I love that this park hast 3 different play areas, each with its own unique set up. It has a trail for a short walk that leads to a small creek my kids like to cool their feet off with. The dog park is adorable with 3 large partially shady areas, small dog, large dog, and a mixed area. The only reason this doesnt have 5 stars is because I feel it needs more of a toddler and/or special needs activity areas.

Ive always liked this park but during the pandemic is the most safest

Our son playing flag football League there, its a big beautiful park, very kids friendly.

The dog park is really nice. They have separate areas for different sized dogs and each area is large. Plenty of room for multiple pups to run and play. I also liked that the water fountains for the dogs was actually working. Several other dog parks weve been to, they havent worked, so that was nice.

I loved the swings and I loved the fact that everyone was outside playing baseball, catching a frisbee, and just plainly having fun

There are 3 main play areas available to choose from that are each age appropriate. Tons of grassy fields and goal posts available if you want to play soccer, several baseball diamonds and they even have a dog park. The only thing I wish was a little nicer are their restrooms, but I still gave 5 stars considering there are many parks & playgrounds that dont keep the restrooms unlocked unless a pavilion is reserved!

My dogs LOVE this park. So much running space and my dogs wear themselves out (total bonus for me lol). I live in the Leesburg VA area and I make special trips to this park just because we love it so much!

Very clean and quiet early in the morning. Theres a wonderful playground for younger tots, walking trail, community gardening, soccer fields, volleyball net and dog park but there were dogs walking all throughout the park and some owners dont pick up after their beloved dogs

Great place to reach your Fitbit steps. There is a dog park, play area for kids, baseball and soccer fields.

We enjoy walking the trails and bringing Cookie to the dog park.

Open and spacious park complete with three different playground areas, multiple baseball diamonds, 4 dog parks, pavilions that can be reserved for outdoor events, and best of all, a mile long partially paved trail that runs along Ballenger Creek. On a hot summer day take the time to go over the small bridge and walk along side the creek. Enjoy the bubbling brooks or venture right into the clear, cold water of the creek! Fun for the whole family.

This is a very large park with several child play areas, two dog parks, and several athletic fielfs, including a turf field. It is also clean and well maintained.

Great place for dogs to play! my pomeranian loves it here and has quickly made many doggy friends. a warning for when it rains though, some of the areas get huge black mud puddles that my dog loves to lay down in.

Nice park clean and well maintained. Several ball fields and play areas. There is a fenced dog area that is very popular as well as 60 community garden plots that are fenced in with water and free compost for $67/season for a 15x15 plot. The plots seem to vary from 12-15 feet and a rough tilled before the start of the season(Mar 15-october)

The best park ever

One of many nice features is a beautiful wooded path along the creek and up over the hill. Perfect for walking or mountain bike. It loops around in a number of different ways.

Keller Williams Realty Centre hosted a great appreciation BBQ for Their agents and family. The facilities and playgrounds are well maintained. The ball diamond next to the pavilion looked ready for a professional team. A jewel in Frederick’s crown.

I was truly surprised I had never been here before. We had our FAME annual picnic here. What a well kept beautiful area. It was perfect.

This a well maintained and safe park with plenty of spaces for running, sports, pets, and parties.

Love taking the Boys here, one of their favorite places. Would love to see astro turf in the fields or something to combat how muddy it gets in the large Dog sections.

Four big separate dog parks is amazing - two for small and medium sized dogs and two for all sizes. When we were there, almost everyone congregated in the same park with about 20+ dogs.

I think it is great that Frederick County provides this area. We have moved from MD but were visiting. Murphy even saw an old friend. I see the enlarged the country are. Wished I had this here.

Great athletic fields, our daughter plays here every saturday with her field hockey team. Our church actually rents out space here once a year for a fellowship barbeque as well. The dog park is also very nice from what i hear

Great park with multiple fields for baseball, soccer or lacrosse. A fenced field for leagues. A large dog park and community garden. A path that circles next to the creek. It would be great if basketball courts were included.

Ive grown up with this park and it has come a long way, from adding a dog park and a community garden, to additional soft ball fields, a turf stadium and more playgrounds. Plenty of space for picnics and a lovely trail in the back.

My grandson really enjoys this park. They have smaller play equipment for younger children. Weve also also found that the other park goers were friendly and well behaved.

Great park. Has nice walking paths that are lit at night. Free on street parking and only a few blocks away from the main streets.

Very nice park, has lots of baseball fields, a few soccer fields, a running trail towards the back that goes through a lovely patch of woods, and a dog park. Its a very well maintained park, with clean areas and lots of parking. Friendly people here and lots of activities going on with local groups as well. There are several shelters that can be reserved as well as several play grounds for children. A beautiful park right off Ballenger. I recommend a visit or a walk around the trail for sure. 5 stars and two thumbs up.

Very clean, plenty trash cans, family-friendly environment, nice hiking areas in the woods, a dog Park, and electricity 4 sound system. We really like it.

Nice park, great place to bring your dog. Large or small. There are two dog park areas, both very large, one for small dogs one for large. Only negative is that the dog areas can beck be flooded.

Pavilion was nice. There was a great play area for the children.

Short, but very nice walking trail, about a mile long. Very nice dog area with 4 different pens to accommodate various size dogs.

It has a nice little dog park in the back here. Several playgrounds all geared for the 7 and under crowd in my opinion. I didnt notice any handicapped swings but I also wasnt looming specifically. Park itself is well maintained and clean. The artificial soccer field is A+ condition and really cool when our team played on it. Not sure of the availability though. There is also a baseball diamond.

Park is great, plenty to do. But as an adult softball player in the league, the fields are not in great shape and batters boxes are borderline dangerous

Never have taken my dog to a dog park until I found this place! 4 arenas available. 2 of them are used for smaller dogs while the other two very large. Clean and people are very good about picking up after their dogs. The park has fountains for your dog to drink from as well.

The softball fields need to be better maintained.

The dog parks are wonderful. A little muddy but Princess and I had a blast! She ran so much and so fast! Well be back again very soon!

Love this park!!! They have like 10 fields or more to reserve for any event. Nice big safe up dated play grounds. 2 separated and fenced in dog fields to run. A paved path to the natural woods path threw the woods with stopping points with interesting facts about the park. A beautiful creek runs along side the path and has a beautiful spot to stop and hang out and take in the creek on the big embankment. Lovely park! Also has a terf stadium available for reserve with a deposit. Good for soccer lacrosse​ and football.
