This is an amazing historical place talking about Kentucky state troopers history all proceeds from the gift shop I believe go to help a special camp for children every summer located on what I believe is called Trooper Island. The Troopers volunteer their time to make this event possible what an amazing place!
Small but very interesting history
If you like the police you will enjoy this museum, the old cars and equipment are display with care. Also a great staff to answer any questions
The police officers are great, but the people theyve hired to beg money on Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. are obnoxious rear ends. My mom is diasabled with rheumatoid arthrits and dementia, and this is about the third time, that I am aware of, that they have awakened her on Sunday evening to ask for money. Who knows how many other times when I wasnt around. They introduce themselves as trooper so-and-so, though I have been informed that they are not troopers. When I start to explain that we cant afford to donate, they very abrubtly and rudely just click in my face. No thanks anyway or sorry for your situation or any sort of politeness. Isnt it sort of impolite to call at 9 p.m., anyway? Shouldnt they be doing this during the daytime? This seems to be a growing stain on the otherwise stellar reputation of the police officers. I wouldnt give money now even if I had some. I have blocked the number from moms phone, and I hope someone there will cut ties with this group altogether..
