Southern new England trunk trail line. Think that what its called I could have been also in the Franklin state forest. Nice walk or bike ride and trails. And the female im presumingWho left your glasses on the bench near the brochures hut there on the brochure stand they still there at least 2 weeks. Please pick up your glasses. White framed. Thank you.
Since they added parking, this place is even better. Well maintained and marked trails as well.
Nice trails, parts were little muddy but one end was fine. Enjoyed our walk..
Great place to do a few laps
Quite a few years ago we were able to have a campfire at the Franklin State Forest off Summer St. near the camp with the Webelos as they were transitioning to Boy Scouts. It was wonderful and so peaceful. The whole setting meant a lot to the entire pack and their parents. It really made people understand from the moment they stepped out of their vehicles to start their hike into the woods, many for the first time; take only pictures, leave only footprints. (Do you?)
Epic but tough !
Good for a quick walk. Or you can go into the other half and get lost for 4 hours. Been there, done that.
Nice walk did come across alot of wetlands but goes with weather all an all good trails.
Nice quick hike.
The states website describes the forest as historic and undeveloped. There is nothing notably historic here, however, and it seems like an unremarkable area of typical MA woods (no old growth here). By undeveloped they mean there is no trail maintenance, and the trails are torn apart by dirt bikes (which are allowed and also disturb any tranquility of the forest). Nothing special here at all.
Really love this place. I wish I could we didnt worry about the motorcycle
Great park. The Heart Healthy trail is mostly flat, and makes for a nice walk.
Has nice trails in most of it for walking and biking. Does have a rule against ATVs and dirtbikes, but it looks like such a great trail that Im not suprised to see lots of tracks in certain parts. Meaning that you should wear boots in case you run into some mud.
Man dis place do have a lot of trees. they have good leaves on them sometimes but not always so dont be upset if they do or dont. there is dirt and rocks so make sure u know that. one thing that you MUST remember do is this,
Level easygoing trail, Google maps did not bring me to the entrance though, search around the southern trunkline trail.
I Love it is very nice and the inside is Lovely
Nice trails. Brought the kids over the summer and people were walking their dogs and having a good time.
Lots of dirt bikers at times but everyone is cool. Muddy after the rain but no bugs, no poison ivy, and fairly clear trails.
I entered the park at the intersection of Grove and Beaver St. Trails are nicely defined throughout. Trail markers were great heading in, not so much when heading out, pay close attention to your turns!
Clear trails, nice path. Enjoyable hike.
Nice straight trail, kept us nice and cool. Only bad thing is those irresponsible dog owners that dont pick up after their dogs.
Love it, easy and fun.
Nice place to walk your dog
Take my frenchie for walks there. Safe and clean.
Great place. Great Job
Nice walk. Muddy this time of year, but lots of birds.
