I drive two hours past a cabelas and a bass pro in Nashville and Bowling Green to get to this shop, been going for 5 years and they are the best, Matt is a professional and knows his stuff as good as any. Top notch store and service, great people fairly priced. Go see them and shoot better now !
Updated with improved rating. the owner is very knowledgeable. Not the best place for a newbie, but you can tell they love the industry and willing to help. Definitely needs more inventory but I like supporting local. Will go back.
This summer I needed new cables and string for my bow. When I dropped it off at the Archery Den, they said it would be ready in 2 weeks. After waiting 4 weeks, I did not hear anything so I called them to get an update. Call after call - no one answered. No one answered on Instagram either. Since I couldnt reach anyone there, although it was inconvenient, I decided dropping in the store was my best option. Upon walking in the door, I was happy to see my bow was in the press being worked on. I waited 30 minutes for them to finish so I didnt have to come back. I test fired one arrow - it was high but I left thinking I could make adjustments to my sight. After getting home, I adjusted my sight to the max limit of adjustment and was still high. I also noticed that the cams were out of sync and the buss cable and string rubbed together while drawing the bow back - not good. To be fair, I didnt bring the bow back to the AD for them to fix. I was done waiting for them to get it right. Like in hunting, sometimes you only get one chance. Another bow shop in the area was able to get it right the first time. I did call AD after the fact to inform them of the issues. I hoped theyd offer a partial refund for poor service but they didnt. He did offer to take another look (hence 2 stars). Purchasing my next bow here is out of the question. There are several archery shops in the area that sell high-end bows.
Great customer service! I was in and out of the store in no time. The employees were very accommodating and helped me get what I needed. I would highly recommend!
My buddy Vince sent me here and boy I couldnt of been any happier with the people, the service, and the attention they pay to there customers. I highly recommended anyone even near here stop in and check them out!!!
We visited The Archery Den for the first time this morning at the recommendation of a friend at G5 Outdoors to have my wifes Prime Black 1 set up. WOW were we impressed! The shop is was clean, neat and very well equipped to perform any repair needed.Matt, the shop manager, was very professional, extremely knowledgable and pleasant to talk with.Bottom line is that The Archery Den is one of the best pro shops Ive seen in 40 years. The trip todays was well worth the time it took to make the 70 mile drive.Thank you
Fantastic customer service. If you want your bow set up right, this is the place to go. Owners are good people and their staff crushes the game.
Full of knowledge. Really great customer service. Will talk hunting all day long with you. Bought my hoyt from them. I love it.
The girl that answers the phone there sounds like she’s operating on her last brain cell. Very unprofessional and always has to ask someone else the question, then she laughs while talking to the customer. Lost my business due directly to this first impression.
Bought my new Mathews VXR here. Matt set it up soup to nuts, drop away rest, sight, stabilizer, tuned and got a new release. Dude knows his business. Easy goin friendly folks and great prices! No complaints at all!
Took my bow in for a new string, to have the poundage turned downed, arrows refletched and get field points. Took just at a month, and when I finally get it back, all I had was a new string. As a brand new bow enthusiast, it was a tremendous let down. So much for supporting local business.
I came into archery den with a nice bow that was bare bones but I wasn’t looking to spend a grand on accessories and these guys could not have been more helpful. They didn’t try to sell me the most expensive thing or push any particular item on me. Furthermore, they have a PHD in everything archery. If you currently have a bow that needs tuning there is no better place and if you’re looking for a new bow they have the best products on the market today. A sincere thank you to the guys that helped me out.
I have never once had the experiences I see in other reviews. Matt has worked on every bow I have owned for the past 10 years and I have never once had a bad experience. Not one person I have sent to him has had a bad experience. I have purchased bows through the archery den and taken them to Matt before he was there and since and the quality of work is easy to see why they are a top Mathews dealer or any other brand they carry. The amount of work they do speaks volumes about the quality of work they do.
Firstly, I read pretty much all the comments here before deciding to go visit the Archery Den, and in terms of the negative ones, I did not see, hear, feel anything to substantiate what those folks experienced. I showed up today as a complete novice and walked away knowing much more than I did about bows and was treated like I was the only customer in the store, which I was not! Just to give you an idea of customer service, I was given as much attention spending my $3k as the little 6 year kid was who just had his bow serviced. What impressed me most was the time that they spent with him, making sure he was happy with his bow, getting him to shoot over and over. As for me, I was allowed to try what I wanted, they made constant adjustments, they let me shoot again and again. They never pressured me once into buying something I did not need and even talked me out of spending $800 on a sight. This place is the real deal, I wish everywhere I went treated the customer like they treated me. Ultimately I walked away knowing I had made the right decision in my purchase. Not only that, I made a friend in store who was there with his son, we swapped numbers and was talking for a while with a professional hunter, all invaluable experience. What an awesome place, with awesome staff,. I highly recommend the Archery Den.
Very helpful and knowledgeable! Stop in and see for yourself. They genuinely take the time to know their customers and accommodate them.
I drove 1.5 hours to Franklin to go-to the archery shop. This was my last stop before I decided who I would choose to purchase a bow from. Needless to say I purchased my bow from them. They are friendly, and have the upmost respect for anybody that walks through their door. Im far from an expert with a bow. With that being said, Matt explained everything he was doing and why. As far as prices, they were cheaper on everything I price matched. A LOT cheaper on the particular bow that I bought. Thanks again Matt for all of your help. I guarantee you....Ill be back!
The staff is great with repairs, adjustments, and knowledgeable about their inventory.
I drove over 3 hours to check this place out, got there and it was nothing like I expected... very small shop and not very friendly staff at all!!! I went in and no one would even speak to us,so I thought they were busy and they would eventually ask if I needed help etc... never spoke a word and when I left still nothing!!! I dont know how they are the number one Matthews dealer!?!? What a joke!!!
My local archery shop that I trust with my bow. The customer service and knowledgeable staff are second to none in the area. Can not recommend enough. Carry a great selection of gear from highly reputable manufacturers as well as a full service shop to tune and set up most bows out there.
Do not waste your time with this group! They only care about the sale and zero about customer service going forward. I spent $2500 on a Matthews Bow and had major issues. Archery Den had little sense of urgency with my situation. I had to end up going to Russellville Kentucky to get my bow serviced!Spend 10 minutes with these guys and you will see how arrogant they are in the beginning. Then imagine what it will be like when you need customer service down the road!
Best Bow shop in Middle TN. If they dont have it they will get it. Very friendly staff customer service is on point. They have helped me every time i need a adjustment and do not even charge. The experience is always very pleasant.. Customer for life !
There aren’t a lot of archery shops in the area. Archery Den is okay but prices are high and they inventory less arrow building supplies than any archery shop have ever been in. They did not have paper for paper tuning and have a very limited indoor range. They did some work on my bow and the techs seem to be good which is a big plus. My take is that the vast majority of their business comes from selling new bows and setting them up good enough to go out the door. If you are looking for a place to tune and really dial in your setup, this isn’t it. If you are north of Nashville, Hunters Den in Russellville, KY is a much better full service shop with a nice indoor range and everything needed for tuning.
Great knowledgeable staff. They have been very kind to fit my bow for me, fix my peep sight that I messed up and point me in the right direction for supplies. Will return often.
Just bought a mission bow here and the guys here were awesome! I had minimal experience with archery, but Ray walked me through the process. Extremely knowledgeable and approachable. Definitely will choose this place for future archery purchases.
They told me I could trade my bow and 600 for the new flagship and when I brought it up there they said they had to wait for mine to sell and see the difference
Very friendly staff and very helpfull
The guys are very helpful. Ordered a bow for me. No pressure, seemed knowledgeable and friendly
These guys are fast and did a wonderful job setting up my Bear Ls6. Thanks guys
I have only had great experiences here. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great service overall.
Knowledgeable staff and always super friendly!
Not many archery shops in the area. This one has a knowledgeable owner and a good selection.
Great staff, all things bow hunting no frills store. I like that it’s not filled with items that don’t pertain to hunting.
Really nice guys. Fixed my long site and we purchased additional arrows.
I am not sure what everyone elses experience has been since the new owners has taken over but with my experience, It was hands down the worse I have been treated in a archery store or the quality of work that has been done on my bow. One of the owners (not sure which one) has a horrible temper/attitude. From yelling at and slamming the phone down on someone to when calling to find out the status of my bow trying to convince me that they dont know who I am and saying they never took my bow in to get tuned. Long story short, they put my bow in the back room and forgot it was there. When I finally did get it back everything was off. The timing, kisser, peep sit, the axel tot axel etc...When picking it up I asked if I could try it out. I got the response of we know what we are doing. You dont need to. I ended taking it back two more times to have it corrected. It still didnt shoot right. I highly doubt that I will be back. The old owners were so much better! But it was a blessing in disguise. I found Music City Archery. I have never met anyone who can tune a bow like these guys!
We have bought different item for our bows at this location. They are reasonable priced and helpful too!
Their staff is extremely knowledgable and they have excellent customer service. They took the necessary time to walk me through my purchase. All I can say is Above and Beyond!!
Very helpful & professional
The place for your next bow
