The trail is on the left after you park near a private driveway. Great hike! Quick and a great view

Youll get a huge laugh a few minutes into your hike when you look closely at the abandoned cabin. Nice trail, easy to navigate, with a very open summit to look at the lakes from above.

Its a good trail. Only about an hour hike up to the top of Whiteface. Good views of the lake from the top. Only a few level sections. Mostly climbing. Lots of blueberry bushes on the way and at the top.

Great hike with good summit and views. Terrible ticks at the top. I pulled at least a dozen off of me and my two dogs, a dozen on each of us.

The entrance to the trailhead is a little tricky to find because its in a somewhat residential area. But there is a little sign attached to a tree stating that its the trailhead. Once you walk in a little way you find the kiosk which has more information about the trail itself. I find this to be the fastest way to get to the summit of South Piper Mountain as well as the only way that I know of to get to the summit of Whiteface Mountain.

Great views from the top. First 15 mins are moderate. Check for ticks

Some views. But a good hike

Nice for late fall and early winter hiking (More views because no leaves). Hiked, Whiteface, Piper, Belknap, Cannon and Rowe with a carspot. Well maintained trails and really easy walking compared to the other side of the Belknaps (Major, Quarry, et. al).

Beautiful hike, but limited parking in a residential neighborhood.

Parking for a handful of vehicles on the wide shoulder on the right just before the asphalt ends. Walk up dirt road a short distance before turning left onto the trail just after the second to last house.
