Lions Park

Nice parking lot, large grassy areas, nice boards for outdoor ice rink, multiple ball fields with covered dugouts and benches, and bleachers for each ball field. Paths are paved and looked smooth. Nice playground equipment. Multiple trash cans and handicapped size porta potty.

Got carried away on my walk with the dogs and ended up having a miserable case of shin splints. Saw the bleachers here and sat down. Things went fine - shin splints aside - until I got up and stepped in glass. Then, to make matters worse, some jerk parked behind the bleachers and shined his brights on me until I left. The park does have nice trees that are really attractive to dogs, as mine sniffed every single one. Surrounded by McMansions, which is sort of gross. It was probably a McTenant from one of them shining his brights on me as I tried to heal my shin splints.

Great playground for younger school aged children. I have also hosted soccer practice here several years in a row. Great location however the soccer fields do get wet at times and do not drain super fast after a big rainfall which is to be expected.

Great spot for my kid to play, ride his bike, etc. Loves to go here after school. Wish there were more benches in shady spots for an adult to sit and read!

Well kept, friendly park. Children play while adults host intramural games on nearby fields.

Great park with multiple fields, a playground and an Ive rink (in the winter). Lots of parking spots and other amenities.

Awesome place to take your family to take out energy out of the dogs running and playing with the kids. Some great Courts for the kids as well and lots of room for picnics. It needs more picnic tables and shelters it does have an outside bathroom. We just got caught in the major storm this past week in there and there were no shelters except for scattering to your vehicles with everything flying. So shelters would be a good idea other than that this place is a beautiful and awesome area to take your family for an outing.

Great park! Has four softball fields, tennis courts, ice rink and warming house and a small playground. The playground is one of the kids aged 9 and under places. Theres also a large open area with trees and walking paths on the North side

GVGS Tournaments (& games) are always GREAT. Been attending Lions well over 10yrs & never disappointed. Until last yr updated playground appeared good. Quite often trash left & dont believe maintenance looks it over. Also parents keep an eye on youngsters. The Spinning eggshaped ride is dangerous for those wanderers, unsteady walkers. Ive seen multiple kids walked into it, usually as older kid jumps over them, gets inside & started spinning. Head injuries, bruises, goose eggs & even blood appear. One day a 2yo boy & his dad both lost balance and hit heads. Then not more than 10min later another little one, mb 4yo did exact same thing!

Very nice park in Golden Valley, easy to find and a great little playground. Love seeing the puppet wagon here in the summer!
