Awesome, easy, little hike (if youre experienced- good hike to begin with, for a reasonable but not too ridiculous challenge)! Amazing views along the hike and from the fire tower at the trails summit. Not too steep or intense, even when hiking in wet, slippery conditions, though it does get reasonably steep, but with a decent pace it should be doable even for beginners! There are a good bit of rock slabs to walk up, so be prepared, particularly in winter! Well marked.

Did a winter hike with micro spikes. A lot of the elevation gain was on the Belknap carriage road as the gate is closed in winter. Hooked up to the white trail->fire tower->green. green trail was quite icy on the way down-no problem with micro spikes! Very well marked both ways!!

Excellent hikes close to the Lakes Region! Offering views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding towns.

Easy hike in White Mountains for leaf peeping. Scenic water views of lakes, colorful Autumn fall foliage, and forests. Climb the stairs at the summit fort. Visit the gondola area for public picnic area and bathrooms.

Chill easy hike. Most of the vertical climb is done in the car, however be aware - the gate closes at 6 PM and the road is by no means easy - its your typical dirt carriage road. From the top, the blue trail gives easy walk up to the fire tower with lots of stairs. The green trail is more direct but quite uphill - take it if want a challenge.The fire tower offers an awesome view from the of Lake Winni - also on the way down the blue, you see see the gunstock summit can be viewed.
