Great place to visit. It survives solely on donations from visitors. I have been taking my son here for years and we always have a great time.
Family experience was great! Be prepared to use porta-potties though! 2 mobility challenged people in my party almost had an awful accident trying to find an accessible bathroom (& they almost didnt let my 85 year old Grandma use it!) Was straightened out, the rest of the day was wonderful. The kids (& adults) loved the train rides
Great place not just for children but also for adults friendly staff only thing bad certain things and rides where close cause of Convi-19
Listen to your family if you have kids and you want to have a good time try this place out every other Sunday second and fourth Sunday of every month in the spring train rides are free for everyone all I ask is you donate this is a must-see place
Our favourite spot during holidays. Plan to visit during winter when they run the trains decorated with lights. You will love it. Kids would really enjoy the rides. Do not miss the train museum where your kid will get a chance to operate the model trains on their own.
Went for a free train ride and instead had to buy tickets labeled donations. Then, the Santa was really rude. When I told him he was being rude, he told me he wasnt because he allowed my kids to play while they waited for the train to arrive. He also said that he didnt care that he was rude. Lastly, every year they have model trains with cookies and hot chocolate after the train ride, but not this year. Also, half the lights on the train ride either werent working or they didnt put them up. We have been coming here for 10 years and this was the worst ever. Super rude and very disappointing.
Great place. The replica trains and environments are so well done. Riding around the park is always fun as well.
We had a blast here for the free christmas light train ride. Fun little train displays as well and the free cookies were amazing!
A wonderful little train park with a great Christmas train ride. Affordable, enjoyable, just get there early to avoid lines.
Awesome place thats depends solely on donations and the passion 9f the volunteers so have fun and give generously. If you and/or your kids love trains this place is a must. I live this place as much as my kids do.
If you geek out over trains, then this is your place. Lots to see and do, and its all free. Only open during the cooler months on Sundays.
Free train rides are awesome. The kids loved it! Be prepared for a long line during the holiday light rides. We waited almost 2 hours for the 20 minute ride. It is only 4 days till Christmas. We went last year just after Christmas and the lines were much shorter. It is by donation, so take a few bucks to drop in the bucket if you are going to go ride.
A Christmas tradition. A couple of hiccups this year (went early on in the season) with a train breaking down and not all the lights being up. Will need to go later in the season. Still a magical time for the littles.
Great place to go for their holiday lights! You can visit the smaller trains on the side in the museum. We go for the train ride during December they have it on the weekends. Great family tradition. It’s free. We usually buy a souvenir or make a donation. It gets better every year love having this in our community.
We had a great time and this is now one of our Christmas traditions.
If you are a train fan, you will enjoy this little museum!
I would have given it five stars but we went on the busiest Saturday evening of the Christmas season. The lights and train ride were wonderful and both my young ones thoroughly enjoyed that part of it. Unfortunately, the two hour wait to get on the train was a bit much for them. They did enjoy the donations only hot chocolate as well. All the volunteer workers were wonderful.
Love the memories that were made here!!
Best time ever...and its all free!
This is a great place to bring kids! The volunteers love their work and are very friendly. I highly recommend this park. The only down side is they are only open Sundays in the afternoon.
Great family fun.
Cute old Western look. The train ride in the desert was enjoyable and a lot longer than expected. Loved the fun decorations along the train ride.
Its a really nice place nonprofit the only take donations and really nice to be with the family
I cant wait to attend when everything is running. Showed up to help with volunteers helping an Eagle Scout with a project. Couldnt believe all the work that has gone into this great little gem.
The place is awesome and tons of memorabilia to see
Still a lot of fun to go and watch trains run
Cute, fun little place. We went for the lights and Santa for the first time. Super busy, but that should be expected for events of that sort. The only sad part is that if your child cant walk they cant go on the train ride (even if youre wearing them in a pack).
Love this place! Its a great place to take the kids.. little miniature train ticket to ride on they even have engineering school for them
I loved it and so did my 3 year old son! Definitely worth it specially since it is free but it is nice to make a donation.
Awesome little trains you can ride and its free!!!!
This is a great place to do Eagle Scout Service Projects, I have been to two in the past month and they were both a great success.
Into trains you will have a blast
It was really nice. Kids love it very much. Specially they are given a chance to be driver of train... :)
Train enthusiasts paradise. Free train rides. The volunteers were super nice. Love the Holiday train.
This place is awesome if you want to take kids out long as theyre old enough to walk they can ride the train .they are nonprofit place so they do survive on people donations but they have a lot of cool stuff here theyre only open from 12 to 4 on Sundays but were checking out if you have some kids the train ride is about 15 mins
The staff was a great, incredibly friendly. Along with their knowledge of trains and the Christmas light experience it was good.
Kids love the train ride! They have a few different routes, and lights at Christmas time.
Perfect place to visit with kids and big kids at heart. The train ride is very relaxing. There are lots of fun decorations and buildings to look at along the train ride. Everyone there is very friendly.
Awesome place very nice train ride very nice staff they even had Santa and Mrs Claus hot chocolate and cookies would go back
So much fun, and so much to do for littles.
Awesome place for anyone who is remotely interested in trains
Historic railroad artifacts and displays, working scale layout indoors, large guage operating trains outdoors
Derek the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Nice museum.
I went here last night with my family and enjoyed myself, EXCEPT for the santa they had. He was rude, didnt smile in ANY of the pictures we took. My nephew and his friend were just goofing around and the santa said rudely your getting reindeer poop for Christmas. We asked if we could get a picture and he straight out said NO! I HAVE A LINE! What line was he talking about? The line of 5 people behind us??? Hope you guys find someone who actually LIKES doing their job instead of being grumpy. Wont be returning next year. Thank God it was free or else I would be asking for my money back.
My family and I love this place. The kids have so much fun on the train and we have a great time checking the place out. I wont go to the mall to see Santa again since we can see him here!
My kids had a great time, even my 14 year old!
All 1/8 Railfans Great Track
The train ride was awesome.
We bring the grand kids here each Christmas season and they love it! We have fun too. The volunteers obviously love what they do and I hope I can help when I retire.
Cute..woo..woooo.....! 4 stars bc support all museums and collections.....they have a lot of track.
Lots of fun for my 7 year old
Nice area of kids
Ride the mini train yourself or check out the miniture train sets and tracks while discussing the history of trains with one of the many volunteers.
My kids always enjoy coming here and the people are so nice and passionate about trains. Its awesome!
Better than McCormick Ranch train.
I dont know why anyone would rate this less then 5 stars. Free train rides by people who love trains and their community.
Cute place with fun Christmas train ride!
Nice experience riding the small train.
If you havent been here you need to go here the guys there who run it are awesome and very nice and who doesnt like looking at cool trains
Great place to go for kids and adults. Live steam trains to ride on. A/C enclosed building for N and HO scale train layouts. Also O scale and G scale outdoor layouts. Everything is free. They just ask for donations.
Nice members and kids had fun.
Our family absolutely loves this place!
Small but very nice.
Great friendly place for Christmas they setup amazing lights and you can take a ride on a small train around the lights.
This is quite a place, especially if you have children, or are a kid at heart!!! Acres and acres, and I suspect several miles worth, of different rail routes that you can ride into the desert, with lots of little things to spot along the way . Miniature rideable trains criss-cross their way out into the desert and back for a wonderful journey that kids and adults alike will thoroughly enjoy. Afterwards, several scale model railroads are available for viewing. All in all, a GREAT place to visit!!!
Enjoyed very much, they are doing great job.
Love it. We go all the time. We have yung kids and teen kids they all love it.
