Was told about The Woolery bya weaver in Berea. Drove out of the way to stop. It was worth it. The women were personable and helpful. Questions answered with a lot of additional information. I was looking for more projects for my granddaughters lap loom and was able to pick up a kit and a lot of additional information for future projects..

First trip to the store and it was a fiber heaven! Everything any fiber artist could want. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and ready to assist or demonstrate proper use of tools. If you have only ever ordered online I promise, the trip was well worth it. We will DEFINITELY make the drive again.

Nice people, nice products. I recently became interested in weaving, and discovered The Woolery through an online search. After ordering online as well as visiting their store, I am impressed most of all by their customer service. These are real people who are passionate about their business and really care for their customers. The products they offer are competitively priced and cover the gamut of fiber art needs. Their showroom, while primarily geared to support their online business, is fun to walk through and has a variety of looms on display. If youre ever passing through Kentucky, be sure to drop in.

Love this place for spinning and weaving fibers. A little pricey, but knowledgeable staff offset that. Offers a wide variety of spinning fibers and yarn for crafting and felting needs. Dont sell eyeballs for crafts though.

I have loved the Woolery since before the move to Kentucky. I am not a high-volume customer, but a steady one. So this is a difficult review to write.I have a 16” Ashford SampleIt rigid-heddle loom. At the suggestion of a very helpful employee met at a Woolery class a few weeks ago, I decided it would be a nice addition to purchase a floor stand. When I entered my inquiry into the Woolery search engine, it never occurred to me that there mignht be two 16” Ashford rigid-heddle looms with differing floor stands, so all I entered was Ashford 16” rigid-hedge loom floor stand. Up popped an item, I ordered it, and everything looked tickety-boo.When it arrived, I sanded, treated, and assembled it - only to find that it could not accommodate my loom. It was designed for a slightly higher-end model. There was no indication in the Woolery catalog or website entries to alert me to this distinction.Knowing that the Woolery no longer accepts used items or exchanges assembled items, I still felt that the error was not entirely mine and that some middle ground might be negotiated for my dilemma. When I reported my situation through the site contact function, I was politely but firmly informed that the fault was my own for not entering the exact model, and/or calling customer service to check out the order. I was then (politely but firmly) referred to eBay or Ravelry to unload the unfortunate acquisition.Sorry, but I feel rather like a victim blamed. I hope the Woolery will clarify the distinction between the floor stands for the two models in the next revision of the website. Meanwhile, I have ordered the higher-end loom from another vendor, and will sell the SampleIt on one of the recommended sites and keep the assembled stand. A pity to have a pleasant and rewarding relationship end in this way, but there we are.(The third review star is in honor of all the good times past.)

The woolery was excellent! Traveled there as part of my wifes birthday weekend. My wife was amazed by the store. Place was easy to find! They carry a large selection of looms, spinning wheels, fibers, ECT. This is a store I would recommend to all!

I rode along with my neighbor to drop off two Dyson vacuum cleaners belonging to her & her sister. One in need of cleaning only & the other needing servicing due to a loud noise and also cleaning. I listened quietly and the employee was very knowledgeable and informative. He even took time to demonstrate to us the new cordless Dyson vacuum. She was amazed how lightweight it was and I liked how it stayed charged for 40 minutes. But, we both liked the suction that Dyson is famous for.

I have ordered from The Woolery several times both over the phone and internet with no problems at all. Very fast shipping and good prices!! Called and emailed them with questions several times with fast answers in return. Would love to visit the store sometime!!

Wow! What an awesome place! The Woolery is the Mecca for Spinners & Weavers. I can’t believe how much stuff they have there. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend a visit. I normally order online but we found that we would be traveling and it was worth the 20 min. diversion from our rout just to see everything live and in person.

Ive been ordering from The Woolery for a year or two and shop online or by phone since I live in another state. I have never had any problems with orders. I am a spinner and a knitter. I have been ordering from the Woolery for many years and have only good things to say about the experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and VERY HELPFUL. Finally about three weeks ago driving back from the east coast I got to visit the brick and mortar store in Frankfort, KY. WOW! It was pure bliss! Two adorable dogs greet you gently as you come in, but are not at all intrusive. The selection is wonderful and staff was again VERY HELPFUL. It was hard to finally leave. I love this store! Its not the usually slightly uppity craft store you see in most metropolitan areas, where no one bothers you because they are sitting around gossiping. These folks were professional and lovely. Will continue to order online from them and counting the weeks till I can go back and shop in person with them again. Another thing...they smiled a lot. I FELT WELCOME! Woolery, you rock!

This is a wonderful company with exceptional customer service. Any one who picks up the phone is willing to answer or help with any questions you have. I purchased my first wheel through them and most recently my first rigid heddle loom. Their shipping is always expedient with the utmost care when it comes to packaging. I highly recommend ordering from this company for any of your fiber needs.

The Woolery staff are a dedicated team who works to make sure things are right the first time, and will work with you even if something does happen to go wrong!The store is very welcoming with many items you cannot find in other places, and knowledgeable staff. The Woolery know fiber arts and will work to help you out with whatever you need!

If you are a fanatic of weaving and knitting and spinning, this is the place for you. I dont do this but my wife does, and she loves this place. It isnt big but its full of what the fanatic wants.

5 times I told them...DO NOT SHIP TO MY HOME ADDRESS! I had to run down my purchase with the post office as they were getting ready to return my loom to the Woolery. Part of my order was back ordered and I was told it was being shipped on the 10th of May. I still do not have it cause rhey kept sending it to my house, not my post office box! When I called the owner she was so not interested, but promised I would have it in my hands as fast as possible! That was 10am Monday morning and here it is Wednesday and its still not hear! Have you ever heard of overnight shipping! Im getting ready to order an Ashford table loom, but I will NOT order it from here! Nor will I even visit your site again!

We ordered a piece of equipment from The Woolery. They offered to ship it to us, but we asked them to hold it which gave us an excuse to visit the store. We discovered a gold mine of high quality items particularly for spinning and weaving, came home with several, and will be ordering more in the future.

I have ordered on-line at the Woolery for a few years now, and they have always been fast and professional. When I have had to call to see if they could help me find parts for my spinning wheel, they were wonderful and very helpful. I will always go to them first for on-line ordering.

Their online customer service is terrible. There are stores that appreciate their customers spend your money somewhere else. I do not believe the positive reviews. I guess if you want the suspense of wondering when or where you will receive your purchase, order from the Woolery. Otherwise, go somewhere else. The daffy sales people could care less about their online customers, their attitude is so what, we could have cared less.I placed an order for a rigid heddle loom stand and 2 shuttles. I wanted them delivered to an address other than my billing address, Im waiting and waiting for the delivery, nothing. No tracking number, no emails saying it has shipped, nothing. So finally I email the Woolery and they send back a tracking number. The order was sent to the wrong address! Ok, so I cant use the loom when I intended. When I get home, 2 weeks later, the loom stand is there, but no shuttles. I call them and some daffy sales person looks up the order and tells me that the shuttles are on back order. There is nothing in my account saying this, no email nothing, so 2 weeks with no communication.So when I express my dismay she laughs. There are stores that appreciate their customers spend your money somewhere else. They didnt apologize,they just dont care! The positive reviews must be their local friends, dont order online!

Great to have a REAL yarn shop in Frankfort, instead of just a chain store. Excellent weaving and spinning merchandise and friendly service is a great combo.
