Everything is excellent and beautiful

Last year, after my father died and I needed a place to stay for a month, while getting his affairs in order, I stayed at the Glen Club. The staff was exceedingly kind and attentive during my entire stay. They consistently went out of their way to help me whenever I needed it. During the early spring it was a quiet oasis from the business of the suburbs. The restaurant was great for a late night dinner. Plus the hotel is a short drive to a number of quality restaurants. I highly recommend this boutique hotel.

I cant say enough AMAZING things about the Glen Club. Everyone there is so wonderful to work with! Michael is the best at his job and it shows! Their food is amazing too! They have the coolest ballroom that has an upstairs balcony and an amazing patio and lawn outside. They are definitely TOP-NOTCH!

What a great club. I took my grandkids to their ILJPGA matches today. Everyone was observing safe distancing and wearing masks. Before everyone played, their temperatures were taken making me feel their teammates were safe also. Thanks to the club and the parents for keeping this game safe for our kids.

Great Tom Fazio design. Fun but still challenging.

Food was good, service was very poor. Waiter didnt check on us, we would gave ordered another bottle of wine but he didnt check on us!!!

Quiet. Small scale. Restaurant in hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Brightly lit bathroom. Convenient. Practical layout. Free WiFi, refrigerator, microwave in room. Comfortable bed. Elevator. All. 5 star. Bedroom lights way too low. No assigned help for luggage. No grab bar in shower.

Good food, nice ambience. The fact that it was a perfect evening - clear and cool - didnt hurt!

The Glen Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant was wonderful. We had great meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And we loved the bar! Octavio and Lianne were terrific servers. We will be back soon!!

Food, service. outdoor view all excellent. Clean, safe, upscale from most other golf restaurants. Well go again.

We stopped in the Glen Club for breakfast with Santa and has a great time. The food was excellent and the kids loved meeting Santa. He spent a good amount of time with each table. We would certainly go back again.

Pricey but top of line..good if under $150

An absolutely outstanding facility. Great hotel and hospitality services. All members of the staff are genuinely helpful and kind. Within walking distance of shops, great restaurants, a movie theater and more. The Glen Club has it all.

Best kept secret. Picture a private golf course isolated from the world with a clubhouse with 21 guest rooms. The course design was inspired so you would never know your in flat country. Check it out and you will be delighted you did.

A golf club - also the office of the Illinois Professional Gold Association and the host of the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame - has a quiet, spacious, luxurious hotel, great restaurant, and a cozy bar. The rooms are very large and well-appointed. The for us terrific. Guests have access to a nearby comprehensive health club. Its a great deal

Nice restaurant. The food is very good. Service is excellent. Prices are pretty reasonable. My Crispy Chicken sandwich and sautéed Vegetables were delicious.

Its a golf club. Its not a hotel with staff who are accessible and attentive. The room I stayed in was noisy. Adjusting the heating system is not possible, so was cold all night. I had low expectations when I booked but figured it was good for one night. Got little sleep, so wouldnt go back.

Went to a bridal shower. Nice place and good food. Very open and bright with all the windows they have.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel. Its walk-able to shopping and restaurants, it also has a great restaurant located on the property. The food was delicious. I will definitely stay here again.

Made a last minute reservation in this golf club.I had a great experience, comfy beds, friendly people, free made to order breakfast was great!Clean.Nearby area with lost of shops and restaurants is great! The golf course is a bit costly but would play here again given the chance! A few friends and I played here a few weeks ago and had a great time. The course was as tough as I thought it would be from the first tee to the last. I definitely would recommend this golf course at least once play early spring or fall for the best prices!

Very nice to be in a hotel with only 21 rooms. Breakfast started at 7:00 AM and staff wasnt quickly available for taking breakfast orders when I was in a rush in the mornings. The hotel room thermometer allows for the AC to be set to 3 degrees colder or 3 degrees warmer than whatever the base set-point is for the building. Sometimes it was very cold, but I like to sleep in a freezer so, mostly, it wasnt cold enough. All in all, totally recommend. I dont golf, but I bet that makes it even better. Walking distance to the shopping district next door.

Everything about the Glen Club was excellent. We rented two rooms with two people per room and everything was superb. The food was outstanding as was the view we had on the patio having breakfast. We have already decided that should we come to the Oshkosh air show again, this will be our go to hotel without the need for further searching.

Loved it. We stayed in Room #6. It was huge and very clean. Beautiful view. 4 HUGE windows. Huge closet. Beautiful bathroom and shower!! Excellent free breakfast in the dining room.

Ok fine. Do I get any benefits. This is not the first time I stayed with Hampton Inn but to my surprise its beautiful, friendly environment in this location. Keep it up and Hats off for manager and the rest of staff

Went for private event. Nice large room. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice place to hold event.

The property was really nice, however parking can use more light, it was hard to park at night.Also staff in the dining area can be more attentive. Is there any way to put CC tips if you are using a voucher?

We enjoyed our stay at The Glen. It was relaxing and quiet! The location was convenient! We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful, quiet, clean, friendly staff, with relaxing lounge and excellent food! Stayed 2 nights while a family member had surgery at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Didn’t have time to golf, next time i’m there will be a golfing stay!

Amazing view! Spacious beautiful suite with bathtub and giant TV. Breakfast was excellent.

A delicious Mothers Brunch with a gorgeous view of the golf course, beautifully-arranged tables and courteous staff. The club is immaculate and tastefully decorated. The one small downside was that the staff was a bit slow to have the buffet utensils ready; we wandered around aimlessly for awhile, not able to serve ourselves.

Lovely setting on the golf course. The people were friendly and helpful. The pub restaurant is very good and a full breakfast is included. The rooms were clean and functional but could use some updating.

The front desk staff were friendly & so helpful checking in & during our stay. This hotel is a hidden gem. Beautiful place, great rooms & delish food. Fun to be able to walk a few steps to great shops & other places to eat.

It is only okay. Definitely had higher expectations than they did. People in the hallway beginning at 10:30pm and going past midnight being loud when you have to be up early for a meeting is unacceptable. Im disappointed to say the least.

Perfect when plan to play golf at glen club. But food can be better obviously. Especially breakfast.

Just moments from Glenviews cute shopping/restaurant strip The Glen, this quiet, spacious, handsome hotel on a golf course would be really nice place to stay but for a couple of strange flaws, first among which are the window coverings -- white 2 blinds that do NOT darken the rooms by a long shot. This wouldnt be a problem if the side curtains drew across the windows, but they dont! So, unless you have very early T offs, youre in for a possibly-unwelcome early awakening. And while the continental breakfast starts at 6:30 am, (fully an hour and an half after my height-of-summer bright awakening) its so basic, it wont occupy more than a few minutes. When we came down around 9:15-9:30 am, there were three slices of bread and two tired-looking slices of cake on offer besides a few urns of cereal. I wasnt surprised many patrons opted for springing ten bucks for a more substantial breakfast entree. Speaking of the restaurant: I like an in-hotel restaurant. Theres an old-fashioned graciousness to them. Id have been pleased to dine there had it only still been open when I arrived! I guess the guests just arent into continental dining anymore than into the parsimonious continental breakfast, as the room closes at 9:00 pm. Party on!

A great place to stay, very quiet and comfortable, plus ultra convenient to restaurants, entertainment, and golf (if needed). Rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet. Staff is ultra helpful and always ready to help out with suggestions, etc.

Wait staff in restaurant had better things to do then wait on their tables. Lacking not only in service but worse in attitude.

Played a round of golf here with a couple of friends. One of them had won the golf foursome as part of a charity event. The course itself is very nice with top quality carts with computers and USB chargers. The service at the bar and on the course was good. Also, they give you free range balls to warm up, which was nice. The club house and facilities are top notch and the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame displays in their main hall are really great. On the bad side, attendants at the bag drop werent at all up to the level Id expect at this type of course. They didnt load or unload the carts. We couldnt even find them for awhile. Its off season but a club like this should have top level service. Overall, the experience was very nice but not 5 star.

We are having our wedding here. It is amazing with the amount of service they provide. Michael is the best coordinator and is not trying to up-sell you. He wants your day to be everything you expect - perfect. He provides recommendations that make sense and is very prompt in replying to your questions/emails. Better book quickly because this place fills up ASAP. The bridal suite is huge, and has an awesome balcony. We cant wait to get married here!!! They are very accommodating with food tasting, supplying a wedding cake vendor (included in the price), and are working to make our 140 guests feel comfortable. Not to mention they can support a 12 piece swing band!!! June 1st, 2018 - here we come!!! #teamsartino

My son and his lovely bride had their wedding reception there. Staff were friendly and accommodating to any of there needs. I like that there is only one room for the banquet Shi your not sharing the space with anyone else. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to have appetizers served outside on the large patio. We were able to use the patio all night long as well.After the reception we stayed at one the 22 hotel rooms on the second floor. With family and friends renting all 22 rooms, we continue the party upstairs after the big party downstairs was over with late night snacks. Large room with king bed, flat screen T.V. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. Followed the next morning with a continental breakfast.

This hotel is just really beautiful and breakfast was great.I am planning to be back there soon.Its truly an amazing place!!

Pleasure staying here. Staff was VERY friendly, good location, clean rooms, decent pool. breakfast food pretty typical type, not a lot of options and very cramped area but I wouldnt say it was bad. Highly recommend this place for a safe short stay.

Beautiful golf course. EXTREMELY challenging from the tips

$100 + is a hefty price-tag, but the course is of a championship caliber. Tricky, quick greens combined with a smattering of water hazards makes this a hard course for the average golfer. Better golfers will appreciate the challenge, and the average golfer will appreciate the course layout, conditioning and country-club feel. Staff was extremely polite and professional, and our starter was great. Pace of play is enforced, something I really appreciate as an ex-ranger. The group in front of us slowed down play, and were subsequently asked to skip a hole. We also received a personal apology from the ranger, and pace of play was great after that.

Over priced golf for a course that I would only pay 80 dollars to play. Instead charged me 220 to play on a not so busy day. The whole round all we would only see the goinds crew working in the middle of the day ruining our round. Very snobby memebers who think they own the place. And the golf staff was very rude when we went to pay they would refuse because we booked it over an app. And tried making us go play a different course because they didnt think we could pay. DONT COME PLAY HERE. DONT WASTE THE MONEY!!

This review will not be about the club but the event they handled. 7/4/18 Evening Event Parking. They were parking cars for 10$ and the parking was convenient. Everything looked good. All started when everyone wanted to go home and we had to sit in the car at the parking lot for about 40 minutes!!!!! And we had a 6 month baby on the board. Staff who took money for parking WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL, and were pointing at one police guy who was at the intersection alone, and wouldnt even help him. Cars were let go very rarely, for this size of a parking lot 40 min it is unacceptable! If you taking money from people for the parking it has to be a plan how to get them out even at a heavy traffic. Would not recommend to park here, during any event, unless you have extra 40+ minutes to an hour to sit in you car.

The food is quite good. Wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Beautiful views of the attached Golf Course. Atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice.

Excellent, pro-level course. Good facilities with a superior clubhouse restaurant. Staff is very good. Golf is a bit pricey for the value but a good experience overall.

Attended for a fundraising gala. The food and service were mediocre. The creme brulee was not cooked all the way and people at the table were waiting for almost 15 minutes for their food while others had already been served. The room is also on the small side, best for events with less than 100 guests if you want to have a dance floor.

Took nearly 5 hours

Aside from waiting around for 10 min for the check-in guy after calling in with an ETA on my arrival, and the reservation system not updating (clubs fault) fast enough complicating finding our reservation we made online... The room, and check-in attendant made up for it. He gave us a room as I showed him the one I made on my phone, and assured us he would get the paper work figured out before our check out in the morning. Cool place to stay.

It was a wonderful venue, plenty of parking easy to find. The staff was very helpful and polite. The food was delicious and cooked just right. I would completely recommend hosting any company gatherings here.

Good lunch and dinner for non golfers. Re course, focus on accuracy rather than distance.

Was there for a golf event and I must say, the club was lovely. From right when you walk in, the grounds are beautifully kept, a feeling which only grew on the course. The staff was extremely kind and went out of their way to accommodate guests. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and I highly recommend it.

The Glen club is a beautiful golf course with rolling fairways. Very challenging for players like me. The clubhouse is great for hosting private events too. Ive been to a few fund raisers and seminars here and the service and amenities have always been top notch. I highly recommend their stay and play package too.

Went there for a wedding. The venue was very elegant and the service was excellent. The outdoor ceremony site was protected with shade so it wasnt unbearably hot. It was a beautiful wedding.
