Great area to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Be advised that dogs are NOT allowed on the walk way around the lake.Childrens playground was clean and well let with no signs of cigarettes butts or graffiti. Test rooms were clean for public restrooms in a park.

Nice scenic trails. You can get in about a three mile walk and see plenty of birds and wildlife along the way.

Other than being a great walking trail, this park has a wonderful DOG PARK!. Well kept and spacious. Lots of trees in the center and lots of open grass area for human/pup interaction. It is divided into large and small dog areas, big plus. Water is supplied in each area (very muddy around the cement slab after it rains so take towels or blanket to protect your car). The tall fence looks new and very secure no holes for escape. There is a main entrance with double gates to unleash before they enter the park. The three larger gates for the mowers are chained and locked, another big plus. If you are planning on hanging around while your pups play, take a seat because the only benches available are outside the fence. Love this place! It is a hidden treasure!

I was over the moon last year when I found out about the Dog Park. Initially, there were no benches inside to sit on while the furbabies played, but now there is. They also designated a side for large dog and the other for small dogs.

The route that the maps took us brought us to a locked gate that only had an opening big enough for foot traffic to go though and it appeared to be some sort of power substation. No parking was available to be able to walk through the small entrance. Appears closed to me.

The boardwalks are closed, so the walking path goes around the banks of the river only--maybe a 1.5 mile walk out and back from the mall. We did not use the dog park.

Peaceful easy walking trail. If u need a moment to yourself to unwind and /or exercise, this is an excellent trail . It runs from Gadsden Mall to 11th Street . Theres a dog park on the mall end, complete with watering bowls and separate fenced areas for big and little dogs. My dogs love the freedom of chasing balls and smelling all the dogs messages peed there before then leaving a pee message of tbeir own - its like doggie Facebook . The park is well maintained with hundreds of species of birds . There are wooden walking bridges that go out over the water near the 11th St end. The length is perfect for a little workout or just a walk on the wild side - nature wild, not party wild

This is a beautiful trail to walk. About 3 miles total with most of it on a very sturdy boardwalk over the water. Lots of cranes, turtles & flowers to see. Very peaceful, we go often.
