Super cute hidden Gem in Garden City. The museum was much more extensive than I thought it would be. It was filled with so many historical treasures and really showcases the history of Garden City(which was quite a bit more Interesting than expected as well)! All of the staff were friendly and kind. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour which was very informative and even fun for the kids.I definitely recommend checking this place out if your looking for something free yet fun to do in the area.

Nice place for a cozy babynor wedding shower

I was here for a baby shower.Nice building, beautiful landscaping, memorials, and interesting curios inside.For an old house it is very nice. The grand parlour is great for a small event, we could have fit more people than we had and still had enough space. (I want to say 25-50 people would fit...? I didnt check the fire code so dont hold me to those numbers.) It seemed spacious.There is a small kitchenette with a walk through area that was setup for food, not a full kitchen, but just enough.I recommend this place for showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, and memorials; even a small family reunion.

Great people and amazing the work Jack has done! I enjoyed seeing things and GC was a great place to grow up.

Had our 20th High School reunion here. Very nice, though small rental space.

Always a great visit and enjoy the time here.

Cute little museum for garden city all free

I called and left a message on a Thursday explaining that I would like to rent this facility for a baby shower on a particular date and time. I asked for a call back but never received one. Today, I went there during business hours to find out, despite my message, they had rented the room to someone else for the particular day I had asked for. They made no effort to contact me despite the fact that I had expressed an interest and was willing to pay in full. Terrible customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Love this place! We had my baby shower here as well as a funeral luncheon. They have a kitchen there with a sink, stove, fridge, coffee maker, silverware, etc. Would definitely recommend for a small event!

Awesome little out of the way museum

We had my daughters 1st birthday party here. It was so nice. Everyone loved it. I wish we had more set up time though, we were really pushing the clock. The girl who helped us book the room was really nice told us just call them an hour before our time was up if we needed more time. But the guy there that morning kinda rushed us, we had the room until 5 & he showed back up at 4:15. Other that that, we loved it.

Great place for history and even have a hall you can rent for parties.

My wife and I wished to have our baby shower here. During our tour of the grand parlor, the person assisting us explained that despite only being open 6 hours a week, messages left would be checked daily. My wife called and left a message, requesting a call back about renting this room for a particular date and time. She never received a call back. We went today during the limited business hours to pay for the facility for the date and time my wife had referenced in her message. When we arrived, we were told that, despite our call, our message, and their failure to return our call, they had rented the room right out from under us. Very poor communication policies on the part of the Garden City Historical Museum. I would not recommend dealing with them at all.
