Something to do for everyone, playground for the littles, beach volleyball, tennis, walking/biking/jogging circuit and more... Lots of free parking, beautifully maintained grounds, public restrooms... No swmimg or fishing, ponds are for the gators!

Great place to play and visit. Plenty of space for the kids to runaround, beach volleyball, space for frisbee and football plus a dog park. WARNING: there are gators in the pond so watch the kids and pets, stay on the walking path.

Kids are always happy here. Field to run around, playground, places to sit, volleyball. Overall a good time.

From participating in card games to court games you can build relationships and have fun for no additional cost.Weight room costs extra but it is minimal compared to a name brand Gym. (There is rarely anyone using the weight room so its like your own private gym)

Our dogs always have a great time here. For the most part almost everyone is friendly and I have never seen any problem from any dog.Lots of chairs and benches. Shade can be at a premium, but i havent had any problems yet.Lots of water bowls/buckets available.There is one woman that comes with a husky and she constantly complains about everything. From what I can see her dog is a bit aggressive. Avoid her and your visit should be wonderful.

Noticed a visible lack of trees. Somewhat pet friendly. Be advised that since the covered outdoor basketball court is shared by a school at the same location, it’s not available till 5pm on a school day. Prepare to be frustrated to find access to the outdoor court blocked on weekends as the gate is often locked even during posted park hours. Sometimes lights don’t come on. Locked bathrooms are a huge issue that park staff must address.

No trees? No nature? Honestly, in this age, I don’t know how “urban planners” get away with cutting down more and more nature. Where is the shade? Where are the nature walks? Why is there so much lawn?And how much insecticide goes on that lawn where our children play?

My pup loves the dog park, good people with good dogs. Theres a hose at the entrance, where I can cool down my dog. Plenty of buckets for water which people take turns filling. There are always some that dont pick up after their dogs, otherwise it would be a five.

Best recreational dog park around. If you have a vicious dog dont even dare bring him there because all the other dogs will gang up on them. Beautiful place excellent for family has all kinds of sports I mean you cant get a better Park than this. You and your companion dog will have a beautiful time because its shade and his water but like I said if your dog likes to attack other dogs dont bring them there because he starts attacking other dogs people might become pretty answers to get rid of your dog out of there. Enjoy yourself at the dog park with the little pup or make pop LOL LOL

This place is fun for the family, kids here can climb up and Down rope ladders, and dogs can have fun also with there own area fenced around so you can sit down in the shade while your dog plays

Its a very nice park for the family. It also has two pokestops and a gym for those that like Pokemon go.

So beautiful and so many things to do. Great place for family or friends. Had to pick up my parking pass for the beach. Even a great value for snowbirds. If you love the beaches and send a lot of time at the beach. I would highly recommend getting a beach parking sticker. Enjoy 2018

This is a great place that offers much to play. Tennis, soccer, kickball, volleyball indoor and out, basketball, dog park, play ground, fitness center, actual pickleball courts and a beautiful lake with a walking path.

I just had a wonderful time and met new dog friends. But I got all dirty and now I need a bath! Dang!

The people who work there are awesome! They are helpful, polite, knowledgable caretakers of a marvelous rec center.

We used to love going to wake hatchee until they passed an ordinance allowing dogs on the Green space.We liked to let the kids run and play on the Green space, but now dogs are using it to pee and poop. The dog owners are supposed to pick it up, or not allow it to happen, but l have already seen it happen and the owner just walk away. Besides, I dont want my kids rolling in grass that has dog waste. I also have seen dogs off the leash there, which is not a good idea when you have children running around, some dogs may mistake that for aggressive behavior. I just hope Lee county doesnt come to regret this ordinance, either through dog bite or worse.

Very nice park. Definitely one of the cleanest parks Ive been to in Lee County. There is a nice size dog park there with two separate sides, one for big dogs and one for little. All the dogs got along great, and my Bella loved the dog drinking fountain! Great place for kids too I suppose ;)

Great park. The key feature here is that its dog friendly. This tends to lead to the idea that it may be a little on the dirty side but it isnt. Its impeccably clean. My family goes to Lake Regional usually. We eat at the gazebo and take our kiddo on the play set but sometimes we have family over and they have a dog (sweet guy!) and so we head here instead. Love it.

The dog park is he reason we go and we love it. Two separate areas, each accommodating different sizes. I like the fact that you have to register your pet and they need to have all necessary vaccinations. Both my pups love it there too!

My kids and I LOVE this park! Its really for kids who are about 2 years old and up. Lots of climbing things and a lot of space to run and play soccer or football. There is not a separate play area for small children. It can get a little crowded. All the playground equipment has fake grass beneath it which helps to cushion any falls. No mulch. Theres a lovely pond with a nice walking path. There are some gator sightings, so be careful! Wear lots of sunscreen theres next to NO shade. the bathrooms are nice and usually clean. We dont have a dog, but theres a dog park too. Theres also access to basketball courts and tennis courts, but we dont use those yet.

Visited the dog park with our two small dogs. Enough bags, water dishes and shaded seating. Usually come on the weekend. Best park weve found nearby.

The dog park here is wonderful. Id say the only downside to it, would be the ground. Barely any grass and a lot of multch, be prepared to give your dog a bath each time you visit if there is any buckets of water or puddles.

Pretty nice, it was a fun place to play our tournament for Southwest Sunset Volleyball League, great location with a dog park and nice people who are really helpful. The lady who ran the table was so nice and helpful, makes the day a lot better

This park has two big fenced dog parks one for big dogs one for little dogs great place to throw a frisbee. Also free parking.. there is also a recreation center here with lots of indoor activities many seniors seem to like it

My family enjoys this park. It tends to be windy at times and may be a good place for kite flying. There is an open field that my son loves to run around in & plenty of side walk space in front of the park for bike riding, scooters and chalk play etc. The structure and swings are very nice. It is not a great structure so much for much younger though as the majority involves rope climbing. Fake grass is used here. There is a shaded pavilion with picnic tables and there are benches surrounding the park. The bathroom and drinking fountains are right under the shaded pavillion beside the park. The bathrooms are very clean. Plenty of waste bins and the park is kept very clean overall and safe. Nice park for parents to sit and relax, watching kid play safely. Far distance from the parking lot and open view of structure/field space. We also like to walk around the nice pond with fountains that they have here, it is a short and enjoyable walk. We see gators, turtles and lots of various birds. There are 2 pavilions next to the pond with grills that seem to have a lot of birthday parties held there. There are two sanded volley ball nets. There is a dog park, but dogs are not allowed anywhere else but the fenced in park for them. I believe there are tennis and basketball hoops but never went over. The rec center and middle school are right here. There is always plenty of parking. The scenery is just very nice. It is one of my 4 year olds favorite parks locally. The one suggestion I have is to add shade to the structure/swings as all FL parks should have in my opinion. The shade is lacking here and it can be intense with FL heat.

We were so happy to discover Wa-ke Hatchee Park. Our dog loved it! There was shade under the chairs and a water fountain. The dog park is tucked away in the back. There is plenty of parking. Had a very enjoyable time.

Pickleball Clinic was fun!

Although not grand in size, it has whats needed for my kids to play and have fun. They do a great job at keeping the park clean; have not been to another park since I found Wa-Ke Hatchee!
