It’s not terrible but I get a much better experience at other theaters. The seats are super uncomfortable for me (6 ft tall around 230 pounds) and of the two movies I saw this week the sound was terrible. Saw Empire Strikes Back for its 40th anniversary and only the front speakers were even used, none of the surround sound speakers whatsoever. Then with later saw Akira and they did use surround sound but it was deafeningly quiet. I don’t have the best hearing but not enough to warrant hearing aids. Someone else said I a review that their movie was as loud as a rock concert and as someone who has been to 30+ rock concerts it was nowhere even close. I can listen to movies louder in my apartment without noise complaints. Ive still seen and heard about worse movie theaters and this does have plenty of options to watch, plus on some days you can get tickets for $5 so not the worst theater ever.
Way, way, way too loud. Felt like I was in some rock concert just for the previews and Star Wars movie. Comfy chairs. Left our earbuds and called 3 days later when we realized it and manager Nikki said they were found and she put in the safe for my Mom to pick up for us soon since by this time we were on our way back home to NC.
Shhh theres no one here and its glorious. Movies are staggered and there are built in social distancing methods in the machine. Thankful for the movies
The remodel updated the decor. Typical prices, astronomical. Five dollars for a hot dog. They apparently have a $20 all access movie pass which sounds interesting. Seats are a little uncomfortable, narrow, and dont recline. Popcorn could taste better but its a okay movie going experience.
I love going to the movies. I have the unlimited pass. Its great. Unfortunately, theyve stopped utilizing a dedicated ticket stand meaning you have to wait in the concessions line for tickets, whether you want concessions or not. I dont use the app for tickets because its an extra $0.50 each time. Whats the point of the pass if there are fees? TLDR, be prepared to wait for a VERY long time just to get a single ticket.
So, we ended up in the wrong theatre, my date said that we were in 12 but it was really 14; both playing the same movie but at different times. So, we say down to watch the last 20 mins of the movie... But luckily, the manager was very understanding and gave us tickets to the next show. A+! Also, very clean auditoriums!
I saw Star Wars here in IMAX, and it was a great experience. The seats are incredibly comfy, and I dont have any complaints (besides the film being a tad loud, but thats the case at most theaters). The best part was that I left my wireless earbuds in my seat, and Im so thankful that the cleaning employees who likely found them just brought them to lost and found so I could get them when I realized Id left them three days later! Nicki, the general manager, was super friendly on the phone and offered to keep them safe until I could pick them up. Overall good 1st experience, and Id recommend them as a nice theater for the area.
Great place to watch a movie! The IMAX theater is amazing and comfortable. We had a problem because the everyone in the audience had the wrong 3D glasses and the staff took care of it in minutes. Great customer service!
Get there an hour early!Since you now have to purchase your ticket at the concessions counter, the lines are horribly long and move very slowly. My family and I thought we were well prepared, because we bought our tickets much earlier in the day, but we didn’t plan on standing in the concessions line for 30+ minutes to purchase popcorn and drinks. The concession lines are a free for all with no organization. Theater really needs to be updated if they hope to compete with Paragon across the street. Paragon beats Regal on customer service, efficiency, cleanliness, seat comfort, and ability to navigate the aisles.Do yourself a favor and just go across the street.
The concessions stand closed early during the film after selling me a snack package that offered the refills. The staff wasnt insightful or helpful with consideration providing return value. The movie tickets were also sold at the concessions stand. The place has seen better days, better service, and better management.
The pre-movie commercials and movie trailers go on forever, 30 minutes! If I ever patronize this theater again I will plan on arriving 25 minutes late. The staff was helpful and polite. Its nice that you can order a pizza but the seats are too narrow to sit comfortably and eat too.
This is a good quiet theater to go to during the week not a lot visit this theater
Very happy that Regal has moved to reserved seating. Allows me to immediately see where Im able to sit and whether I want to pick another showing. Also, the new seats, while not recliners, are comfortable and more importantly they breathe. Im not getting hot an hour into the movie and constantly adjusting to cool off. Friendly and helpful staff make this my go to theater.
Staff is friendly and theaters are clean. It is no secret that this Regal needs a remodel, but overall still a great movie going experience. They are doing all of the things that newer regal theaters are doing - Regal Unlimited, reserving seats, etc. And you can expect the typical prices of concessions.
This was an average experience. With the amount of money you pay to reserve seats I thought the seats were average.. No recline available was my biggest problem. I have been to other movie theaters where you feel like you r at home. This theater needs an upgrade.
Depending on which way you get to the theater, it can be a challenge to get into the parking lot just because of traffic patterns, but other than that its a fairly good location. There were four of us and we split to watch 2 movies so it was nice that they had a lot of time options for us to coordinate. We ordered tickets online and had to pick them up there which took some time, but I think the lady doing it was new since she was getting help so the one star off is for the location not for her.
It’s a classic theater but they have seen better... and granted worse days. They are losing to paragon at this point, understaffed, not that clean, and horrible at organizing. Food is meh, even the popcorn... free refills don’t even really exist by the way... that’s a LIE. It gets so busy sometimes it’s not even worth going, plus when they play so much commercials... ugh
Went to see DARK WATER. Great Flick. Theater matinee ticket price was good plus Concession staff friendly and quick. Real enjoyable afternoon.
Really need to organize concession lines better. Wait times are horrendous and then new cashiers open and people behind you get served 1st. A rope system funneling everyone in one line to next available cashier would be MUCH BETTER
Go to paragon movie theater instead. Multiple issues. Upon entering the front door, employees were unprofessional and leaning against the wall as if this were a hangout area. The seats and aisles were much smaller than the nearby Paragon theater. The movie I watched was supposed to start at 11 and instead didnt start until almost 30 minutes after the scheduled time. They played ads for 30min after the time the movie should have started. Paragon theaters have bigger better seats that recline, and tickets are still cheaper, they have a cleaner theater with more professional staff.
It was quiet and affordable with good movies to choose from. I saw Terminator and loved it. The theaters could use some freshening up but otherwise its clean.
They were literally out of everything! Pretzels, Pizza, Nachos, Hot Dog Bites, Large Popcorn Tubs, and even Butter / Salt for the Popcorn. If that wasnt enough, the Coke was Coke Zero instead of Classic..... How does this even happen? Management should be ashamed of allowing this type of situation. Under no circumstances should the let stock get so low. GO TO COSTCO OR SOMETHING! OFFER DIGIORNO PIZZA IF YOU HAVE TO! SHAME ON YOU!
I like the size and intimacy of this movie theatre. I feel like their concessions are always adequately staffed and Ive never had to wait long for extra orders like pizza.
Understaffed and it was apparent from the second my s/o and I walked into the door. The theater itself hadnt even been cleaned by the time our film started (popcorn all over the floor and drinks still in drinkholders from the previous showing). If you have other options for theaters, absolutely go there instead.
35 minutes of previews. Literally. Movie was Zombieland II (good movie) it was to start at 2:35. It movie started at 3:10. Movie was done at 4:50. Movie length is only an hour and 40 minutes.
The radesign they did a few years back really has a big flaw. Sound great, screens great, but theaters are small and only have entrance to rows down one side so you feel trapped and have to climb over an entire row of people to get in and out. I avoid this theater if the option for what i want to see is anywhere else. Also they do not offer military discount. Theater across the street does.
Theater is always clean and movies are always great quality. I think we ALL wish the snack bar was more affordable but that goes without saying.
Very clean. Very helpful staff. Good volume and sound quality.
So happy this theater is starting to show anime film....its better then having to drive up north
The sound quality and video quality are quite good at this theater. The main drawback is that the theaters are not properly cleaned between showings. The floors are sticky and sometimes the seats are too.
It was a little weird. You go to the concession stand to get your ticket and pick your seat. I am also used to picking a seat and it is a recliner. It was just old school seats. For premium pricing you sit in the back of the theater for more comfortable seating.
You’d expect an area as metropolitan as Fredericksburg to have a far bigger and well-maintained theater servicing it. This Regal does its job but has a very run down and dreary feel to it and has extremely crammed hallways for its theaters. The parking lot however is the worst aspect as it is like a fractal pattern around the theater which makes parking a bit chaotic and confusing. An ok theater but it could really be brought up to the times.
Really like this place. Never crowded. Easy to get in and out.
Theatre is in need of some maintenance, but otherwise a good place to see a movie.
The worst of the three movie theaters in Fredericksburg. Overpriced, smells bad, uncomfortable seats, and popcorn is cold. Go to Marquee if you want the old school/best theater or Paragon if you want the newest theater.
Good experience, but reclining seats would be more comfortable. Lots of theaters offer this now, so its something to consider.
So glad to have had 30mins of previews so that we could alert the staff of the wrong 3D glasses. Otherwise, it wouldve been a complete disaster. All ended well, with great snacks and the Star Wars Saga. Regal Rocks.
Not really a fan of this place. Between the way they treat their employees and a complete lack of any sort of accommodation for the differently abled, theres a lot of room for improvement. Not to mention, the Health Department should really look into their food supplies, as Ive gotten sick everytime Ive eaten anything other than the popcorn here. Would not recommend at all. If you want to see a movie in this town, go across the street to Paragon Splitsville instead. Youll have a much better evening. Three only reason Regal gets more than one star is that there are a few movies they get exclusively, which leaves no other choice if you want to see them in the theatre.
New to town and was looking for a nice theater. This wasnt it. It felt dirty. The theater was freezing. Same price as higher quality ones.
The have a great theater, and clean bathrooms. But they really need to have more Food prepared, and they need to take their jobs more serious, and move with a purpose. They are so slow.
Lets get real here. Those of you who have been to paragon verses here. Popcorn first off, horrible..no other way to put it. Taste like it was last years left over. Staff, well average at best but not, they like thier cell phones though. Theater quality and presence is around average. Movie selection, really. Get some quality movies that people want to see and dump the food supplier quick. Horrific popcorn people, be warned.
Nice place, they seem to play a lot of things here that arent as well known. Its good to find somewhere thats not afraid of shows outside the main stream.
I go here a lot cause I have the unlimited pass. Everyone is very nice, but they are pretty lazy as you would expect from a bunch of teens. Every once in awhile I have to go to a Regal thats about thirty miles away and thats just because theres more movies showing at some than there are at others.Heres what I dont understand about Regal...all Regal cinemas...why are you forever out of all food except popcorn and candy? Is this a business strategy to cut cost on wasted food? I thought concessions were how theaters make money, and with a family of 5 that can eat some freakin hotdogs and junk, it doesnt make sense. Occasionally we go at dinner time and kids are hungry so Id pay the ridiculous prices just for convenience.
This has to be the quietest and cleanest regal that I have ever been to in a while. The concession stand was surprisingly fast and very courteous. The only thing is I wish they would leave the doors propped open, its kinds hard to open the door when your hands are full.
Way cleaner than Paragon. Seats are not broken like at Paragon. The concessions are way better than Paragon. The selection of beverages are way better than Paragon. I will wait until this theater gets a movie even if its a week or two later than Paragon. Because this theater is much better than Paragon. Every time I watched a movie at Paragon the seats were so uncomfortable and they never clean under them. Its digusting! But this is my go to theater.
Great theater. Lots of movie and snack options and conveniently near Central Park and the mall plus they are cheaper than Paragon sometimes too so they are a good option for a day out!
Nice little small place and staff is really friendly
Had a ball except for the adults who talked and played on their phones the whole movie long, even their child told them to be quiet
Every time we come here the screen doesn’t work properly. Or at all, they don’t do anything about it!! Horrible
The theater, in general, is great. My only real issue is that theres nowhere in the lobby to sit, if one is waiting for someone. I think more senior, or nearly senior, patrons would appreciate a place to sit. I realized its a relatively small space, but a bench ir two in the corner would be nice.
The IMAX screen is beautiful, and you can feel the sound!
Good seats, reasonably priced tickets and concessions
The concession line was fast but it had no form. They could benefit from a structured line instead of a blob of people. Everything else was great.
Great place to hang out. Good food too.
Really nice theater. I like coming here
A good theater from a physical perspective but they have increased the amount of commercials and previews to half an hour from the scheduled movie start time. Very unsatisfactory and a lot of grumbling in the theater
Nice theatre. Convenient to hotels and restaurants.
Great theater. Clean facility. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even went out of there way to help jump start my truck when it died. Will come here again.
Old theater that needs more updating. Unlike most theaters, the one I went to has the back rows lower than the front so youre looking up at the screen which is reminiscent of older theaters. It was also a pretty small theater. Instead of having 14 theaters, have several large theaters (>300 seats) for new releases with just a handful of smaller theaters for those films that have been out for a while or are not as popular.
Great theater and great service! Love to come bacl
$1 kids movies is great the theaters were PACKED at 10am. The only thing that could have been better was if they showed the movies in multiple theaters that way not every seat was taken. It was tough to be able to find seats for a large group if you didnt get there super early. But overall the kids had a good time and its a cheap easy way to have fun out of the house. Keep it up!
The theater was clean and staff seemed friendly. My biggest issue is that I paid nearly $9 for a medium popcorn that was cold and stale... Id your going to charge that much for popcorn, atleast serve your customers fresh product!
Personally I didnt like the seating too much as it felt pretty flat and tight so unless you were in the 3 back rows you would be looking up at the screen uncomfortably.
Many choices. The closed captioning glasses are fantastic, so you don’t miss a word of dialogue. I prefer Regal because I get the full context. They gave me complimentary tickets when the glasses had a problem. Elderly people attending the opera Live at the Met on a Saturday at 1pm have to walk to Theater 9.
Nice theater, friendly staff and clean facilities. I wiill certainly attend here again.
Nice theater, but concessions are very pricey
Very clean, they have booster seats for children and a warm welcoming staff. Using the e ticketing worked well and fast as well. You skip everyone and go right to the ticket attendant.
Facilities are ok. Service at concessions was very slow...
Worst experience in a theater in years. Took the grandkids to see Frozen 2 and the theater was a disaster. First the were out of common concessions such as nachos and cheese and twizzles. Most importantly the theater was filthy and seemed it had not been cleaned all day. Popcorn and drinks everywhere, trash on the floor, just an overall mess. When my wife said something to the manager (who seemed to be about 18) his response was well, we have been very busy today. Not acceptable. I will update with pictures.
Terrible movie experience. The staff at the front counter was rude. They over filled the drink then watched as my wife cleaned it after handing it to us they seemed bothered that we were there buying a movie ticket from them, we must have interupted their important conversation our bad,. The movie theater itself was sticky and smelled like BO and sadness. It looked like the last time it was cleaned was when the built the building and I think the oldest person there was 16. I will never come back to this theater again.
Snack very very expensive.
Worst movie experience maybe ever. We went to see Angry Birds 3D. They forgot to hit whatever button they need to for the 3D to work so everything was blurry. Then 15 minutes into the movie it cut off. At that point I was done with it and got my money back. Paragon from now on.
Easy check in with online tickets purchase.
Terrible!! 6:00 on Saturday night. The automatic ticket kiosk broken. No one at the ticket windows. Directed to use the concession counter to buy tickets. After waiting in a line for thirty minutes I was told there was assigned seats only and the seat available was at the front row center.
Getting a little dated in age but enjoyed it. Mayne gotten spoiled from the paragons big seats
Just an average Regal Theatre. Some of the auditoriums are outdated, so your night largely depends on what auditorium the movie is showing in.Kudos for showing Game Changers, now please add a plant based menu option to your food choices and I might actually buy food here in the future.
Seats need tlc.. paragon more comfortable
Great place to catch a movie.. conveniently located in central park so you have many dining options and shopping before catching a great movie.. their theaters are clean and the seats are comfortable. They have a well stocked snack bar with plenty of options for anyone.
Went to the IMAX, GREAT chairs, I loved the comfort. all I was missing was the legs to push out like a recliner. The chairs were the most comfortable I have ever sat in for a movie.
Clean,fresh popcorn, comfortable seats
Comfortable seats but no one ever sits in their chosen seat
I’ve been going here since I was like 10. A pretty long time. I felt like last couple years since paragon opened they stepped up their game. But this pastYear not so much. I just went there yesterday and saw the new avengers movie. We ordered about $70 worth of concessions of popcorn and candy, drinks. After the movie I walked to my car and my stomach felt horrible. I had to walk back and forth from the car to bathroom like 5 times. I barley made it home. The candy tasted like plastic and I’m sure it was expired. The popcorn was stale and gross. I shouldn’t have eaten it. So I’m pretty sure I got some form of food poisoning. I’ve seen other reviews about the stale popcorn. Wish they would fix it. If not paragon has awesome popcorn. Should have gone there in the first place. Learned my lesson!
Here to see End Game. Bought tickets for 5:30pm on Fandango and had a seat mix up. Manager got us better tickets to later show and made it worth our while for inconvenience. Yeah, we will be back! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Everything was great EXCEPT 30 full minutes of ads after advertised movie start time. Sooooo frustrating.
Saw parasite here and it was super cool
Today I went to regal cinemas with my husband, and the first thing we smelled was freshly popped popcorn and we saw all of the movie times displayed on a wall. After buying tickets and popcorn, we went to get our tickets taken, and a kind and respectful girl named Brianna tore them. She held a kind well-mannered smile and told me and my husband to enjoy our movie. We complimented her manners and she smiled and told us to have a blessed day. Me and my husband are overly satisfied with our trip to the movies. The polite staff and the great tasting food, was more than we could’ve hoped for. We visited many movie theatres, but this one definitely stuck out to us. Thank you to the polite staff and the sweet girl who gave us kind words. I’d rate higher if I could.
Floor was trashed. Trash cans were full. Bathroom was horrible
Been the main theater in area for a long time. Imax screen is nice, but seating a little cramped, as you cant lean back but so far. Still a good place to catch a flick.
Took wife to a movie. Tickets were as expected. Popcorn and stuff is really expensive. THeater was clean and well kept. Seats are comfortable and not crowded.
Super nice seats in IMAX!!!! Concession cashier Cody was very nice and really fast. Great job!!!
They have the best popcorn here, fresh, not too salty! Sound level is just right!
Saw the movie Harriet. I recommend it.
This theater used to be a pretty good place to go to. Theyve dropped the ball in more than one occasion. This past weekend, we bought tickets to the spiderman re-release online and the staff at the theater did not know that they were even playing itm the ticket person told us to go to theater 1, we walked in and nothing was on, no lights, nothing on the screen, no one in the room. We came back out and asked if the movie would be playing, and we were told (by the same person that instructed us to go to theater 1) that the IMAX theater is broken, when we went to guest services, the person that gave us the refund wasnt even aware of a spiderman showing. This is one of a few disappointing moment over the past couple years.
Reduced cover charge with military ID and senior discount was good. The theater was clean and calm. Id recommend it.
Great seating, but typical snacks.
They are always great every time i go thank you Regal. The only thing i gotta say is the food is a little pricy.
Came to see a movie, after buying tickets find out their refrigerator was broken. In other words no food. No hotdogs, pizza, corn dog nuggets or boneless wings. Only nachos for $7.00. Ended up with a $7.00 coke. Took all the fun out of the movie, my stomach was grumbling.Couldn’t find the manager so I’m posting this.
Great theater. Great location. Great staff.Offering viewings in comfortable theaters, stunning IMAX and 3D, as well as standard projection.Nice selection at the snack bar. Good movies shown, reasonable prices and overall a great experience every time we go.
Clean theater and loved the show. Hope they bring more Broadway shows to the screen.
