Great place to go shoot and relax. And if your looking for instruction they offer some of the best. I have taken a couple of classes and I got more than I paid for out of each class. The instructors are knowledgeable and courteous and do their best to accommodate and work with each individual in the class as time permits. The classes are individually created to prepare people how to shoot in real life not some cookie cutter class that doesn’t teach students anything. They make sure everyone is prepared and ready for all training and exercises to keep things safe for all participants.

This facility and these instructors are by far some of the best around. Ive been in law enforcement for some time and been through countless hours of firearms training. I must say I got a lot out of my experience at FTFW and will certainly recommend it to other fellow officers. Firearms Training Fort Worth is one of the best, if not the best, firearms instruction locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable, and the most safety oriented in the business. The facility is top notch with many training areas and ranges varying in length. Amazing Character, Guy, Instructor, Close friend and has become part of our family. Bill has a genuine giving heart and is full of knowledge for all kinds of weapon types. We became even closer when he and his team drove six hours to make hot meals all day for First Responders after Hurricane Harvey. Bill is also very much Police friendly.The range is safe for training, classes, competitions and new shooters looking for a more family oriented range. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

What a great place to train or get some training. The facility, environment and knowledge of the instructor is nothing like you will find anywhere else. This is where I train and where my son took his first LTC class. Safety and educating the students is Bill’s number one priority making this the best training facility around. This is a great place to shoot. The classes are well designed and a lot of fun. Bill Karelton has taken my mediocre skills and improved them tremendously. Im can tend to be ADD so the typical point and shoot at a silhouette target gets boring fast. The variety of drills and targets at Firearms Training of Fort Worth keep my attention and provide a great experience. If you want to improve you skills and have a great time doing it, then sign up.

As a beginner shooter, I dreaded the thought of taking lessons inside, and being confined to tiny lanes. So with our first guns in hand, my wife and I signed up for the LTC prep course. It was great fun and an amazing experience that set us on the path to responsible gun ownership and a lot of fun. Bill is an excellent instructor willing to spend time with his students, giving personal instruction, with gun safety and range safety always in mind. The facility gives shooters plenty of room to move for whatever training is desired. Since then, my wife and I have continued to train with Bill through ever advancing well planned courses. Bill has a strong team of instructors made up of local law enforcement officers and ex-military who are always willing help and share their experience. I believe in this course of training so much, I sent my college aged kids to ensure they too would receive the benefit of Bill’s experience and patient teaching style. I highly recommend Firearms Training Fort Worth whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just getting started.

My wife and I took or LTC class here. While we both had shot other firearms, we had not shot automatic pistols before. Bill was patient and spent all the time needed to make sure we were comfortable with handling and competently shooting our newly acquired .380s. We both passed the class and look forward to taking more advanced classes in the future. I would recommend FTFW to anyone that is wanting a place to shoot or take classes. Their prices are the best that we have found and the customer service is second to none. We anticipate a long relationship with this facility and a long friendship that has already developed with Bill and the entire staff.

I have taken a number of classes at FTFW and am now a member. This is absolutely the best facility Ive ever trained at. I dont usually write reviews online but noticed a comment about the cleanliness and safety of the facility and I felt obligated to set the record straight. I have spent countless hours at the facility and with Bill and I can say with 100% honestly that I have never seen trash overflowing, never seen anything in disrepair and certainly never felt that I or anyone around was unsafe. Especially under Bills supervision, safety is absolutely the first priority at all times. I have trained and shot and numerous ranges, and other facilities and Ive never felt safer than I do when Im here. Anyone claiming that the facility itself or the members are in anyway unsafe is being disingenuous or flat out lying. Rather than a recent high school grad that spent a day at NRA school watching your back, you have a true professional with years upon years of military, law enforcement and civilian training experience. Bill is knowledgeable, kind, and eager to teach in the most unintimidating way, even for true beginners. If you want to learn to shot, or you already know how and are looking for a place to practice, you wont find anything better anywhere.

First of all, the overall utilization of the facility is wonderful. The Range has a comfortable airconditioned classroom with snacks including Teas, Nuts, Jerky and Powerade, as well as having several extra supplies in case you forgot your safety glasses, ear protection or even ammunition. There is also a large amount of land for all kinds of shooting, like shotgun, pistol, and rifle, including obstacles for tactical training (cars, half walls, etc.). I have been there several times and will continue going and plan on taking several more classes.

I paid for a LTC class. I didnt receive any class information back. I tried to call them, only get a recording. Left messages, no call back. I call about 2 or 3 times a day, to get in touch with someone. No one has contacted me back about when, where, and what time the class is. I emailed them as well asking all the same things. I get no response. Now they have my money and I dont have a class. Do not pay for this class until you can get in contact with someone.

Bill is an amazing instructor. Really enjoyed our LTC class and want to go back for more. Very female friendly as well for ladies who are nervous about taking their first class or for gentleman who want to try different tactical classes like my husband

Exceptional firearms training for beginners or experienced. From LTC or self defense training to advanced tactical. Much of the training is done working individually with students so that any skill level will benefit. The range is the best in DFW with multiple bays to work on different platforms including long range precision. All this with an emphasis on safety. Ive sent all my family here to train not only so they get the best instruction on using firearms but using them safely.

The NRA Handgun classes are super and the CHL instruction very thorough and good. All the instructors are very knowledgeable and enjoy their work! They are also very willing to accommodate your scheduling in arranging CHL exams, which in itself is incredible! This is a great place to train and shoot! The 3-gun challenge is incredible, too! Their offerings seam to increase daily!

Very trashy and unsafe shooting area, its a mess trash barrels overflowing with trash old coolers and broken tents all over the place. very low dirt berms with neighbors close by, I felt like I may shoot someone by accident, and to top it off he was late arriving to our scheduled class.

I recently completed Defensive Shotgun Level 2 with Bill Carlton. Its the best money Ive spent on firearm-related material in a long time. Bill is an excellent instructor: patient, knowledgable, efficient, and fun. Bills set up an excellent range on the property. Theyve got all sorts of steel, lots of short range lanes and a 100yd range. For practical and defensive work, its a perfect setup. Ive instructed pistol courses in a previous life, and I heartily endorse Bill and Firearms Training Ft Worth.
