Once again, I was impressed with the quality of writing instruments that they have for sale. I had some questions about many of the different manufacturers that still make quality pens. Since Im into fountain pens, I ended buying a German and an Italian brand, and also one from Japan. I wanted to try out the Japanese version, for they are known for their high level of craftsmanship. I also purchased a few blank notebooks in which to try out my new pens. And, some of the items I bought were also on sale, so this made it easier for me to buy more. Its like a kid in a candy store, and I cant wait for my next visit. If you get a chance, drive to Fresno and visit this little gem of a business, and you will be surprised.

Great selection! From crafty stuff to high-end artist gear, Allards has the best supply. Their friendly, knowledgeable staff care about my projects and help me find the perfect materials for the job. I could seriously lose a day in there. Haha! I feel blessed to be a regular. Highly recommend.

The best place in Fresno for professional art supplies. Just About everything the pro artist needs for day to day work. Lots of instructional books, large selection of paper, canvas, and portfolios. Great selection of pens, pencils. All varieties of painting mediums from watercolor to acrylic to Montana cans and tips. Probably slightly more expensive than buying online or at the local Michaels. It depends on what you buy. They carry sign painters One Shot, and Mack pinstriping brushes. Airbrush supplies, and very helpful staff.

This is one of the true Art Supply stores in town...I say it that way because Michaels and Hobby Lobby are craft stores and they dont carry all the lovely things that are arranged on the shelves of this oasis of quality art materials. If you are looking to play around and experiment with cheap products, go to one of those craft stores, but if you want fine artists materials, go to Allards Art Supply Store. Everything in there is quality stuff. They even carry Daniel Smith Watercolors which are the best, in my experience, and American Made. They even carry a few 300 lb options for watercolor paper which is impossible to find anywhere but online. So many markers and pens and colored pencils and paints and canvas was actually very affordable. Love this store.

Allards is a staple for all my art classes. In the sea of arts and crafts chain stores that dot this city, Im glad I can always come here. The employees are friendly and know where everything is. Every trip here has been quick and painless, even at the start of the school year. Shop local!

First time there and I loved it! There was soo many different things to help teach kids to learn in more than one way. It was great! Will be going back again soon.

My husband and I shop here frequently we like the quality of art supplies and the prices are reasonable. They have good sales associates who can help you find anything you need and are knowledgeable with the selection of products and materials in the store. Disappointed about the discount supposedly advertised through the teachers urging us to go there to get our supplies spent $80 and I got a discount on one item for a dollar $ 1. 49 went to Ross dress for less they have a great deal of art supplies canvases paint brushes high quality paint brushes $4. From $ 3.98 / $9.98 pack of 2 Canvases $ 9.98 canvases all sizes yes they are having a back-to-school sale but they know what supplies you need and theyre not on sale

Allards is my favorite store in Fresno! Everyone here is ready to help and can guide you to the supplies that you need for your desired results. They carry a great range of products, from kids supplies to artist-grade materials.I am also slowly working through their classes. For years I was intimidated to go and take a class, but they couldnt be more accessible and everyone has been really kind and supportive. I have enjoyed learning brand-new techniques as well as exploring more about media Im familiar with. I cant say enough about how much I love taking classes here, Laura is a fabulous instructor!

This is a great place to go for art supplies, fine pens, fun classes and they also do custom framing. They have a lot of special pricing events which allows me to get a good deal on products while supporting a local business. I always check here first before buying on line.

I love this place. The only real art supply in town or even with in 50 miles. They dont always have the best deals, but unless youre doing metal work, or something obscure they usually have what you need. They do not have ceramic clay, but last I check they do have the sculpting tools and you can get any color or cone clay at Clay Works.

I just walked out of this store. They have a big selection. I only bought some small things and I shouldnt have even made a purchase. I was made uncomfortable by one of the male employees ( ginger guy with glasses). He kept following my children and I throughout the store. I guess since I am not Caucasian I was there to steal and not restock some of my art supplies. I informed the lady at the cash register and she apologized in a disregarding maner. I will not be returning.... The sad part is my choices left are Michaels or wait until I go to Los Angeles again.On 8/14/19 I received a reply that is posted publicly to this business. The reply insinuated paranoia by mentioning that I believed he was following. Lets just clarify that throughout my working history I have worked in assets protection and surveillance. Presently, I manage a Surveillance / investigations team. I think I might know the difference between guest service and guest service that is used in a pressured manner. Plus, my three children communicated the same uncomfort to me. Thats four of us who felt the same. I did observe the multiple employees present at your location, yet the employee I complained about was in every single department throughout the store and approximately 5 feet from me staring at my party on multiple occasions. I actually communicated with your employee and he was rude. I failed to mention on my first review.

Mind blown by the pens they have... I’m not an expert but I like what I like. You cannot find 0.38mm or lower hardly anywhere. Not even Office Depot. Other than target having the pens I like. The pens at Allard’s blew them out of the park.

I like this place. They have pretty much everything pertaining to art in the 2D, and even have really niche hobby supplies that mega craft stores dont usually have. Love to get my painting supplies from here cause the prices are reasonable.

This..is the BEST ART STORE IN FRESNO..Everything I need I find it HERE. The staff are helpful, laid back and friendly, which makes ones shopping experience stellar. I find items here that are not anywhere else in Fresno. The only other art supply store I shop is the one that begins with a B...lol. I shop there when Im in the Bay Area (home turf from birth) or when I wanna go to L.A.But when I shop local for art supplies....ALLARDS IS..THE ONE

Allards has quite a plethora of art supplies and materials on hand at any time. There are also several art classes you can sign-up for, and Allards has a large framing department that can handle all your photographic, painting, and print requirements. I wouldve given Allards a 5 star rating but they do seem a bit pricey for many of the products they sell. For those pricier items, I will definitely shop on-line!
