Muñecas Taco Garden was unbelievably good. My wife hates 1. New places 2. Most tacos 3. Shrimp. Took her here for her first time tonight, and she devoured the tacos, ate some of my shrimp taco and cant wait to go back. Ive been here 3 times and I swear it just keeps getting better.

Way to many homeless people around here. Why would the city of Gainesville allow them to bother people while they are eating and so forth? Could probably be a nice place otherwise.

I love this place, all different types music. A great place to sit out under the stars and enjoy the bands, people and food vendors. All free! (Except the food cost of course). You don’t just find entertainment like this anywhere Especially free. Bring your own coolers and seating if you like or sit on the grass.

I love going here for the local farmers market every Wednesday. Delicious fresh produce, bread, ice cream, everything you could want! Its usually accompanied with live music and kids playing in the grass. Really a nice place to spend a hour or so every Wednesday.

They had a vintage market there today .. alot of really cool stuff

Free. Every event Ive seen there has been free.Free music events on a semiregular basis is awesome!And it isnt just music, they do Yoga, a Farmers market and various other pop-up events.Get downtown for some of these events and find yourself into a welcoming community!

This is a good place for get a great time with friends and family! Every Friday they have live music and on Wednesday have a farmer’s market, this place is amazing to stay with kids because is open and big! The kids can run and play in a very safe place!

The Wednesday evening Farmers Market is the best! Live music and tons of local venders with fresh, hot food and crops. There is also a huge area for kids to play and it is dog friendly.

It was great. They have live concerts and plenty of places to eat. Its fun for the whole family.

Bo Diddley is really small, so when events happen, the city typically has to shut down some adjacent streets to fit some vendors. They are doing some minor renovations to it right now, but its going to be hard to improve on it with the lack of space. On the plus side, its in a pretty walkable area with downtown nearby.

The Friday night concerts are great. The bands are always good. Great mix of people from ages 1 to 100! Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy.

Its a great community area. Super cool in that way. As far as sound quality for a venue, its just ok.

Great setting and great music. There is also vendors with interesting things to see and also there is food and beer available. Nice enjoyable place to go on a Friday night.

Good place to gather in Gainesville on a Wednesday for the farmers market.

Bo Diddley Plaza is named after the blues singer. He had a home in our area for the longest time. Prizes in downtown Gainesville. They have free concerts there throughout the year. And always have for New Years concerts there and most of the time they put on a great show. Is nestled between the Old Courthouse and the county building. Since I grew up in Gainesville I seen it change and change and change again. I miss the old fountain that used to be in the center. I love the feeling they put on the University Avenue side. I wish they would put it behind the stage sometimes. If you want to take the bus they go buy it if you want to take a car to several parking areas The only problem I have with it is theres not enough bathrooms.

Free Friday night music with food trucks! So much fun! Bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the scene.

I love Bo Diddley Plaza! It truly is a space for all ages and creatures as it is very dog friendly. The only negative thing I have to say is that there are very few, maybe 6, handicap parking spots. Subtract at least 10 from the perimeter parking for a band members, special guests, etc. Needless to say, parking is a problem, but come down anyway and enjoy the yoga, free concerts, Farmers Market and all.

Went to the farmers market today. It was my first time going, and it was really cool! Looking forward to going next week to pick up some more stuff.I love the idea of buying locally, and for a city to have the opportunity to host many farms that are local to the area (archer, Bronson, etc) is amazing.

Nice spot outdoors. Lovely to see so many people (and dogs!) outdoors. Its a great space, even in the overbearing Gainesville summer heat. I recommend swinging by whenever there is a show, just for the experience.

I feel weird being asked how was Bo Diddley plaza lol. I performed on the stage so many times, and Ive shot in the crowd even more. Bo meant so much to every single human being in this town that I dont even know what to say. This place is beautiful, beautiful venue for expression in this great town, and Im so very glad to have been a part of it and to continue to recognize it. God bless Bo Diddley.

Great place for a small festival. Or concert.

Nice place in the town for concerts, they host farmers market every friday where all you can buy fresh produce and local food vendor stalls. Every fall Arts and Cultural festival. Yes this year 2019, India fest has moved here. Family friendly place with a green grass lawn to spend weekend evenings. The place is well maintained.

Imposters Beatles-tribute band was good, as usual, but amplification was off. Nice variety of food/beverages on plaza & adjacent streets.

Bo Diddley Plaza has some Wonderful events. My favorite time to visit is Saturday or Sunday afternoon when they have a band. I always felt safe taking the grandchildren there and we would have a delicious lunch there on the plaza and then sit on grass or chairs to enjoy the music and peoples dogs.

Very nice outside place for concerts. Every Wednesday they have a local farmers market around 4:00 and it is a perfect setup for it. Extremely kid friendly

Farmers market is a great place to hang out with friends and family. Enjoy a cold beer and lots if dogs on Wednesday. I always recommend this to guests.

Bo Diddley Free Friday concerts have great live bands, junk food, dancing, and prancing kids showing adults how to be young; its an open air venue, bring a collapsible chair and maybe bug spray.

Pretty cool place for public events. and the homeless dont badge you as much as they used to, I was far more likely to get hit up for a smoke or change while working at Vpizza and Amelias than I was at the Plaza.

Super great community gathering place. Great bands. Wonderful folks come out to enjoy the music. People are all very respectful. Smoking is not allowed in the people area which for healths sake is great. The taxpayers support a real gem in my opinion. Thank you Gainesville!

Great live free music and family oriented atmosphere!

Great environment. Great Farmers market every Wednesday, 4-7. Chill, outdoor restaurant on premises along with a coffee shop. They have a lot to offer for getting community as well. Yoga, concerts and more.

It is a nice place to organise medium sized gatherings. For example, because theres a considerable but not huge Indian community in Gainesville, India Fest was a perfect fit for the place. It has a stage for performances, has a beer bar, theres a central area for seating and theres a bathroom at the beer bar too. I saw free sunscreen dispensers too, a very intuitive device to have at a place of gathering in Florida.

Gainesville has free concerts Sat nights and some are really good. The last one had Jimi Hendrix on stilts!!

Fest. Skate punk. Awesome venue. Well-organized event overall. Ideal setting with great views, beer and the cutest coffee shop ever. I wasn’t smart enough to take pics. Fail.

The square is beautiful and the two shops have great products. Very nice, but its not unusual for there to be quite a few homeless people there.

The people here are always so polite and they host free events like free Yoga at 6pm on weekdays. And free martial arts and dancing on saturdays at noon.

It was clean and well maintained, we enjoyed playing with our kids on the lawn.

No public picnic tables or seating, unless your sitting on the ground or on a narrow brick wall. They used to have these, but now you cant have a seated lunch at the plaza unless you eat from one of the two establishments on the plazas perimeter. I love the plaza for its events, but otherwise, its been harder to enjoy since the changes.

This park is cool. They have concerts on Friday nights here. Wednesday they have a farmers market. Something is always going on! Theres a little restraint in the middle that sells beer and interesting food options.If you happen by it has soft grass so you see kids reguarly playing there. There is no official seating there. It has a brick cutout along the peremiter that you can sit at if theres space.

The plaza is great, but they now have steamers at the plaza which is a great place to eat great food, a bit pricey, no beer unfortunately, worth the visit.

The Farmers Market on Wednesdays is a must for any connoisseur of fine local foods

The Bo Diddley Plaza is my favorite mixing spot for the best Gainesville has to offer. The Wednesday Farmers Market brings in the local fare from the area with music and kids playing on the green. The Friday Free Concerts feature the spectrum of local bands from Bluegrass to Funk to enjoy with dance and picnic with the eats from nearby restaurants and cafes.
