with electronic scoreboard, toddler climbing area as well as obstacle course for older children. Also a large open grass area for sports. very clean and well maintained
This park has something for everybody! From toddlers to hard core rock climbers. This is a great training ground, and a place to burn off extra energy while testing yourself at the same time! Huge sturdy obstacle course, and a racetrack with underground panels that start a digital timer at the end of the track. Red, yellow, green- GO!! Time will stop as you reach the end of the track. Sometimes...it will miss the signal and keep the clock running. Also, my daughter is so lightweight, she doesnt even register at the beginning of the track and start the timer. I have to put my foot on it for her. It NEVER hurts to have someone else keep their own stopwatch going. The ground is AstroTurf, but its right next to a water conservation/wild life loving nature area. Looks as if there is a paved pathway around the water. Have to come back and walk it! Also, a short walk away, there is a building with clean bathrooms!!
Cool obstacle course and nice walking/bicycling paths. Walk on the left; ride on the right. Watch out for other bicyclists and be courteous of others whether riding or walking. And, oh yeah, you can time yourself going through the obstacle course to work for your best time.
Fun for all ages! Hold down the start timer for 3 seconds to begin. So much fun! This was our third trip here and we will definitely be going again. One of a kind park!
Next Gen Park. The timed obstacle park is cool, and each of my kids, 5 and 7, can do it. Obviously with vastly different times. I can see it being fun and challenging up into the early teen years.
I like the hidden treasures here.
Its a fun kids play ground with 2 big baseball fields I typically go for the beach up the street by the hill but I think everyone will be happy and respectful towards each other like usual if everyone tries to mind personal space and stay respectful around the kids. :) good park love the kid parkour course
Nice, well kept park and walking trail.
Very clean and lots of fun for the kiddos
What an amazing park. Our kids (6 & 3) completely wore themselves out here. We will be back.Huge credit and thank you to Golden Valley and Three Rivers Park District for this unique and fun park!
Super fun park. Set up as an obstacle course with timers and everything! Also a two lane 40 yard dash for the whole family. I definitely pulled some leg muscles....worth it!
Fun obstacles and nice that there is also a regular playground with slides and such. My kids (ages 6, 4, and 3) didnt want to leave! Wish there was a covered pavilion, but there are picnic tables and a public bathroom.
My kids loved this park! It is great for kids who are super active and athletic, like mine. I would recommend this as a park for ages 3 and older, as it is focused more towards that age.
Great new playground with digital timers for 40 yard dash and choose your own obstacle course. The digital timers are glitchy and when they mess up, the kids get really disappointed. Great playground overall, but it does get crowded on the weekends, and standing in line for a quick dash may not be worth for all. Cool to check out, but not something youd go to every day.
This was such a cool park. We visited on a Wednesday and it was busy. Cant imagine the crowds on a weekend!! My kiddos thought it was a very neat place.
Kids park is amazing. Parking lot gets used for other events and street parking is limited. Plan ahead. Bathroom and water available but no food for sale.
Really cool idea. Lots of kids playing on equipment so be prepared to have to bypass an obstacle if you are trying the course. Still fun though!
Kids have so much fun here. Great for family activity
A family favorite!
A beautiful park for tiny American Ninja Warriors, speedy foot racers, and admirers of a hopeful wetlands environment. Theres a big field for playing baseball, a track for walking/ riding, and a carefully built playground where parents can cheer their children to sleep.
Great place for kids. Our 2 year old and 5 year old can both play there. Fun obstacle course too!
Best playground ever!
I have never seen so many adults playing on the playground with their kids. Not fake playing, either. Really challenging themselves and getting into it. From the just walking 18-month-old baby, to the 13-year-old teen girls, up to the 40-plus-year-old moms and dads. I even think there was a grandpa out there. This is a park for everyone. My 6 and 8 year old loved challenging themselves in different ways on the obstacle course, as well as racing against the timed 40 yard dash. I quickly realized that no one was going to wait in a line for one individual to traverse the timed course. Instead, I encouraged my kids to think of the ways they could challenge themselves on each section, which was satisfying. After a couple runs I also gave my 8-year-old some running tips (keep your elbows in, run for the timer instead of the finish line) and she was excited to see how quickly her times improved. When the park is busy, approach it less rules-minded, and more creative-minded, and you should have a great time. When youre thirsty, theres a drinking fountain on the backside of the park building, a bit of a walk, so bring water bottles.
Cool park for wannabe ninjas! Would best be visited on an overcast day or cooler temps as there is not much shade yet with it being a newer park.
Was a great place for our kids, ages 2 and 5, to play. There is an obstacle course, timed 40 yard dash track and play area with slides and climbing structures. Our daughter was a little disappointed there werent swings... but she had a fantastic time crawling through the various obstacles. We need a playground like this in Dallas!
Wow! I tell you, this is a great idea to get kids more active. There is a rather extensive obstacle course. With a built-in timer. There is a 40-yard dash with a built-in timer. There is playground with state-of-the-art Interactive stations as well as slides. The park is right next to a two way bike trail and there was a baseball field near by. There was a small parking lot. It is near a main (faster) road.
So fun! My kiddos love it
Nice little treat tucked right in the city. Well first ring subs. People act as if it belongs to them personally but ignore that ignorance and use the park. Bike paths, fitness inspired equipment. Nice wetland backdrop. Bring whatever you use to keep the pesties away. Enjoy!!
Schapent r park was really nice, I really came to go to but naked beach, I didnt think it was really a butt naked beach I went with my son, luckily I had him hold back a bit as soon as I saw some dudes twigs n berries swinging like a copter I did an about face and my son n I went to ceder lake, not that I mind my son seeing that kind of stuff, but the crazy liberal police would figure out some charge they pin on some one and then whom ever could be spending a grip in the joint who was just trying to feel free, we his freedom would crumble in the blink of an eye, more of new age hippie gathering to me I like that kind of stuff personally and his my ex used to be down with that crowd to but she now wants to pretend shes better than every one now and I just didnt need the head ache, deffinatly not mid she children friendly
It was fun for the kids. Just busy so not able to go through the course.
Super fun place to get a workout and just have fun. Great for kids and kids at heart.
Kids had a blast! Good practice of line and patience.
Cool place to bring the kids. They always love playing on the ninja warrior type playground.
Great for climbing all over, and has a small playground for littler kids, a field for ball, and things for big kids to do.
Wonderful! The kids adored this park, it is a wonderful change of pace compared to other parks.
Great place to go to let your little one blow off steam, very inventive and unique forms of play. A very American Ninja Warrior Style.
Crowded, but great location.
Fun place. Good play area for the little ones.
It was great when there were only a few of us there however, it got crowded quickly.
Great park fun and very different than other parks.
New Park with some unique equipment that I havent seen at other parks.
Id heard about it for a while. My daughter is 6 and had a blast trying to conquer each obstacle. She was pretty worn out after just 30 minutes.
My niece and nephew had such an amazing time playing on the playground here! They raced on the timed track, they ran through the obstacle course, they played music on the interactive playground - what an amazing park!
Beautiful new challenge course. Unfortunately there is not any supervision. Kids are trying to run the course and people interfere. I will be surprised if the timers make it through the week the way they are getting pounded on. Bigger kids sit on the obstacles so the small kids cannot use them. This was a wonderful idea but not thought through.
Great place to play
This park is ment for boys and little tots. Not much for girls to do, lol... Except slide and run. The 40 yard run is difficult to manage, even with following directions. Overall, it was ok. I think more things can ne added the park.
Very nice artificial turf. Plenty of shade over the playground. Good play ground equipment for toddlers and older kids. The 40 yard dash is a really cool thing to watch.
Nice place
Pretty good but super packed 24/7
Small narrow park but is kid friendly, easy to find and is next to a pond. Has a fun 40 yard dash that tracks how fast you run. Does NOT have alot of tables. Has like only 4. No visible grills so bring your own.
Looks interesting but I didnt play there.
The park itself seems to be decent but dont go near the upper neighborhood especially if you are not white otherwise you might get cops called on you for looking like trouble.
Small play area but lots to do for little ones and big people too.
Some of the better softball fields around. Full fenced in, warning tracks, and high outfield fences. Covered dugouts would be a nice improvement, but at least they’re fenced in as well.
Clean and well maintained. Our 15 month old son loves it.
American Ninja still playground designed in a circuit to be fun and develop fitness. It has a short sprint track with timer to race against. There is also playground suitable for younger kids. Very popular when we went.
A great park for active kids!
Easy for playdates. Fun and unique
Cool ninja warrior themed needs a Zipline though
The Ninja Warrior park is fantastic! It was a little crowded but we also went on a beautiful Saturday morning so its totally expected that others would be out making the most of it too. My son had a great time here doing the obstacles and the races.
This is by far my favorite park to take the kids to. Timed obstacle course and 40 yard dash. Nice turf grass and the playground is not so high so I dont have to worry about them. Shaded areas and lots of seating.
Really cool and unique park! Not exactly Ninja Warrior level but it can still be a great way to train and there are plenty of trails with the Luce Line trail running past it.
This is a great park all around. We saw 4 eagles all within 100 yards of the parking lot, played on the obstacle course for an hour, and went on a nature hike. The obstacle course is annoyingly busy during the summer but great in early spring and late fall. Easy to bike to from almost anywhere.
Yet another Hidden Gem!
What a fun park. Certainly intended for slightly older children (my five year old son had a blast), but even little ones will enjoy themselves. The obstacles were designed to allow the users to choose their difficulty level as they go which was a really great idea. Everything is clean and the ground is well padded for falls. The only downside is that this place is so nice that its also very popular. Doing an entire unobstructed run is difficult to do without navigating around others. Even so, its well worth a visit.
Nice park
Cool obstacle course and digital clock for 40 yrd dash
Nice place for kids to run off energy..
Kids loved it. The timing doesnt really work when park is busy. Kids are starting and stopping while someone tries to compete the course.
A great park for the kids, especially older kids. Park includes a ninja warrior style obstacle course, race track, and traditional playground. The kids keep begging to go back all the time. Wish I could give it 10 stars!
I love it! Obstacles are perfect for preschool to middle school ages. But all the benches are in the wide open sun. Add a water fountain and Id give it 5 stars! ;-)
Nice clean park Good for kids.
