Comic Hero University

This is a great place to visit on your way in or out of a movie......when the theater is open. A ton of comics are always availible and probably the best service in the comics industry. I would highly recommend hitting this place if you in Downtown Fully.

Went with my friend to purchase the new Thor. They had issues 4 and 5. My friend purchased some other new releases. Not a lot of back issues. The cashier answered our questions matter of factly. But, when asked about certain back issues, he casually told us to check out the cabinets under the newer issues. He continued to play games on his phone or mini-gaming system. We were the only customers in there and he did not really want to get up and be bothered with that request. Seemed like a missed opportunity to make a strong connection with brand new customers. Maybe it was social distancing at play. Otherwise, I would give five stars.

Great atmosphere, fun amd energetic. The owner feels like an old friend you just want to hang out with. If there is an issue he does t have, hell try and get it for you. Includes an arcade for more fun.

Comic Hero University is definitely one of the go-to comic stores in Orange County. Theyre conveniently located near the freeway, smack-up next to the AMF Fullerton movie theater. Great place to stop by before or after your movie as they have late hours. The store caters to both novice and experienced comic collectors as they carry both regular printings, ratio variants and also process your books for CGC grading. Weve been visiting Comic Hero U since around 2014 at their previous location next to the train station and have never had a bad experience! Always something to purchase there!

Staff did not seem very friendly, wanted to ask various questions about the comics, such as pricing and other. He answered my questions very brief as if not to ask more. The comic book selection was good and they had a lot of cool stuff.

Great selection of new and old comics. Marvel, DC and Indies as well.Well organized and easy to navigate.Has a large one dollar comic bin.Owner is very cool too.

Owner is super friendly and helpful! He really knows his products and will help guide you to the right purchase. He was all masked up and only letting in small numbers of people. Hand sanitizer readily available. Felt clean and safe. They are also doing a Pay it Forward program where you can help Comic Hero U buy comics to be distributed to kids with their free lunch. Such an awesome thing to do in this crazy time!

A few months ago Comic Hero University staff recommended me my first comic in years. I was in need of a new Spider-Man story to get into, and the staff talked with me and sold me on Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. This was the catalyst into my new hobby, and Im very happy that Mission Comics is my local shop.

Comic Hero University is my all-time favorite shop. Nicely stocked and easy browsing. Leef is knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. The shop also features events and a gallery. The BART accessible location - 2250 Comic Hero University., just a few blocks from 16th street, puts it over the top!

I like it. But it has weird hours. The hours are challenging for anyone to be able to visist

Neat store with comics and arcades. They provide gloves and hand sanitizer.

Awesome place to go for comics and some Pops! Very spacious and easy to find stuff. Wheelchair friendly. Enrique is just awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. My favorite spot. Start a pull list. You will be glad you went there. I recommend it to all my friends and family. Location is great next to the movie theater. Keep up the good work.

The Squish always goes on new Comic book day Wednesdays to pick up the latest new issues of his favorite comics! This place is amazing, a large selection of back issues as well as a great arcade with fantastic pinball machines! It is conveniently located at the AMC Fullerton 20! Also the Squishes friend Enrique is here!

My kids love to come here to get comic books

Great place to but comics and find those hard to find items.

Super cool for them to have this but the theater!! So many pinball and old school games Definitely coming back to enjoy before or after a movie

Super cool little comic book shop with a nice selection of adventures to read after a great film. They also have a few awesome arcade games to play as well to pass the time, I definitely recommend checking it out.

Saying that this is one of the best places to get comics would be an understatement, this is absolutely the best place to get comics and even then CERTAIN comics if your looking for something you want that isnt in stock anymore is sometimea youlle be lucky and come around something extremely rare thats being sold, be extremely weary of your wallet though, nothing cheap, but besides that if things couldnt get any better, theres an arcade in the back room of the store with multiple selections of games, perfect for browsing around looking at comic books then to take a break by playing on some of the old arcades they have, but besides that, this is one of the best comic book shops you can come around for around this area, i guess my only gripe with the store would be the person working there himself, he seems really busy with allot of stuff or sometimes he seems like he dosnt want to talk at all, so approach with an open mind if you want to conversate with him, but beside that, i highly recommend this shop to any hardcore comic book goer or if youre just getting into comic books this is a good place to get caught up on and learn more about certain stories, remember to keep youre receipts and tickets for the rafels held there, oh yeah did i mention theres rafels for awesome prizes.

It is a good place for comics

They have a little arcade with some old and new games, even have pinball machines. Nice place to hang before your movie starts

This place had a good assortment of newer and older comics I was looking for.

Great place!!! Good customer service, Weekley raffles, great selection!!! PLUS ARCADE you cant beat that

Ausome place cool stuff cool staff

Super cool little spot! They have a wide variety and also old school games

When it comes to shop owners who really care about their customers and have a passion for what theyre selling, the owner of comic hero has everyone in orange county beat! They usually have items that only true comic book readers would want, and if not hell usually order it for you. One of my favorite comic book stores in California.

Cool spot. Lots of comic books. Video games/arcade. Vintage pinball machines. Friendly people working there.

For just opening, this place is stellar. Good selection with enough inventory to deep dive. Great place to spend time shopping before a movie.

Its an AMAZINGLY fun (but tiny) little arcade with half a dozen or so PINBALL games and a few other games like Pacman and space Invaders to make one (like me!) feel like an adolescent again spending all my paper route money to play for hours in the late 1970s!They also have a pretty large collection of comic books to sell! Perfect place to hang out before or after a movie at Fullerton AMC! It is steps away from AMCs box office, (parking lot near Costco) off Orangethorpe and Lemon, again in Fullerton, Ca!

They have a good selection and variety of comics and are well-stocked for new releases. Pretty small place but good atmosphere. They always post pictures of the week’s new releases on Wednesdays on their social media too

This is great little gem located by amc theatre...great variety of comics...enrique gives great customer service

Straight nostalgic spot! Arcade selection is small yet Awesome...

Staff was really helpful. Great little arcade.

Love this place. Excellent staff

A small, hidden gem located at the Fullerton Train Station. Look for Comic Posters at the front, left side, facing the main entry to the Station and you cant miss it.As you walk up the stairs and enter this great little comic shop, youll walk right into the main book area thats well organized and laid out for ease of browsing or if youre looking for something specific.Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. My kids and I love the small Arcade area in the back. Has a few old school games and classic pinball style games as well. Reminds me of my childhood days spending hours at the Arcade with Friends. This place is definitely worth a look, if youre a solid comic fan like us or just need to do something fun and interesting while waiting for the train or bus.Check it out.

This place is rad. Went to lost levels with the kids and they were closed. Told them sorry and headed home. Saw I lit up sign that said arcade so we thought we would give it a try. We all loved it. The atmosphere was great. No one bothered us we just played arcade games then looked at comic books. It was a good arcade trip after all.

The best comic shop in Fullerton! Here, it isn’t just comics but it really is community. Enrique the owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and super accommodating. They have a great selection and will order you just about anything you’re looking for if they can get it. Bring your kids to get some comics, play in the arcade, or just to say what’s up and ask questions! Look no further than Comic Hero University.

Arcade and comics next to a movie theater? Come on, this is awesome!

Best shop in California. Very nice environment and always feel welcome. Enrique has been pulling my books to years and will continue to do so for me. I once even won the weekly raffle. Bag and boards my books on the spot and has a cool weekly comic strip. I dont collect slabbed books but if I did, Id buy some from these guys. Also play some pinball when your all set getting your books

Ita hella awsome

Loved playing the pinball machines and arcades in there!

So fun and right next to AMC Theaters!

Found good comics. $5 graphic novels, $1 comics, arcade, etc. Would go again.

Love this place. If they do not have what you are looking for, they will tell you where to find it. The owner helped me one time, gave me major discount and the name of another store when they didnt have 1 of the comics I was looking for. You dont see that everyday

Id probably come here more if I wasnt illiterate

Cool spot with arcade games.

Love this place and they make it fun with games in the back.

It has a classic arcade room in the back for anyone who is up some good old fashion game play

I have no idea what this place is but GPS says I was here

Comics arcade this spot is super cool to kill a little time. cooler than a polar bears toenails

Great experience every time I shop there. Enrique and the rest of the staff are always willing to help out and answer any questions you have. They even grade comics, and Im looking forward to grading some of the ones I got.If you shop anywhere for comics, definitely stop by here.

Helpful, friendly staff, good selection, and an always expanding discount section (I wasnt much into comics before finding the bargain bin here, it pushed me into buying other thjngs, yeah, I fell right into their trap...).

Great place, I visit many comic book shops in the area and not in the area. This has became my favorite spot, it always has what you are looking for. The staff is also amazing and your not living life until you follow them on IG

Love this place, super friendly, very helpful! Organized and easy to find everything your looking for. Great selection of alternate art covers too.

Best comic shop in the OC. Enrique is a great dude and always has what Im looking for

Place is cool, has a lot of good stuff. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that they had removed and used all of the digital codes. This was my first and last time I will spend money at their shop. I can only assume this is something they do when they bag and board their books. Three out of the four books I purchased the codes were out of date, They still should not have been removed. But I was not out anything. One does not expire until 4/1/19, Black Bolt 12, that code had been used as well.

I love that comic book store so much!

Quant little comic shop! Awesomeness abound and an arcade for us oldies!

Best place around. Great arcade selection. Great staff.

Best friendly neighborhood comic store I found yet.

Enrique is very knowledgeable and has always given good stories to read when I want something new.

Comics, collectibles pinball and arcade games! This place is great to shop for your comics and or get in a couple of rounds of street fighter or guardians of the galaxy pinball game!

Very reasonably priced and had issues I was looking for.

Great comic selection. Video games. Card playing. Posters. Funko.

Great place to buy new or back issues. A very wide selection and friendly staff too. They even have a bunch of dollar comics, variant cover comics, and more.

Excelent time

Chill spot to go to before or after a movie

Service is great and i never leave unsatisfied

Great staff, good selection, great pull (subscriber) service. Frequent signings by comic creators.

Real old school comic book feel to this place. Cool little spot, found a few comic to add to my collection.

I have no idea why I went

The guy at the register is really cool. Thanks for the good experience.

Some interesting stuff

Very cool comic book store with a small arcade in back! They have some cool old school arcade games and some great pinball machines including Game of Thrones and Walking Dead

Love this place!! Its a fanboys dream come true

Very knowledgeable. I love the arcade in the back in addition to the comic books. Staff is very friendly and approachable. Usually purchase my Spider-Gwen comics here.

The owner is always super helpful and knowledgeable. The arcade in back is great!

Very nice little place, vintage arcade games two!

Best stuff in stock and great helpful staff. Plus arcade games !

Lots of independently published books, forward-thinking authors and staff, and a perfect location for wandering around the City.

New release comic books and graphic novels and some arcade games.

Awesome selection and amazing staff

Sent me a Sudyam variant the had multiple creases....Never again

The cashier wasnt helpful at all.He looked bored to there, gave an aditude when I ask wheres a specific hero over all a bad experience . Then I went to another store down the street and they were alot moreenergetic and welcoming

Easy to find what your looking for and a small arcade with good pinball machines

Cool stuff

I am not a huge comic collector but I have my fair share in collecting (reading, etc). Its a neat place and I can often find issues that the other local stores dont but when I walk in I feel out of place. The staff memeber that is usually there when I go doesnt even acknowledges me when I make a purchase. Kind of a turn off really. Once I picked up a fair amount of issues there, while I was checking out someone called. I hoped he would put them on hold because the transaction was almost done, instead he puts me on hold for a good 3 mins or so.

Small comic shop that focuses on new and used comics books. Have had great artist signing experiences when Joe Benitez and Chad Harding graced the store.

DONT SHOP HERE!! SCAMMERS!! Absolutely the worst comic book shop in all the California. I was trying to buy a Comic book online and the dealer was a guy named Enrique. Enrique and I settled on a price ( a large sum even for a slabbed book from this decade)for a book I inquired. In my belief I thought that the amount agreed was the amount I had to pay him but I wrong! The only options he gave me for that price was to pay under the table by wiring him money/cash in store, in which case I am not protected or to cover all his business fees which would have costed upwards $150-200 more. Upon inquiring for more options that can ensure my security he got irritated and refused to sell it to me altogether. Ive called the store and Iv gone back and forth in messages. He kept telling me Im gonna get what I want very rudely and kept pressuring me about selling it to another person. Also this shop lacks in variety as they only contain books within the last three years. Despite me trying to pay Enrique the price we agreed on, he did not keep his end nor care about me as a potential customer which is disappointing because comic book stores are generally friendly and customer oriented. Do yourself a favor and skip these con artist and buy and sell your comics elsewhere.

Best Arcade Ever! Tons of comics and old school games! 1000% legitimate

Awesome customer service

Love this place...this place has an arcade too! Too Boss

Great place! Really organized with nice staff! :-) My favorite comic store.

Neat location with an Arcade!! A nerds Paradise!

Great selection of comics to choose from little bit of everything

Fantastic shop! Definitely recommend.

Very knowledgeable and didnt judge me for my love of Harley Quinn!

Small in size, but with a great selection, friendly staff, and an arcade in the back!

Hidden gem! Check out the arcade!

Friendly staff, nice selection, and where else can you blow up the Death Star? Love this place and am very happy to have found it!

The owner gives great hugs!!
