Likely my favorite park in the area. I didnt pull my board out to skate but the slate park here is well maintained and not too busy. I sat by the skating area and read a book. I was honestly surprised at the skill the skaters had. Back home you wouldnt see that kind of talent just hanging at the park. The trail here is nice and calm with beautiful trees providing nice shade to the path. The seating seemed to all have a good amount of shade and it was overall just a very pleasant experience. Glad out of the 3 or 4 parks I visited that this was one of them. Ideal for teens and adults. I dont recall a playground of any sort for children. If there is one Id put 6 stars if I could. Great, safe, well maintained place!

We go to Runyon every Sunday morning. Great way to socialize the pup off leash and burn some calories.Go early to avoid the heat. Park on Sierra Bonita or watch the signs carefully. ALWAYS pick up after your dog and yourself - the amount of water bottles along the path is pretty disgusting.Have a blast!

Love this park. Nice and big. Very diverse of what to do there. There is a dog park, a couple of playgrounds if you got kiddos, lots of open space, baseball fields, and even a hiking trail. I love taking my dog here though shes not a fan of the dog park. But she likes to explore and theres plenty of that here.

A very nice park in La Crescenta. This park is a great place to take a walk or jog. Its at a safe location, there are picnic tables for parties, a play area for kids, softball fields, a skate & dog park, a recreation area and hiking trails behind it. Its a place to relax and have a great time. Definitely visit this park, you wont regret.

This park is wonderful for its flat running area, back trails, basketball court(closed currently), trees, and relaxed nature. It has things for everyone, and is quite calm at most times. The tree shade is great in many areas. The park represents well for La Crescenta, and many a good times have been had here.

Shady park with plenty of space. There is a trail about 1.5 miles long for jogging. Dog park is near by. A bunch of unmaintained trails leading into the hills. There are reasonably clean toilets and two playgrounds.

Great dog park with lots of trees and shade. Theyre using wood chips and dirt here, no grass or turf however youll notice the dirt isnt the kind that makes your dog dirty so thats a bonus. There is also a large water trough and fountain for water breaks. Finally, two areas for small and large dogs are separated by fences.

I really like this park because it is big, has lots of trees and shade and grass, and a nice trail loop of 1 mile. The dog parks are nice also and usually have friendly people in them.Theres a couple playgrounds for kids, one of which is like a mini rock climbing course which is super cool. The park is so big its typically not too crowded, which is awesome. There are also some fun signs about the history of the park and area which are quite interesting.

This is a good park. Theres a skate park, dog park, people park, park-ing lots, all the parks. There is trail system, public restrooms, plenty of free parking, and many trees that provide plenty of shade on hot days. Plenty of open space, too, so you wont run out of grass.

Hiking is great. The dog park has mostly wood chips as ground cover and has a lot of bacteria in it. When we used to take our dogs there they always got kennel cough or something. We stopped going to the dog park and they havent been sick since. Wood chips hold lots of bacteria. Its not a good choice for a dog park.

Between 1934 and 1957, most of this area in Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park was a private park owned by the German-American League. The private park, named Hindenburg Park in memorial of former German President Paul Von Hindenburg, was a center for German culture. In 1939, due to growing anti-German sentiment during World War II, the League changed the name of their park to La Crescenta Picnic Grounds. During the years of private operation, the grounds held hundreds of elaborate German cultural celebrations, featuring bands, plays, dances, and parades, with literally thousands of participants each weekend.

We love this park! It is the biggest park in our whole area and has so much to offer. Beyond strolling beaneath the shady splendor of the ancient oaks, dog owners can let their fur babies run wild in the dog parks (large and small dogs each have their own areas). They even added a play area specially for skate boarders. This is a wonderful, expansive, community park!

I love this Park. I walk here regularly, it is safe and large. My only complain, is that we the community recognized that we have many dog lovers in the area and wanted show how we embrace the need for a safe place for residents to take their pets. A very nice, large, dog park was built, which is well utilized. Yet, the trails are continuously used by dog owners who do not put their dogs on a leash, nor do the owners feel that its their responsibility to pick up after their dog, or to actually carry the feces bag to a trash can. Once the city starts handing out citations and this problem is eliminated, the park will be perfect, and we can all fully enjoy the hundreds of huge oak trees. We also have a brand new skate park, baseball field. BBQ pits, clean restrooms, the park is a gem for our town.
