Nice park. Im an HCA, I take my client to this park 3 times a week at least. Its big. 1 square mile. Golf course, soccer fields, a covered area for picnics and parties, a pond and lots of ducks and squirrels. They are very friendly. Especially if you have nuts. Like unsalted almonds or walnuts.

The reason its called mile square..you guessed it its actually 1 square mile. Very large area with many recreational opportunities for all. There is even a golf course running through the center. Lots and lots of people all the time, friendly and outgoing. Beware of a growing group of homeless trying to find there place in society.

Maybe dont eat the fish here. Water is super green right now which could be a toxic green algae like at Big Bear but maybe not. Either way, young dead fish dont bode well. Roomy park.

This park is amazing, it has small ponds and lakes. There is quad bike, swan boat, playground and much more. You can bring your net and play volleyball or anything. There is an archery range. It is really green, lot of shade, and really peaceful. People can ride their bikes, have birthday party, or baby shower.

Lots of wildlife. Squirrels, geese, ducks, other birds and fish are in the ponds. You can legally fish at the ponds. There are pedal boats and pedal bikes for rent.

In the land of social distancing, mile Square is the reigning champion. A lot of people out and about but all being very respectful of space between each other. The pedal boat rental and bike rental are open. Obviously things like this are a necessity to keep the human mind civil.

I really like this park, with playsets, walking trails, ponds, wildlife, and large fields for group activities, sports, and games, it is a favorite local spot for families to to to have fun. Keep in mind that in order to park in the park it has a fee of 3$ for a day pass. But you can street park, or park in one of the business centers on the other side of the road. This place is great!

Theres plenty of space, plenty of parking, loads of well kept sports fields. Archery range. Water. A nature preserve full of real wilderness. The Canadian Geese were in town mowing the lawn. Kids and dogs love chasing them and they dont fight back like American geese. Truly delicious looking birds that clearly know the humans here wont eat them.

This park is very clean and peaceful. Very big and spacious of course the name says it all. There’s tables with gazebo ceilings big enough for a Big Family Reunion. Play grounds for children. Also a pond with ducks I believe they also have the swan rides but I haven’t been on it. #CovidI’ll look more into detail about this but this park won’t disappoint. I celebrated my daughters third bday here and they had bbq grills all around. We picked a certain area and they had one 5 steps which we used to make our steaks. The table at close proximity as well.I just love this park.

Free to $! An hour or all day; plenty of space and recreation for you to have loads of fun! This is a large Park (644 acres) with a whole lot of natural and manicured beauty.Mile Square Park has two Golf Courses, two lakes (stocked with fish for fishing), three baseball diamonds, soccer fields, an archery range, miles of winding walkways (bicycle rental stations), a zillion beautiful trees, wild geese, ducks, squirrels, areas for picnics, several childrens areas, a small island, busy areas and quite areas, and a whole lot of parking (parking galore all around the park (on the street) for free or plenty of parking within the park grounds (for a nominal fee). The park is close to gas stations, markets, a hospital and some restaurants. The general lay of Mile Square Park is level grounds with slight bit of soft rolling mounds (not hills). The grass is very well maintained, plenty of it offering a lot of space to Romo to your delight.I had a good time at this Park. I rode my bicycle for a few miles, I talked with several people visiting the park and several that work in the park. Everyone was very congenial... of course I am good looking, that might help.I went on a Sunday morning afternoon and found the park was very active but not over-crowded as there is so much room there. Lots of families, parties, couples, all enjoying these gorgeous grounds.I think you will like Mile Square... I certainly did!By:cmilton111Google Guide4.8.2018

Heard many positives about this place before coming here on a Friday early afternoon with my sons and stayed for two plus hours. Its a very spacious range with various target distances between 10 yards and 100 yards totaling 24 positions. The stations are covered so coming here during inclement weather should be fine. Some targets are measured in meters with the longest being 70. Stations 5 and 6 are mislabeled as 20 yards even though the distance is 20 meters. Only about a third of the stations were occupied when we were there. Each station is very spacious. Two archers could share a station easily. In fact, sharing stations became a necessity when we were there as there are no more than three stations for any given distance and there were more archers than the available stations at the distance we shot at.Two reasons why I held back a star: 1) limited number of stations for short target distances; 2) insufficient parking.

There are many facilities at Mile Square Regional Park (MSRP) including: tennis, handball, and basketball courts (all on Brookhurst); running and three golf (on Warner Avenue) courses; picnic areas, event facilities, etc. There are abundances of ducks and squirrels around the ponds (lakes). Please, DO NOT put food for the ducks in the water! The decaying food will suffocate the fish! The fishing ponds are normally stocked by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. For 2020 into 2021, the source fish farms are affected by a bacterial condition which may alter the random restocking schedule.Unverified: The California DFW stocks rainbow trout from Winter through early Spring and catfish during the Summer months. There are also largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie and carp in here. Be sure to visit the CDFW web site for complete regulations before heading out. Beware, fines for fishing without a license can be a few hundred dollars. The ultimate running course is the park itself. The self-described Mile Square Regional Park is one mile on each side. For those possessing a public education, thats four miles in total. The golf course extends all the way along the west side (Brookhurst Street) and south side (Warner Avenue) to the three corners, so, there is little opportunity for shortcuts. Many people run in the streets, but there are high quality concrete sidewalks all around. The 607-acres in MSRP are the site of many special events. There are summer concerts, food festivals, recycling collections, running races, rallies (like President Ronald Reagan in 1984BCV [BCV=Before Coronavirus]), etc. And, in 2020AD [AD=After the Disease from SARS-CoV-2], food banks can cause car lines to wind their way within and around the park. There are plans to build a 93-acre expansion within the park. Years of turmoil will ensue. Enjoy MSRPs open spaces and relatively natural environment while you can.
