Cute strip mall... not.mixh foottraffic due to covid
This theater is fine. The prices are high but thats normal. I have no issues with anything regarding cleanliness, concessions etc.My HUGE problem with this theater is how the take tickets. They have one podium in the middle of the auditorium where everyone has to go to have the ticket checked. There are two huge gaps on either side, plus two hallways on either side of those. Literally anyone can just walk into the movie hallways and would never be noticed. And the poor person at the podium isnt going to be able to stop them! Not only is this a HUGE safety issue, but people walk in for free movies all the time! The last time we saw a movie here people were in our seats and didnt argue when we came to sit down, because they just moved to other empty seats and didnt care where they sat, because they walked in without paying. And all this theater has to do is put two podiums at each entrance to the movie halls. Its so bizarre how they choose to do it instead and it makes me so uncomfortable. Just pay another person and have two places to check in!! Until then Ill just keep going to Germantown.
Brought my grandkids to see the Grinch and they enjoyed! We got there a little early, so they played the games in the lobby. Only reason not 5 stars is bc 1 of the machines took our money and we didnt quite know who to contact and our order was wrong, however, they made up for that by not charging for it and bringing it in the theater so we didnt miss the movie while waiting. Overall it was great, I love that the theater was COLD! and the picture and sound was clear. Will definitely return.
We love this theater not because it’s perfect but because it tries to be. The staff is great and always does their best from ticket sale to concessions all the way to theater clean up. No matter what time or show we are there for we are met with happy people who help customers willingly. We literally drive an hour to see movies here and there are two theaters within 15 minutes of our home. Can’t say enough about this theater. Keep up the great work. No place is truly perfect but when your people have the right attitude, the imperfections tend to melt away.
Not enough ticket sellers- just 2 and with seat selection, it took forever. Then we waited 20 minutes behind 5 people to get a small bag of popcorn. It appeared as if all the concession help had to use the same butter machine. On top of that, there was a huge spill at the end of the concession counter right in front of the napkins. I saw 2 separate individuals with cleaning equipment, one with a rolling garbage pretend to not notice the mess. Needs new management.
I have forgotten why I dont go to theaters.got a reminder after todays visit. we arrived 15 minutes early so ended up watching 45 minutes of ads and previews, captive audience. after spending $32 for 2 people, we left with a back pain and frozen bodies because it was so cold in the theater. I also noticed the small popcorn for $8!!positive note, theater is pretty, well kept, star wars movie was good too.
Its the only theater in town, so regal (corporate) Jacks up the price. 30 mins of previews on all movies.Reserved seating is the only good thing theyve done recently.
Movie started 10 - 15 min. later than advertised. More previews than Ive ever experienced at a movie theater, 20 - 25 min. Concessions were the slowest Ive ever experienced at a movie theater. I will never come back!
Great place to see a movie! Theaters were clean. Concessions were decent. They were out of any and all candy I wanted to purchase.
I live 5 minutes away. I will no longer be attending. Every time I have gone in last 3 months--- pee all over the bathroom floor. Told manager--- was told that sometimes toilet overflows. Problem is it is in both bathrooms. Also it has been happening every time I go (2 or 3 times a week) for past 3 months. I truly do not think they clean it during the day.
Nice place to go to a movie. The food is good and not overpriced like boost movie theater food is. They could use some nice seats
Do not sit in theater #6. There is no heat and it was freezing. We left before the end of the movie and got a refund. Manager said they do not know when it will be fixed as the heating unit is broken and a new one has to be installed on the roof. Informed us that ticket seller was supposed to let us know if the cold when we purchased the tickets. Also stated that regional management are aware of the situation and gave this directive! What? It is winter. Bring in additional portable heaters or put the movie in another theater ...
Nice clean place. Early afternoons are not crowded during the week. They could tame down the volume a bit. Otherwise great place.
On a Saturday morning movie, the place was completely out of bottled water. I cant drink caffeine and the other soft drinks offered were all items I couldnt drink. No butter for popcorn. It was a joke. Waited In a 20+ minute concession line to find this all out much to my dismay. I was less than pleased to say the least.
Paid outrageous amounts to see Break on Through DOORS Movie. They have no working box office windows, so you have to stand in concession lines to buy a ticket. Which was one person and 20 people in line. The movie begins and its Love Story, they have no clue how to get the DOORS MOVIE ON SCREEN!The Theatre management forgot to download the feed for this event. There is no excuse for this type of screw up.
Very average movie theater. Clean, but dated furnishings. Staffing levels are inconsistent. Sometimes its adequate, but other days not so much. Today for example, a Saturday afternoon, theyre woefully understaffed. 16 screens and two concession lines is not a good ratio. Theyre losing a lot of money from the people that gave up and walked away like me.
Great theaters, always get choice seats during the week. Crowded on weekends.Nice place, clean. Staff if very courteous.Always enjoy my evenings there!
It was fine. Too many commercials before the movie. Not just previews, but there same commercial 3x (no lie) in a row. Theater was ok.
Nice theater with seats that recline slightly and nice leg room. Nice concession with a lot of choices. Has a few arcade games in the lobby area. Bathroom was clean. Has self service ticketing and window with cashier. I reccomend this theater.
Not pleased. They seem to cater to teens. They put a teen movie in 6 theaters and therefore they dont always get some of the good movies for adults because they dont have room. They also dont keep movies that adults may be interested in for more than two weekends, sometimes less. In addition, as soon as the movie is over the ushers stand at the bottom of the theater and hurry you out so they can clean. I understand they need to clean but I dont need to rushed out of the theater before the credits are even over.
Use to love it now hate it they changed to Pepsi
Been here a few times, I enjoy the theater, but wish there were more room in the seats.
Was okay. Movie jamunji was sold out but expected that. Saw bombshell that was okay. So many ads for upcoming movies before the movie
While the movie we are wanted to see was limited and sold out which was very disappointing, I appreciated the sales attendants effort to provide a heads-up before we reached the ticket counter - he presented the news with a refreshing professional attitude.
The employees are not well trained to deal with public. Im not a fan of assigned seating. Popcorn was not fresh. I love popcorn.
The movie was supposed to startat 4:55. We got there at 4:40. I went to the bathroom (clean), got popcorn and a drink, found my seat and sat there for 45 minutes before the movie started. Local commercials, national commercials and repeating commercials over and over again. Miserable. I was giving this theater a shot because I live closer to this town. I will drive 40 minutes to a theater with reclining seats, great popcorn and movies that start on time. ️
I have been to this theater multiple times and have never had a problem. I never paid much attention, so i have a question. I want to take my handicapped brother, but i don’t know if there’s family bathrooms. Could someone answer my question? Thanks!
Regal has gone downhill over the years. The theater is kind of dirty and the kids that work there dont seem like they care much. Last time we went, they forgot to turn the seating light on so we didnt know our theater was seating, and they didnt tell us either when we went to check our tickets. Also the person working concessions kept wiping his nose with his hand, and then gave out popcorn. Kind of gross and disappointing. Like others have said, there are more modern theaters nearby to drive to if the experience is important to you.
My family and I really enjoy this theater, along with its customer service, and military discount prices. Very friendly and always willing to offer any assistance.
No point in upgrading this theater. The new on 40 will probably be 10x better. At least the staff is super friendly
Simply wonderful! I really enjoyed myself out there at the cinema. You should try too.
Nice theaters, and a few wheelchair spots. Wheelchair spots are very close to the movie screen. Wish some were in the middle.
Morning screening on a Saturday was great! Concessions was very patient with my children. Great experience!
Its hard to screw up playing a movie but Regal has made it look easy on several occasions.1. They often forget to make the food ordered, and are rude about it.2. Movie stops playing mid way,3. Tries to charge $4.99 for a cup of water when they run out of bottles of water to sell.4. Theater is often dirty, littered with trash.
Very nice put pricey 12.50 for regular movie theater seats.
Busy Christmas Eve Day--got there about an hour early to buy tickets for Frozen 2 (wanted to use gift cards so couldnt buy online). On a super busy day (lots of people for new Star Wars movie). Management closed the box office (???) and made us wait on the crazy long concessions line (also understaffed) and which we did for 45 minutes. By the time it was our turn--no seats together--disappointed kiddos and very annoying waste of time. I asked to speak to a manager and they couldnt find one. Whole place was a hot mess. I get its a holiday (so I got there an hour early and waited for 45 minutes)-- but terrible planning/management.
A nice bug theater. With a small gaming area. They had Star Wars characters for pictures by a huge Star Wars sign in Dec. Fir The Rise of Skywalker.
I love going to the IMAX theater. Made me feel like I was in the Star Wars movie.
Richard should be fired! These are the most incompetent and slow people, they care nothing about people, or our time! Terrible customer service, had my 3 year old and I waiting for almost 20 minutes for a pizza, after chasing her around the theatre for too long while waiting, I cancelled everything out of frustration, got a refund and left with a screaming child. Person ordered after me and pizza still wasn’t done. I will definitely never be back, and put in a complaint with corporate for the incompetence and complete inconvenience at this location! GET WHOLE NEW STAFF, these are horrible! Even the manager Demitrius acted like there was nothing wrong, terrible managerial skills, they obviously take cues from your incompetence!
Very, very slow and understaffed concession stand. I was in line for 45 minutes during abusy weekend. The theatre is clean (bathroom too) and audio volume at a good level
A beautiful place to view a movie . The theater is clean, the snacks are good but standard . The movie experience is great the patrons are respectful and quiet . Great movie experience . Will be back next weekend .
Watching Birds of prey .. clean, cool employees,, easy to find help and quick to take action..
Great IMAX screen for watching the latest Star Wars movie! Sound was also amazing. Pricey but worth it for this movie!
Self serve kiosks down but other than that everything was smooth
Nice place. Although the seat I had was ripping so it hurt from time to time. But other than that. Good place. Nice screen. Good audio.
Great place to see a movie but needs an update on its interior.
I go to westveiw a lot and they are very kind and helpful I wouldnt choose any other movie theater to go to but they are a LITTLE pricey .
Great atmosphere. People seem friendly. The movies theater is nice, clean. Seats recline. Bathrooms stay clean.Great places to eat surround the movie theater. You will enjoy yourself if you visit.
The slowest concession line I’ve ever been in. I guess it is Christmas so may not always be like this. 30 min and counting.
Seats arent that comfortable. We bought out tickets online but there was No one there to collect tickets, so anyone could have walked in, which isnt a good thing. Weve been here twice and Im not sure if this is the norm but the previews are at least 20-25min long..which is crazy to me.
Thanks for bringing unique films to western Maryland. Educational ones like Game Changers, and fun witty Booksmart, etc.
Dont get the 3 star rating wrong. This is a clean and courteous place to watch a movie. Food was good. Great variety for snacks. The only issue was the noise from the other movie theaters. If you are not watching and action movie but the theater next door is you will hear vibration from the sound of that movie. This makes it difficult to concentrate on your movie. Other than that a nice place to watch a movie.
Enjoyed, the movie The Lion King, but the concession line was ridiculous.45minute wait for nachos!! My 3 year old grandaughter had to pay$11. Unheard of.The theater was clean and comfortable.
Grea theater and they offer a military and veteran discount
Always a great place to see any movie. And they have a rubber duck crane machine!
Good place to watch a movie, but a bit on the pricey side.
Auditorium 14 is tiny and the seats are stacked on top of each other. The entire movie was like sitting in the middle of an economy row on an airplane. In addition, the seats were hard as a rock and ancient... not ergonomic at all. Very poor experience for such expensive ticket prices.
I like to go here but the seats are getting as old as I am. I am not sure how the theater looks because it is always dark but the last 4 times I have been there I have seen issue with the seating. Broken seat backs ripped seats mostly just from wear and in the last movie when we left the trash can was running over as you exited the theater and I am sure there was only maybe 3 families in there besides myself. The counters should be manned with enough staff the handle the crowds but as the crowds build there is still just a few people serving. I just try to get there early enough to wait. I am sure they will do better in the future.
I thought this theater was somewhat new with the surrounding area looking newer than the rest of frederick. Either this theater was built in the 80s or made to look like the 80s or it was remodeled to be in the running to be in season 3 of stranger things. My biggest issue is price and seats. This place costs more than the regal theater in Columbia and that one has new recliner seats. This theater has regular stadium seats. After years of going to other theaters with recliner seats I assumed this regal would have it. I guess it cost more because they dont have any competition here.
Local theatre, generally clean, but VERY old furnishings in definite need of refurbishment. With a newer premium theatre coming soon to Frederick, and with competition from the more updated Germantown and Rockville Regal theatres, I hope a renovation is already in the works here.
Theater had comfortable seats, decent prices for concession, and friendly employees
Even though I put 5 stars its only because I rounded up from 4.75. Ive been to this movie theater a lot and its honestly a really good quality theater, the only thing I may have a negative is that some of the seat cushions (in at least theater 2) are torn up like someone scratched them up with claws. Im not reporting an evil cat that tears up seat cushions in a movie theater and maybe this just happened recently, I dont know. But someone should fix that. But that is completely it, great movie theater and the only problems are little nit-pickings.
Really good, prices are a little higher than Im used to, but not bad otherwise.
Great theater. Space is good you dont feel like your going to step on someone if you are going down aisle. Does special movies and has a good selection for food and snacks. Its pricey though. Easily can drop $40 just for a ticket an regular movie snacks. But over all worth the price.
For such a large suburban area, the theater is very outdated from the concession area to the the seating. At a minimum full recliner seats would be an upgrade. I will drive to the AMC in Gaithersburg until the Regal theater in Frederick MD is upgraded...Hopefully soon!!
Decent theater. I have enjoyed the movies I have seen at the theater, and it is as you would expect. Typical movie theater fare, including popcorn, chicken fingers, and candy. My friend took her young daughter (3 year old) to an IMAX movie, and had to leave 1/2 way through due to the excessive noise level. I am pretty sensitive to loud noises, but I have never had a problem at this theater. I would bring a sweater if you are prone to be cold, because it is always slightly chilly in the theater. The stadium seating is well designed, and you have a very good seat from most areas in the theater.
Fantastic place to see a movie, but the addition of choosing a seat when ordering tickets from the booth has caused the lines to move a bit slower than they did in the past.
It was a very enjoyable experience. The movie price is a little more than what we pay back in Gettysburg, PA but not complaining. A great atmosphere. I would go back again.
Its the only movie theater in Frederick and because of that, can take advantage of its customers. For the prices they charge, they really need to upgrade their seating. And worst off all, their movies dont start on time because theyre running Ads... Not even movie previews. But Ads. The whole thing put me in a bad mood before the movie even started. I grew up here and its only gotten worse every year.
Great place to visit with family and friends to enjoy a movie.
Popcorn taste like it has been sitting there for 4 months.....and the people there are not doing their job
Expensive compared to what Ive been to, very tight seatings, and speakers were a bit low. The movie itself was great but unfortunately this isnt a movie review.
Would’ve been five stars but when getting tickets, had to encounter a manager who was not nice at all. Her name was Stephanie Lamb. My experience was great all around besides dealing with her. My friend was obviously in his 20’s and she would not admit him to see the joker because he forgot his ID. There comes a point that you don’t know what customer service is when you treat people like this. Rae’quan was not happy at with Stephanie. Upon speaking to some employees, I was informed she does not even have the respect from her own crew. If Rae’quan was in Regal’s position, she would not have a job. The great brand deserves better than a lady who does not know how to interact with customers.
Movies are awesome! A little pricey but hey, whats entertainment these days? A good time out with friends, family or a date can be priceless and its what you make of it! Standard seating is comfortable and the sound system is adequate. We usually try to get the rail seats to put our feet up. The popcorn and snacks were great and of course their small drink is a jumbo gulp anywhere else. Haha. Great time though and plenty of shows to choose from on any given day/night. I say keep theatres alive!! ️
Theater was short staffed the Saturday night I went leading to extremely long lines and an even longer wait. While watching previews the film stopped and the screen was dark until a few customers went to complain this caused another 15-20 minute delay since we still had to wait through all the previews. I usually dont have any problems at this theater but to go and see this happen was upsetting. Next time I go spend a crazy amount of money on a movie I might just go somewhere else to save myself the headache.
Nice theater. Could be lots cleaner.
I would usually rate this place a 5 star but the last 2 times that I have visited, it was definitely a 1 star. The people who bring out the food could use some customer service training. If my daughter and I are the only people waiting, you literally dont have to yell out. I am right there lol And both times they just turned around without saying anything. Usually people would tell you to have a great day or thanks. Its the small things that go along way. And maybe sweep the seating area inbetween movies. I wanted to take a picture of the soda still in the cup holder and 1/4 bag of popcorn on the floor but that might have been a one time thing.
I spent over $80.00 in movie tickets, and over $45.00 in concession food and drinks. I asked for a cup with a lid and straw to share the bottled water with my 2yr old grandson. The cashier said she would have to charge me over $5.00 for the cup. I asked to speak to a manager. Stephanie came out from the back and I asked her for a cup and explained why I needed it. She said she had to charge us because its counted as inventory. I told her I thought that was ridiculous after all the money I just spent. I told her I doubted we would be back. She turned to the young man next to her and high fives him as if it was a win for her. I dont feel there was a need for her reaction. I didnt tell, I just gave her my opinion. Very disappointed in her management style, and what is that teaching others around her, including my 9yr old other grandson who was nearby and heard the conversation. Please review your policy and management education.Kathryn
Love the spacious seats, moderate crowd, great movies, resturant outside
Kyle at the convenience center was extremely polite and helpful. The seats smelt foul food was ok overall experience bad but employees were amazing...still stinks literally
My wife and I dont do a lot of movie-going. But we had been given some coupons for a viewing, so we decided to go and see Instant Family. We got there for a 4:30ish show time which worked well for us because it wasnt crazy crowded. The ticket booth guy was very friendly. He took our coupons happily and asked us to choose our seats. This was a new concept for us, but he was patient while we deliberated. The next person who checked our tickets was also cheerful and friendly. The theatre was not crowded. The seats were comfortable. We didnt get any snacks but had an enjoyable evening.
Been coming here for 10 years. Always a great experience!
Clean and spacious theatre. Video games and tables available as you wait for your movie. A nice assortment of refreshments. Clean restrooms and comfortable chairs
Well run, prices average, nice staff. IMAX not much bigger than regular screen so not worth the price. Sound and picture are well done. Generally a very good theater. Need to add more modern amenities, though.
Ive been to a lot of movie theaters over the years, and this one ranks among the best. Comfortable seating, clean interior, and theyre quite organized when it comes to filling theaters for hotly-anticipated movies. The manager of this theater is great to work with. This is the theater to go in Frederick!
Half of the seats in the theator are broken and ripped. Some theaters have scratches on the screen. Good employees though.
Went to see Aquaman today with the family. We enjoyed the movie. People were out but the theater wasnt overly crowded. The lines for concessions moved smoothly. We were able to get our snacks fairly fast. The theater was clean where we sat(no sticky floors). All in all it was a good experience.
Is a fun place, very clean a tad expensive but is worth it all the movie rooms are big and spacious same with the movie screens.
This is a great theater, very clean with helpful staff. Always a fun time with the kids. As with any theater, the true cost of the visit is in the concessions. They do have some deals, but you should ask the cashier about them. IMAX and IMAX 3D is amazing, and even regular 3D is really good here. They have some cool video games in the lobby. Make it a point of trying the Jurassic Park game. This theater also offers the glasses for hearing impaired people. These work well, but can be a lot to rest on top of hearing aids. And, for 3D movies, the film that makes these glasses 3D rarely stays on the glasses. Most of the time, you can just as well just wear the glasses for subtitles and then wear the 3D glasses over top. Not going to win any fashion shows, but it solves a problem.
Good Popcorn. May give you heartburn though. Good seating and the movie was good as well. However the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Spent over a hundred dollars for 4 people. I would rather go to Plaza 7. Much cheaper and they still have good food.
Came to see a movie that was only to be played one time in the US... Someone didnt download the movie and the manager gave us a cheesey poster and an IMAX ticket.
This was the worst movie experience I’ve ever had. From the seats squeaking the entire movie to the noticeable scratches on the screen and the couple sitting behind me have a full blown conversation the entire movie has definitely steered me away from returning to this cinema. So disappointed ️
Always clean and plenty of parking. No sticky floors. Icees and churos big plus. Yes, I said churos.
