We go here for the great farmers market on Saturdays. Lots of great vendors and a little of everything! A lot of good trucks with a great assortment of things. Fresh fruits and vegetables, local bakeries, crafts and other things. Also an amazing lady there that makes some of the best bundt cakes weve ever had! We also pick some up each visit. A great way to support your local small businesses!
The main drag in Gilbert is exactly what we expected. It is quaint but busy with activity. The Farmers Market however was a big let down for us. We were looking for fresh, local, inexpensive produce. Instead we found overpriced veggies, hipsters galore, and a very limited produce selection.
My kids and I love coming here when they have events going on around this area. We came here at Christmas time and it was light up with lights. Absolutely beautiful. The city hired a 90s cover band that was rockin, good trucks, etc. It was a blast. Weve also been here just walking around and during the Farmers Market/Bazaar. We will keep coming back to this area since its not too crowded and plenty of parking too.
Beautiful to visit at night when the lights are on. Romantic even
I really love this area. It’s right in downtown Gilbert and gives you a fun area for photos and a pleasant area to walk around and have a good bite to eat!
Gilbert Art Walk & Farmers Market. This was the first time we went to this venue and I was surprised it did not involve more vendors but those There are clearly talented artists who display and sell their goods. The farmers market had quality produce at betty good prices. Family friendly (pet friendly too!) with lots stores and restaurants open close by as well. Go to walk, relax, eat and enjoy the great weather.
I went to take part of the 2018 Light the World event by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The charitable donation vending machines are there. You can purchase animals or items, or donate to a couple of organizations that helps bring clean water and better sanitation to those that need it. (The vending machines move every year, and Gilbert was one of a few places around the world that has them this year.)Also a great spot for pictures. Lots of restaurants and parking nearby.
A fun place for children and dogs. Parking, public restrooms, drinking fountains, dining, and entertainment within a short walking distance. Beautiful art pieces nearby, including a large granite sphere, spinning freely atop a small water feature. (Give it a spin!) There is also a local farmers market that sets up just across the street in a parking lot.
Came here to donate at The Giving Machine for Light the World. Fun to talk to the people around. Spent a while watching kids play in the water fountains. Neat location.
I grew up near Chicago and this was one of the places wed come for shopping for the sake of shopping. I dont recall ever coming here looking for something in particular, but we did always have fun, and would come home with something random that we could easily carry home on the L.These days, I love coming back to see the holiday decorations, window shop and buy something random. The Lego store has an impressive model of the skyline in their window, and I loved the silver Horton outside the Dr. Seuss store. This is a very big mall with a wide price range and likely something for everyone. Even if youre not a huge shopping fan, this is an iconic Chicago mall worth a stop.
We went to the giving machines here, which was so neat. We went on a Saturday morning, so there was also a Farmers market and a local artists market going at the same time. Downtown Gilbert is beautiful, too, so there was plenty to do.
This is the place to go for some great, indoor shopping and an amazing food court [in addition to multiple other local favorite restaurant outlets scattered throughout the mall]. The facilities are beautiful, well kept and spacious enough to accommodate the large crowds of visitors that show up each day. Awesome shops specially for kids (American Girl and LEGO) and a super great eating/food court area! You get a card and then can get food from a variety of areas. Sit and eat and then pay. Food was very very good quality!
Make the time to visit The Farmhouse... Well worth the wait!... Both the food and the hospitality were beyond expections!
Love how they light up the tower. Was to be torn down but saved as a part of Gilbert history. Makes for a great meeting place and venue.
Be prepared for a crowd when there are community festivals or fairs. That was the current situation today and was expected. Thus the three star rating indicating my expectations were met. Disappointment results in lost stars and a pleasant surprise earns added stars.
We went to the Saturday Gilbert Farmers and Art Market. Always a good time visiting the food trucks and venders. Picked up really fresh produce and other tasty items.
Love having a little splash pad in downtown Gilbert! We live within walking distance, so its obviously extremely convenient! The only thing I dont love is that it is completely open (meaning, no type of fence, gate etc) and sits right along a busy road. As Gilbert grows and grows, there is pretty much never a time when there ISNT traffic in this area. It also gets very crowded on weekends in particular.
If the splash pad is not open can you please update the information...we came here to play and the water was not turning on
Love The Old Towns Of Gilberts Water Tower It Brings Back Memories.
Went for the annual Christmas lighting of the water tower. It was nice without being too crowded.
Having that urge to shop till u drop? Water Tower Place is the place to go. You have seven floors of famous stores such as Gucci, Coach, Tumi, and many more. In addition, if you get tired out, there is a giant food court where you can sit down, eat, and take a rest. The wonderful thing about this mall that I love is that it is indoors. So no matter rain or shine you can shop, shop, shop !!!! In addition, I must admit that the indoor design and the water display of building is remarkable and elegant to look at which walking up and down seven floors!
Great place to take the kids. Loved the water features and the giving machine when it is there
This is one of my favorite places to take my kids. Its so close to our house and the splash pad is perfect to cool off. Nothing fancy, beat for younger kids, but perfect for us.
Beautiful location in downtown Gilbert. The park area is a nice spot to sit and relax with a coffee or beverage of choice; watching the world go by. The water tower is a beautiful structure!
Downtown Gilbert. Lots of good stuff nearby. This is a nice little area w outdoor seating and a fountain.
Definitely check it out if your in the area. Theres always something going on there.
Family especially enjoyed the giving machine and the parks little water features.
Pleasant environment, music perfect, horses pulling carriages ride, we enjoyed the lighting of the tower for Christmas.
Night time lights most wonderful
Just a fun little area to hang out. Sometimes there are vendors or a concert, and there is a water fountain the kids can play in.
We enjoyed the giving machine. It will be there until Christmas
Visited the Light of the World vending machines. Great Christmas Time event.
Great outdoor space in the middle of town. Our boys love the splash pad, especially in the summer heat. Lots of places to sit either on benches or in the grass. They have small tables with chairs or benches to sit and people watch.
I donated money to buy from different charities! It wonderful to give to others!
I love this place, great for kids, very low-key not a ton of people. Best part is its free. Only downside is there isnt a whole lot of parking
Lovely place with many great places to eat as well as it having just as many fun thongs to do for free
I love how festive this whole area feels around the holidays!
Its a great place to take the family to see all lit up
I do also have love for this park and parks that provide and promotes artists with varied arts, since I lived in 5 Artisan countries!
Went to the art festival and farmers market. Not to big or crowded. Was absolutely delightful.
Nice place to walk around and check out farmers market
Its a cool little place to hang out theres so much stuff to do in downtown Gilbert now it blows my mind
Went to see the giving machine (vending machine to purchase items for those in need). We bought a goat! Lots of fun; time well spent with kids and grandkids. 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., credit card only. Items are $2 to $150. Available through the end of the year. Excellent feel good Christmas experience!
Always a pleasure to help, a nice tradition and an inspired idea.
Its a nice spot to sit outside.
Nice little walking area. Gilbert has grown up a lot and there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby now.
Got to listen to music w/friends--awesome environment!
Cute little park. We went for the #LightTheWorld vending machines that were there during the Christmas season. Theres a marble ball water fountain and some other water features there that the kids loved. Its right next to downtown Gilbert too, so a good place to walk around.
The Giving Machines are a blessing to many.
Good family time. Safe for family.
Our family had a good time but the splash pad is a little lack luster.
This is a neat place to come when visiting downtown Gilbert. Children love the water features, adults, too. Shady places to sit and people-watch, roll the big granite ball with friends, and family. Close to great foods of all kinds and quaint shops.
Nice and simple place to take the kiddos. Wish there was a little more shade, as the concrete benches were super hot from the sun beating down on them.
Great bike ride along the powerline trail to the water tower. Downtown Gilbert is a fun place to visit with many great restaurants
Such a great family friendly place to go.
Cool looking spot, lots of picture opportunities!
Awesome place to Light The World. We are so fortunate to have these Light The World vending machines so close to be able to donate in person. Thank you Heavenly Father.
Lots of nearby shopping really just a nice place to sit down and eat a lunch but traffic is pretty bad.
Stopped for the Saturday farmers market which has gotten better over the years. My only complaint is directed at the town. More handicapped spaces are needed across from the park.
The kids love to play at the splash pad and it is close to Gilberts downtown where the food is on point for a great bite to eat. Let the kids run around then send em to the bbq joint down the road.
Amazing! Very well taken care of. Beautiful lighting, always different too.
Super busy. There was a Light the World donation machine there and the line was very long. We went Christmas week. Area seemed very quaint with lots of small restaurants, etc.
This is great for the kids on a hot summer day/ evening
Great place to walk around
Nic ed area. I am hoping there is more to do in this area, because you can only eat so much and the shopping is meh, and you will get bored very quickly here, esp. Because its too damn crowded when its nice, because Arizona sucks and there isnt much to do without spending an arm and a leg.
Could use a little cleaning.
Giving Machines from the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints during Christmas time was a great way to give during the season of giving. Parking was crazy.
A fun place to eat, sit down and enjoy the nature scenes or even to explore. There is not much to do activity wise, other than a few art pieces and a couple of waterfalls. But its a fair place to sit down and enjoy yourself.
Needs more parking.
Love the water tower! My kids love the splash pad
Water park in the middle of town... Surrounded by lots of great places to eat!
Nice place to walk around from getting treats from many great places around from bergies coffe, creamistry or joes bbq. At night the water tower is lit up and water works beneath adding a nice touch to the park. On Saturday they have farmers market which I have seen a lot of talented work from artist and had one of the best tamales ever and ppl bring their dogs and they are all all so kind and beautiful.
Went there with a phenomenal woman on her birthday... Happy Tuesday to me. This is going to be a wonderful and fantastic day!
Nice visit great water features parking SUCKS sometimes great restaurants in the area
Took the grand kids and neighbor to the splash pad in downtown Gilbert!!! So much fun. We were there an hour with all the water features to play with and even found a hidden rock for which we re-hid for some other fun person(s) to find!!!! What an inexpensive way to entertain the kids!!
I did not know this was here!!!! Its so nice to walk around and the splash water is perfect for little ones
I am VERY impressed by the options present here at Downtown Gilbert. I grew up here and this place never really took off for some reason when I lived here. There was always Joes Real BBQ (which is delicious and still around) and some of the same breakfast and market stores you see today, but most of the big restaurants that would show up would sort of come and go pretty quickly. Ive been living elsewhere for 5 years and now every time I come back Im surprised to see just how many options there are for excellent food here. Pizza, burgers, tacos, chicken & waffles, barbecue, breakfast, etc. This is now an awesome hub to get some food and hang out in and I assume it will only get better. If youre looking for a pretty little place to walk around and grab a delicious bite to eat in the area, this is where Id start.
