Very polite and friendly staff, as soon as you walk in the door youre greeted with a smile and politeness. I ordered ahead for pick up. Let me tell you that was the best steak I have ever had and the side arent bad either. Id give the food and service 10 out of 10. I will definitely return again and again!

Took my son and his wife, to be out for a great steak dinner. To my surprise I was presented with a steak not worthy of a fast food restaurant. Taste was good but of your steak is no thicker than a half inch, dont call your place a steak house. ShouldHave saved my $200 and went to a real nice place to eat.

Recently went and had the ribeye, broccolini and a baked potato. Enjoyed the food overall. Good waitstaff. Denise was such a nice person, I enjoyed having a conversation with her. Look forward to going back soon!

Consistently bad service for one of the most expensive restaurants in town. The food is alright, I just expect good attentive service for what they charge. I strongly suggest that the manager starts doing a better job training the staff, it could be a great place to go. Several times now I have been with a large group who called in advance and reserved a room. When we arrive another group is in the room we reserved for our group even though we called weeks in advance and were told that was our space. Then the staff says oh did you speak to so and so? Shes the one who takes care of that stuff you shouldve spoke to her to reserve a space. It seems that the staff isnt trained how to take a proper reservation. Another time we came in and later found out our server was serving a wedding in the banquet room and trying to wait on us. She did her best but why would anyone do that to her? If you know you have an event going on have enough staff working instead of sacrificing service for the entire restaurant. If instances like these only happened once in awhile I would understand that sometimes people have an off day. However, most of the time in my experience things like these are the norm here.

Wanted to try this new steakhouse! And our expectations were far exceeded! Tremendous service and a very fine atmosphere. Our food was excellent. I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the Cobb salad. The ribeye was beyond perfection!!. Cooked just right and very, very tasty. Definitely will go back!

The service was very slow. If they know they are going to be busy, they need to up the staff. It took over an hour before we even ordered. The food came out luke warm another 45 minutes later. Bland. Mediocre by far for the price I had to pay. Also even with a large group there were separate tickets. I shouldnt have to be told what to tip a server who was too busy to check on our table properly. I know Ill definitely not be back. Which is fine by me.

Ate at Samy’s twice during our stay at the Clarion. I had the BEST steak I’ve ever eaten while dining out here! Very impressive! Loved the atmosphere! Job well done!

Saturday night Nov. 16 2019 was my first time at Samys. I was totally floored by the experience to the point I dont know if I can go back. I was with a group of 15 people and we did have reservations at 6:30 We sat out in the side room next to the Garden. The bar was not over run but was 3/4 full. There was one waitress taking care of it all. Which in my opinion was totally absurd. She tried her best to take care of it all but it was impossible. We asked if others could help her and she said no that they were not allowed to take orders. To make a long story short my ribeye steak was 1/3 fat poorly cooked drinks are way over priced. Due to the decision of management to only have one waitress on a Saturday night service was terrible. At 9:30 PM. I was finally able to pay my over priced bill at $ 62.00 and leave. Very dissatisfied customer

The restaurant smelled like fish, salad bar had brown lettuce, tried bacon wrapped shrimp and the shrimp was not cooked. Ordered a chicken club wrap and fries were cold and the wrap tasted bad. Service was marginal. There are much better places to eat in Garden City

Overpriced, terrible service and rude staff

Save your money and go to Golden Coral. Seriously. Im not a GC guy, but when you spend $39 for steak and get vegetables that are frozen, with a baked potato that seems two days old...no way. I will say the steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. Rocky mountain oyster where okay .... to much breading. What was the kicker is the service, probably some of the rudest people I have had service from.

Good food great service

Went here for their Friday trivia, appetizers and drinks. They have the nicest spread of free appetizers Ive ever seen! Really classy place...not a lot of sloppy drinking. Great food on their regular menu and top rate table service as well. Im from out of town and always hit up Sams when Im visiting Garden. Highly recommend.

They have really good steaks and burgers. Really good for a date night. Highly recommended.

Wonderful environment for close conversation with a loved one very good food and great service

We did the sweetheart beer and chocolate evening. The host seemed lost, the waiters argued over who had to wait on our table, the reservation was a regular table at the diner area. With a messy floor, babies crying and kids dancing and running around to the loud polka music playing at the bar. Waitress very rude and looked bored or bothered. BUT, the manager extremely kind and explained the chocolates and beer well..he really salvaged the evening. We were also in great company with another couple. Had a good time. Just expected the reserved evening to be more nice, instead of just a regular table that didnt require to be reserved. Had to clean my shoes after from all the rice and food and the floor. NEED a nice place for special events, anniversaries, etc. With no crying kids or a big mess. And a wait staff that knows what respect is! Rude when they talk about their customers right next to them. Sound like clucking chickens. Smh

Great food. Good service; when they realized what a large group we had, they gave us the back room by the fire pit/patio. Only thing I would say is, they need to put more sound absorbing materials in there. You get 40 people talking in there and its LOUD.

Top-notch steaks! Of course, youre in feedlot country, so that makes sense. Food other than steaks is good but not great. Prices are a little high, but if youre going for a steak and money isnt a huge factor, this is your best bet. The Kansas City steak will almost melt in your mouth! Dont come for the veggies; come for the steak!

This is one of the best restaurants in the area! They have amazing seafood and steaks and a really great variety of other menu items! I stayed in Garden for the weekend and we ate almost every meal here, because we enjoyed it so much and saw so many things on the menu we wanted to try. We werent disappointed one bit! Really good quality food too. I went with a foodie friend who is normally pretty critical of restaurants and she was over the moon about Samys! Their Sunday brunch is phenomenal too! They had every kind of food you could think of and it was all amazing! Their wait staff is really friendly too. We had the same waiter a couple of times and he was so helpful and funny. We had a great experience here! I highly recommend Samys!

Food is a bit above average but overpriced

They had a rooftop party on July 11th and it was amazing until we realized they were closing super early. It was a great atmosphere with plenty of people having an awesome time! wake up Samys!

For the money not at all worth it. Had the brisket burger. Asked for a medium burger was told only can be served well done. Burger was super dry when I got it. The brisket seemed like it was there first attempt at cooking brisket. Was so over cooked the texture was like eating beef jerky. Each bite pulled the brisket off the burger, since you couldn’t bite through it. I was expecting a lot better burger for 20$

A nice steakhouse that provides probably the highest end experience available in Garden City. The salad bar is pretty good and the steaks have always been cook properly. My wife once got chicken and said it was way too over cooked. It’s a bit over priced too.

Great steak- Id exchange the side of vegetables for something else: they were bland and the carrots were hardly cooked. Salad bar isnt the best, but not bad. Great service from the whole crew, including my server, Stephano. $34 for the meal was a fair price. $7 for a single JW red which is a little high, especially for the area but being that it is attached to the Clarion makes sense for all their pricing choices. Overall, pleased with the experience.

You will pay for the atmosphere. The beer is good, but expensive and not the only place in town for what they carry. The service is alright at the best of times. The worst part though is the food. When they opened the food was great, but since then its like theyve stopped caring, however the price is still equivalent to a high end restaurant. Its a fairly classy place in the evening and afternoon but late on weekends and game days it loses that pretty quick.

Moved to garden city recently and looking for a fine dining facility. 3rd time two weeks been there and never again. Dont know why your faculty is like this other than poor management to train staff to be upscale

Food is really good. Pretty much the only place in town you can get a decent steak. It can be pricy but overall well worth it. I would recommend the Sunday brunch buffet, but get your dessert first, they go quick.

Super friendly and VERY knowledgeable staff. Specifically the bar tender Dustin. Knew his stuff and was moving quickly and ensuring we were well taken care of nonstop. If you want good steak, sea food or just a burger, this is the place to eat if you are in or near Garden City. No question.

Samys has the best food in Garden City (though admittedly, the choices are few). My husband and I love their steaks and sweet potato fries. They also recently changed their menu to offer more fish and chicken options. Honestly, its my favorite place to go even for a hamburger! They also now have cider on tap which is important to us. The service is not always the best, but thats usually due to under-staffing. We enjoy hanging out in the clean, controlled environment. They also have the best outdoor area in town, sheltered from the wind, with a fire pit and garden..

Ive eaten here close to ten times in the past year. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are excellent. Sunday brunch is a must!I recommend coming to eat there unless their is a big event going on. Valentines day with a 7:30 reservation left us waiting for a half hour to be seated then two hours after ordering we received our food. We did receive 20% off our bill when we brought up the issue when we paid up front.Wait staff and bartenders work their butts off just might need to add some more cooks and prep staff.

Unfortunately, the food has greatly declined from many last visit in December. I had the chicken fried steak special offered today during lunch. The steak was so thin, it was more like flatbread. The mashed potatoes were extremely bland. The gravy was the worst. I know most places use a powdered mix, but this stuff was absolutely dreadful! It tasted only of powder. We didnt know whether to seat ourselves or be seated. There was no one at the front counter. On a positive note, our waiter was very good!

We have been coming to this very good restaurant everytime I travel into town. This past weekend we had a party of 6 and spent about 400 dollars. Unfortunately the night security staff specifically one member was quite rude to us (although all of us were professionals and conducted ourselves in a respectful and quiet manner). When we sat down at the bar to eat he very rudely said we had to move because they shut the bar seats down in an hour. When we moved he stared at us the entire stay and followed us out. It was a very rude experience and not appreciated.

The security staff was very rude. He was upset because we respectfully objected to how he told us to move from the bar seats to eat. After our objection to his demeanor he creeped us all out, especially the women in our party by staring at us for hours until we left. Following us out to our cars caused us concern about his mental stability. Food is good here but not worth dealing with this creepy security staff member. I would strongly recommend you avoid this restaurant until this staff member is hopefully terminated.

Worst steak house ever. Waited for 20 minutes in while nobody would seat us in a paticaly empty restaurant. Messed up my little girls hamburger twice. Never saw the waiter after he messed up the order. Waited 40mins for him to refill drinks our gives us a check. Had to ask for our check at front desk. Food is ridiculously priced for what you get. I just hope my family doesnt get sick from here.

If you stay at the Clarion you will have a discount. If you want a steak it will cost you. There are less pricier options like burgers sandwiches etc. they are very good. Generally a pricey restaurant. But good.
