This was our second trip on the Murder Mystery Dinner train & as with our first trip, the food was excellent! They also had really great drink specials to go wity the storyline. My best friend & I preferred the first trip/mystery, but both were really fun in different ways! The whole ride/dinner/show is a really great experience & we both highly recommend trying it, or even going back again for a different mystery! Both of our train rides coincided with the sunset over the water, which was beautiful! My best friend & I try to make it down to the Fort Myers area every couple of years & this is a trip we will definitely try to incorporate into each visit!
My family and I enjoyed our experience aboard the Murder Mystery Dinner Train. Upon entering the train, it felt like we took a step back in time. The food was good, the servers were friendly, the train was very clean, and the show was entertaining. My family and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out who was guilty. Overall, we had a great time and would like to try it again.
My family and I enjoyed our experience in here! The wine and food is perfect!
Wonderful dining experience with a show here in Fort Myers. Truly enjoyable show where you are literally right next to the cast as the show is happening. I enjoyed a very tender Prime Rib entree with excellent mashed potatoes and Sangria. The cast is great, the stories change, and the Christmas show is usually sold out. Well worth the time and expense.
Have NEVER had a bad meal on the Dinner Train. And, I have tried every type of food that was being served. Have NEVER gotten off the train hungry. Been riding the Dinner Train from the very first one. And have ridden it many, many times since then. Being a railroad enthusiast, I may be just a tad bias. But I also appreciate good food. And the Dinner Train certainly has that, good food.Sincerely,Bruce F. Raykiewicz
FOOD WAS GOOD BUT THE PLACE IS TOO HOT.
We had a great time time on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train. We had a party of 12 and, while we were sat at 3 separate tables, we were all together in the same car. The food was very good and drink prices were very reasonable. The food service and progression of the show were nicely timed and made the 3 and a half hour train ride feel much faster. The story was well written and performed. I would recommend this for a fun night out for the family and I would definitely return for one of the other stories or events like the Halloween or Christmas story lines.
The total experience was very positive. Food was good. Acting was good. Space was a bit cramped for anyone a bit larger than normal. Restroom was a bit small but still good. Go hungry! There is alot of food served throughout the evening! Well worth the time and money!
The show, the service, and the food was surprisingly good. The coordination between the servers and performers was great - almost seamless. No food was served during the skits. And the train moved slowly so the servers and actors were not wobbly.Plenty of food. First cheese, crackers, and fruit. Then soup. Followed by an entree. Ending with a warm dessert. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served promptly in between scenes of the mystery skits. The actors were really good. Their voices projected even over rude people talking. They stayed in character even as they moved between cars.I didnt know the people at our table but it was fun discussing who dunnit.Humor, good service, good theater, mystery, good food, good company - a fun evening for groups or couples.
Couples beware. If you are a party of 2 you will most likely be seated on a table with 2 other strangers with which you will share an appetizer. This is not made clear during the purchase. Me and my husband found out about this upon arrival and were unpleasantly surprised and so were the other 2 people we were seated with. We wanted to either sit alone or cancel our booking. The staff in Sanibel wagon was not concerned about our issue and told us to either: “sit with the other people or leave and not get a refund”, even after we explained it’s my husband’s 30th birthday AND our wedding anniversary. Luckily Wende overheard and made arrangements for us to sit by ourselves in another wagon. So thanks to her for that.As far as the experience: nice atmosphere and decent show, but the food is a disappointment. Soup is ok, the salad is absolutely horrific. The prime rib was a red microwaved stiff piece of meat. Salmon was somewhat decent, but very bland. Our waitress Jaime did a great job though. She is a hard worker and has good control of the wagon.Overall not what we expected and the experience was just not worth the $200.
We went last night, Friday, we had a wonderful experience right from the start. We picked up the tickets and the woman at the counter couldnt be more helpful. As we boarded the train we were greeted very nicely. We ordered our dinner and drinks Immediately. The entire evening was awesome. The drinks, soup, salad and entree were exceptional. Our waitress was friendly and extremely efficient. I would highly recommend the train ride....perfect for a special occasion too. I almost forgot, the show (mystery) was entertaining with laughs and definetly kept our attention. We really tried to solve the mystery.
We have done this the last 3 years. It is expensive, but worth it. If you order a couple bottles of wine you will spend $250 total. Food is terrific, service excellent, and the acting first rate. Intimate setting. Plays are funny and clever. Next year will be the 4th year in a row.
This was our first time doing this. We had a good time and the show was very good. I had the salmon and that was cooked perfect for me. My wife said her prime rib was a bit tough. The train was on time and everything went according to plan. I would recommend going with another couple because we were sat with a boring couple and I spent the night entertaining them. LOL. Good fun and we will probably do it again
So much fun! And the food was delicious! I was so full but couldnt stop eating the cheesecake dessert. Excellent service and fun show! Go! You will love it!
Great experience to sit aboard a moving train and witness a murder mystery unfold while have freshly cooked dinner. All laboriously timed to serve meals and perform scenes without any disruption to the evening. The wait staff and performers have developed great balance to work on a rockin and rollin train without bumping into anyone or dropping anything. Worth it!
This was something I really wanted to experience.. the execution was not so exciting.... Bucket list train ride. The food was nice servings and tasty.. the appetizer on the table was a nice touch of fruit and cheese and crakers..! The show it was fair the 5/6 characters have to do the same act on all 4 carts which sometimes your waiting for the next act you get a little restless waiting for the next acting scene... Make sure you go when daylight savings time so you can see everything on the ride I think its my opinion it make the ride more memorable..
This was an amazing experience that I and my family wish we had done sooner. The food was delicious and excellently prepared, the service was impeccable with a very friendly and accommodating staff, and the murder mystery story and acting were very stimulating. The actors were funny and friendly as they interacted with the dinner guests. The train car and restroom were spotless. The views from the train were mediocre, but everything you need are inside the train. I highly recommend this experience. (not for young children)
The train was great, the wait staff and the food were both amazing especially considering they had cars of people to take care of, and the actors for the murder mystery were boisterous and entertaining. Definitely did their characters justice. Id definitely recommend taking the train and Ill probably go back and ride again soon.
It was our first time and I highly recommend it. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and saw to our every need. The meal was delicious right from the start. From the cheese, friut plate to the soup and salad and especially the main meal. My husband can be a fussy eater but he loved it all especially the prime rib cooked to perfection. Even the couple sitting across from us agreed that everything was great. Love the ambiance and the mystery play. The cast members were wonderful and they did keep as guessing as to who done it.Hope to do this again. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable evening.
I went on a bus trip to the area for the weekend and the train was part of our package. I absolutely loved the experience! The food options were very good and the food, all 5 courses, was awesome. The service was AMAZING! Our water glasses were never empty and for them to serve bowls of hot soup on a moving train was impressive. The entertainment was fun and interactive. I highly recommend this experience!!!
Been on it 4 times, always a good time. Sometimes the food is amazing, sometimes its just ok.The actors are great, but I wish they had mics and speakers in the train carts so the actors didnt have to shout so loud. The train and tracks themselves could use some updating, but I assume things wont be done any time soon because theres no competition out there..
Different, fun, interactive, delicious experience. Wish it had a more serious tone but it was a comedy. Had the prime rib, chicken cordon bleu and salmon. Chicken was a bit dry, salmon a bit fishy but the rib was mouthwateringly amazing. Potato leek soup was yum! Key lime pie was good but strange with hot fudge on top. Portion sizes are huge we were so full. Three drink limit. Mixed drinks were tasty and cute.
This was a Xmas present to me and it was absolutely perfect. The food was great and the actors did a fantastic job! Great time and a fun way to spend an evening.
This was todays menu. Always changes. But this is a good guide. Cheers
I was expecting a sort of lame tourist attraction but decided to do it because as a new resident of Cape Coral, I dont want to miss anything. The dress code listed was a bit confusing. I dressed accordingly to their website rules, but they obviously dont enforce them. It was kind of weird to be a bit dressed up and other people wearing ripped jeans and flip flops. Thats normal here, its freaking hot! I would have dressed down and cooler too. Lesson for next time. There will definitely be a *next time.*The service was awesome, the actors kept us engaged and were hilarious! The food was top notch, deliciously surprising!Thank you for a wonderful evening!
I reserved the Train ride and a hotel stay as that was a package they offered. They called the next day and said there wasnt a hotel room available so they refunded that portion of my bill. I got another hotel room on my own as this was to be a two day excursion with the train being the highlight. It was a Christmas gift to my date. We showed up the day of the train ride with a confirmation sheet in hand and were told that somehow we werent on this ride. The best they could do was to seat my date and I at separate tables that were close enough for us to turn and talk to each other. I asked if I was going to be charged full price for this and the girl said she didnt have the authority to give a discount. We declined and asked for a refund. I got the refund the next day and the same girl called and apologized but I still spent money on a 2 day stay at a hotel without being able to ride the train next to my date at the same table. The company offered no solution or discount on a future trip if not a free future trip. I believe this is a bad business practice and I am very disappointed.
Always an adventure! Cant get enough of these entertainers! Train ride a show and a 5 course meal. Look at that prime rib absolutely delicious!
If you havent been you need to go. You will be laughing and relaxing. Food was great and service was on point.
I took my mom and we have a blessed everything was perfect Im going back to enjoy a different show
What a great day....we went for Thanksgiving dinner. The ride was relaxing the food was good and the service was friendly. Cant wait to do it again. Next time I want to do the murder mystery
For all of you that wonder what the dessert looks like here you go. You are welcome!
My wife and I had a great experience on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train! The show that was performed in front of us was fun, funny, interacting and entertaining! The food and drinks were really good, and the train was relaxing and nice to ride in! The train has new shows performing every 10 weeks, so theres always something different and new going on. We had a really fun time, and look forward to the next performance at another time!
The experience was ok but I honestly think it’s more for an older crowd I found myself bored and ready to go. I did not like the fact that the experience costed 90.47 it included dinner but not non-alcoholic drinks (I knew this before I just thought I would like the food better and I wouldn’t care). The food was equivalent to cruise food, the prime rib is what I had don’t expect a steak house level grade of meat but it was decent. I did enjoy the soup but you have to season it with salt and pepper. The dessert was a cheesecake and it was cut to the size of a daycare portion for toddlers but it was tasty . I also had a fruit cup instead of salad which had a pink sauce on it with shaved coconut, I did not like that at all. Thankfully I didn’t get the salad though like my 6 other guests because the greens were brown. Which means they probably was sitting out for a while. The part that irritated me the most was our waiter, his hands and nails was dirty like he worked at a mechanic shop in the day and he constantly touches your food . A few other tables noticed and we were all in horror!! My party and I drove all the way from Miami for this experience and I’m going to have to say it was not worth it for our age group 25-39. The acting was the best thing about the experience the presentation was funny . If I lived close I would probably do this again with my parents they probably would like it but I would just have to take them to eat first.
Acting great. Food delicious. Funny and lots of fun. 3 1/2 hrTrain ride, loved it all!
Very entertaining and the food was good as well, homemade soup was excellent! Very impressed with the food service staff, too.
We had a great time. I would recommend seating towards the middle of the car. The actors do a great job of projecting their voices, but from our seats at the end of the car it was hard to hear some lines.
Great performance. The costumes were wonderful. The food was outstanding . The employees were friendly and professional. I had a fantastic time.
This was so awesome. Had a prime rob the size of my head and a dinner theater to bring together a family night.
My wife and I had a fabulous time on the Murder Mystery Train. The food was excellent, and there was very little if anything at all to complain about. The train does rock pretty steadily, and if youre not careful you may go to sleep. But the consistent action and theater really keeps you interested and awake.
Drinks were week stick to the wine . Had a great time very entertaining.
Theres nothing wrong that I can say about the Murder Mystery Dinner Train! If youre thinking about going, dont think just go! You will not be disappointed! The show is great, the food is AMAZING(5 couse meal), the actors are awesome and the person that solves the mystery wins a prize! Its something different to do and super cool because while the train rides through Fort Myers, the bystanders wave to you while they wait for the train to pass! I went with my boss and coworkers we had a BLAST! They also give a discount for groups of 24 or more.
Train to boat was the best! We went with a large church group and we all were so very pleased. This is the way a railroad should be run. Food served is delicious. If you like prime rib, you are in for a real treat. My wife did the chicken entree and was very pleased. From the owner (yep, brought tickets for the boat out himself!), engineer, trainmen, bus drivers.. Super! A very special shout out to the staff in the Sanibel car and our waitress at table 1. Just wow.... Planning on some other mystery trips now.Train fan report. F7 and Geep. Just do this. Support the people who keep this very special equipment operating.....
Great night out. Food and drinks were delicious. Train ride was neat. Actors were great too. Will definitely go back.
Food and the acting was great. However no airflow on the train. Extremely hot. Trash all over the train, between windows.not sure if the food was worth 80 per person but it was good.
It was a great time. food was great and the actors were hilarious. All around pleasant ride and I would for sure do it again any other time of year, as we did the christmas dinner train this year.
Lots of good:The people were niceThe food was properly cooked and seasoned (I say this as a chef)The not so goodOur server had horrific BO and we weren’t theonly ones that reacted to it-she said she had worked there for well over 10 years, can’t believe no one else noticed in all that time. It was quite bad and not pleasant whilst diningThe actors frequently messed up their lines throughout the playAlthough when the a/c was on it felt nice, it kept shutting off and then it was miserably hot-just set it to run constantly as it made for a very uncomfortable meal especially for how long we were on the trainOur first drink took over 1/2 am hour to receive and although I heard the reason I think you can create a better system -no diner should wait that long for a drinkGood-having the cheese on the table for blood sugar low hungry folk.Overall a good and interesting experience I think they could knock it out of the park if they can adjust a few things-
Such a fun ride! This is a park and ride Murder Mystery Dinner Train that is handicap accessible and so fun! When you buy the ticket, it comes with a five course meal and a show! The actors were extremely funny and put on a great show as the train took us through beautiful scenery all the way from Ft. Myers to Punta Gorda! It is family friendly, but they also serve alcohol as well. Very fun if you want a train ride and a show!
The staff and actors were awesome. There was so much time between acts. We sat with a couple that live in fort Myers and said it was one of their favorite things to do. They agreed that if 12/24/19 was their 1st experience they would have never been back. Something was off with the production and food service. Maybe it was Christmas eve and short staffed? Food was ok not great.
A bit chaotic, hard to assemble the clues, very fast paced, not for the hard of hearing. The view over the river was excellent timed about sunset, the food was Excellent! It was definatly interesting and worth another try.
Truly fun evening. Food and service A+. KUDOS. An evening of slapstick fun.
The food alone is worth the price, the fun atmosphere and show are the cherries on the cake, we will be going back every trip as they change up the shows
Great show, nice train ride with good company, but I expected the food to be better (though I realize its only so much cooking can be done on a train). I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and it was o.k. Yet, We had a great time, never the less, and met a great couple.
We attended the White Christmas Killer play on Saturday, December 14th. The food was amazing, our waitresses were fantastic/on top of everything, mixed alcoholic drinks were awesome (Lil’ Red Caboose was sooo good) and the train was clean and very nicely decorated for Christmas. Only small complaint is I wish the play was a bit longer :( the scenes seemed a little short. However, the Actors/actresses did a great job at speaking loud enough for all to hear. The 3.5 hour train ride was very nice, very relaxing but also fun. Definitely recommend, we will be back next Christmas :)
We had a great time on the Murder Mystery Train!Dinner and service were fantastic. It was a great evening with the whole family.
Fun time. Well organized. 4th time Ive gone in last 20 yrs. They figured out how to do it well
Good food, service and great acting...plus a train ride.
We had fun and the actors were excellent. I chose the right murderer but didnt put done the right clues. Nice ride.
The food was very good, the service was excellent. We had a young lady named Jamie and she was awesome. The show was great all the actors were really good, even though we didnt pick the right murderer we did pick the right reason. I would definitely go again
Rectal cavity. You’ll thank me later.
The Train ride was awesome! The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend!
Great time. Good food and awesome show. I would definitely recommend it.
Friendly and helpful reservationists, very good food, exuberant actors, and interesting passengers. A fun time was had by all.The fine couple seated at our table were celebrating their wedding anniversary.
Great time and food was not bad
Food was just great, atmosphere could have been nicer along the train was allot of trash. When leaving the waitress did not put our wine into a bag as I got up to ask the waitress for a bag before me and my family left the owner snatched it out of my hand told me I was not allowed to take a step forward as I was trying to explain I’m asking for a bag from our waitress before we exit the owner then raised her voice and yelled and was extremely unprofessional, and rude while I remained nice and calm. I have never experienced such a low quality of service and disrespect from someone in a situation that was completely uncalled for. I flew all the way from texas to enjoy my first train ride on thanksgiving day and you can say this made the worst experience for me and I will absolutely never be back.
We really enjoyed our evening. Food was really good, my filet was huge and prepared just how I asked for it, staff was pleasant and actors were great!
The play was fun and great conversation started. Food was top notch!
My daughter has had an interest in mysteries since she was young child. She has an interest now in forensics. As a birthday gift for her 17th I felt this would be unique. It definitely was! The food was great and the murder mystery was well done!
Soooo much fun. The food was delicious, reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the murder mystery dinner train
This was a really enjoyable evening. Great 5 course meal and wonderful, friendly service. The show and cast were fantastic. You actually go for a train ride while the eating and the show goes on. Highly recommend. Definitely going back.
We went on the dinner train and did not have a good experience and won’t be back. I cannot recommend this train to anyone1. The train is hot. There’s very little airflow2. The train rocks a lot. We even had a drink spill.2. The waitress don’t smell great. (Ours has a horrible odor sorry)3. The food was good until dinner came. My chicken was very dry
Overall a pretty fun experience. Friendly staff, decent food (especially for being prepared on the train). Good value for the money.
Prime ribDelcious.Service good as expectedThe play was fantastic.Corny but fun.We went on a Wednesday eveningAll was well. Definitely worth our drive time.3 of us from lauderdale
This was fun the first two hours. Now we are just stuck on a slow-moving train and still have not been served dinner. The train left late but at around 6:15. It is now 8:15 and all we can do is just wait. On top of that there is a three drink maximum....which would be totally understandable if we were almost back but we aren’t even close. I was so excited and the whole thing now sucks. The actors are enjoyable but for the cost of the overall experience, seriously just skip it. It’s four? Five? Hours of sitting on a slow (right now we aren’t moving at all) train for mediocre food and entertainment and I can’t get out. It was $90 a ticket and all I can say is my butt hurts from sitting so long.
Fun, great entertainment and an excellent meal. Loved it and will go again!
I really enjoyed myself. The food was great, scenery and train ride was well worth it! We were a party of two so we got the opportunity to sit with another couple who was very very entertaining, to say the least!
A lot of fun! Good food! Give it a try.
Great experience. The food was fantastic. The show kept the evening hopping.
The mystery and players were adorable. The prime rib dinner was AMAZING!
Loved our adventure on the train. The entertainment was good and the food was great. Portions were huge. We will certainly be going again.
Who dun it! Good food, service and staff. Trains are always a great time, and add a meal and entertainment and choo choo, youre in!
Really fun time and great date or celebration. The train itself and decor could use a little updating but performance is very fun, food aplenty and the time works our just about perfectly.
Fun and great servers. Only negative was my husbands steak quality. Would still recommend.
A fun show, good food but a little to much time between acts and food.
Was a great time the wait staff was on the ball. food was freaking awesome. The actors were awesome will do it again..
This was the first time we have been on it and what a surprise. Becca took me for my birthday and it was an amazing experience. The show was great, the food incredible and the overall trip was something we will definitely do again!
Oh my goodness the ride was amazing, awesome and the food was great and so were the drinks n the Mystery white Christmas Killer was so so fun, amazing, and they all played there parts so good .if you have not been on the Murder Mystery Train then you really should try it out have the best time and this was Larrys Christmas party it was great.
LOVED LOVED LOVED!!!!! Great staff, AMAZING food, and entertaining! I got the prime rib and it was large with very little fat. The chicken is small so if youre very hungry dont order that. Overall loved the ride and the experience, reccomended for younger kids all the way to your retirement years!
A great experience, so much fun. The food was excellent.
Riding the old train was a lot of fun. Great prime rib, thick cut, cooked to order. Entertainment was a lot of fun: they talk loud so everyone can hear. I will request to sit toward the ends of the car next time. Dinner service was very good. Scenery was pretty most of the way: some older industrial parts of town to begin with. A little pricey, but for special occassion, like Fathers Day, it is worth saving up for. We will do it again.
I love this train. Food is spectacular and the wait staff is second to none. The actors are good at their craft and keep you guessing. They always have a new mystery so its never the same. I have been on it a few times and they are consistently achieving perfection. My wife got the prime rib and I had the chicken cordon blue. They were both equally good. The prime rib is a MASSIVE piece. The only thing is that you get sat in tables of 4 so if you only go as 2, be prepared to sit with people you do not know. They have to do this because youre obviously on a train and space is limited. Its also not a bad thing because you can meet new people. Only advice I would give is to book early because it books up quickly.
Went as my daughter graduation present with 3 of her friends and they had blast. I did enjoy the ride also. Clean environment, very good food, drinks prices are really reasonable and the stuff is really nice. Girls spilled something and they, in the middle of they busy time, were able to change the table clothes( wow). Not to mention the show it self was fun. People on the train were laughing so it is humorous as well. Recomend!!!
