Very good course. Played there numerous times and not disappointed, until now. Within recent weeks they installed a plastic screen in the carts, separating the driver and passenger. Players are required to keep this in place. While I understand COVID safety concerns, this approach is ineffective and impractical. It blocks the wind, disrupts conversation and blocks the drivers view, which creates another safety concern. Considering that many players travel to the course in the same vehicle, separating them with a barrier is somewhat puzzling. So, this is what you can expect. Chose you course accordingly.

Enjoyable course to play. You can actually spray the ball around on this course, and it will still be in play...as opposed to the majority other Florida courses.

Great course, weve played it three weekends in a row. Fantastic shape, staff is wonderful. My score keeps getting better so we keep coming back.

Will harp on their amazing twilight deal and the second you swipe your card they will they say you have to bring in the carts at 7 PM well before the sun goes down. What’s the point of a twilight rate if you have to call it quits on the 14th hole when there’s another hour of sun and you payed? Ridiculous.

I really enjoy playing here. The staff is friendly and they keep their course looking very nice.

Friendly staff and course in nice condition. Had a bad first experience. The cart course map monitor did not work and the cart died and we were stranded on 16th fairway. No one in the office to answer the phone. Thankfully another golfer went for help. Hopefully the next time will be better.

Very playable course, good tees and greens for summer. Play moves right along, good value for the money.

Rangers drive around trying to avoid doing their job. 5 hours playing a course with no water is ridiculous. Group in front of us parked their cart in front of the greens every hole and yes even par threes. I lost 5 hours of my life I’ll never get back. Never again.

I like San Carlos Golf Course. The course is usually in pretty good shape and inexpensive.

I would never play here, or attempt to play here again. I had a tee time for around 1p on a Friday afternoon back in Feb. I arrived, paid, and took my cart into the parking lot with teenage employees running after me and screaming not to take the carts into the lot. No signs show this anywhere unless you are headed onto the course, why put the sign there? Secondly, I gave my receipt to an older man employee who was arguing with me that I only paid for 9 holes, no, I paid for 18. That was enough, I went to get my refund, and got out of there. The refund also takes a good 2 weeks to come back into your checking account. The staff here is awful, and competes with Westminster Golf Club.

San Carlos Park Golf Course is run by a friendly staff is very professional. course is in pretty good condition and is a fair course wide-open Fairways.

Reasonably good condition with wide open fairways,slow greens. Friendly staff, and well priced food and drinks.

Do not agree with rain check policy.Our Tee off time was at 2 pm no rain check if we would have tee off at 1:54 we would get a rain check. We played only 5 holes. Will not play again.

Excellent course, greens were outstanding the day we played. Maybe on the slow side but great condition. Starter was friendly and helpful as was the rest of the staff. Excellent pace of play on Saturday morning.

Sent my Man golfing and he was highly impressed with the course overall! I was surprised how expressive he was about how great the greens were! He said the course conditions surprised him! Great experience. GPS in the cart was major bonus!

Nice course,but constantly being warned by gps we were 7-8 minutes behind schedule.No one was ever waiting on tee box for us.We were rushed to the tee box before our scheduled 8:52 tee time . At one point our gps said we were 1 minute behind schedule,then 5 minutes later were were 8 minutes behind,Figure that out.The ranger came out on the 15th hole and he told us we were 20 minutes behind.I told him the gps said 8 minutes and he ignored me and drove away.Somehow,after being totally aggravated by him we finished,had our clubs cleaned,and walking to our cars,I checked my phone and it was just 1:00 on the nose.I always thought it was 15 minutes a hole?Hence 4 1/2 hours for 18.The people who run this course clearly think its more than it is,for 75 dollars I dont feel like waisting my time constantly shutting off the warning on the gps.Theyll never get my biz again especially with the amount of courses to choose from in the area.

Excellent course. Fairways are in great shape, greens are incredible and the staff is as friendly as can be. This is truly the best kept secret in Fort Myers. The price is also very attractive to play in Southwest Florida. I would 100% recommend. I play all over Florida and this was by far the most fun I have had in a long time. Very forgiving for us bogey players. Course has a little bit for every style of play. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks for a great day.Ron Trungley

Great place for the first round of a trip. The course is reasonably priced, has practice facilities, lacks numerous water holes like other courses in the area, and is not too tough. Friendly staff and good conditions.

Very nice golf course. First time playing here and would like to play again. The course is very wide open. The grounds crew does a great job of maintaining the course and the greens were in very good shape. Staff there was friendly as well.

We came down from Colorado to play golf in area. The course was laid out just fine and in fairly good shape. The problem was with setting a tee time they wont go more then three days out? OK what ever. Unfortunately we did not bring clubs with us and had to rent some. What we rented was a cheap set that you might find in a low run down Walmart and the putter grip was completely worn out and felt like wet sponge. Come on guys step up your game, your in golf country.

Unkept, dirty carts, very rude, disrespectful staff, looks dried out. Course is mostly a mess. Pulling into the parking lot, you can see the standards of the place. I agree with Ed. Not a good value.

Apparently they allow 5 some for members and dont tell you upon check in. We played behind 5 some. They were behind pace all day and took minimum 5 minutes or longer for every shot.....was less than enjoyable. When three groups are waiting to tee off on the hole then 5 some should not be allowed . Made for horrible day. We had to play fast because we didnt want to hold up group behind us . Not sure why we cared about pace of play when course didnt. Waste of money trying to run around course. Wont go back but they dont care. Thought price was high for course but overall was extremely unhappy with playing a round there .

Played this course for the first time today and it was a good experience. I thought the best thing about the course were the greens(there were very nice to putt on). Course was pretty wide open and was in good condition. Would have liked to have seen a little more variety in holes(course layout). There were a couple of interesting holes, but would like to have seen more. Price was reasonable. Every hole and green was very visible(no elevated or hidden greens).

Ive played San Carlos in the spring and it was not great. Played this week and what a positive difference. Its a beautiful course. Hope they keep it that way.

San Carlos golf is a jewel in the rough. Great price in the season, super people, you will enjoy yourself.

In Great Shape, prices were up, due to new GPS, but I dont use.

Dirt cheap afternoon rates of 18 bucks for a golfer, with a beer and a hot dog included. Decent open course with some sand, trees, and gravel as your only major obstacles.Course was well kept and in good shape. Driving range is a water driving range.Absolutely will play again. Great time.

Great course!

A good course with a variety of holes that present some challenges. The rough is kept low cut, the condition of the greens varies from poor to good, and the fairways are a bit dry during the winter but playable. During the winter in the Fort Myers area, this is one of the most affordable courses.

I played this course with a friend in a group last Tuesday. At 80 years of age, I cannot drive long and so I played from the gold Tees. On the whole, I enjoyed it; It is a simple flat course with average fairways with few sand traps. The greens are in good shape and reasonably easy to read, although on a long put one has to careful. All in all and for the price, it is great bargain and I would play there again!

We live along the golf course for years and we have dogs so sometimes our dogs go to the trees along the golf course and pee and poop we pick it up EVERY TIME along with picking up other dogs poop that we find along the way cuz MANY people walk there dogs here. So now the manager in maintenance comes and yells to clean up our dogs poop without waiting and watching what we do and saying next time hes calling the police. This being said, I have had windows broken car windows smashed dents in the side of my house from where the golf balls land and have put up with it for years as well. They never said anything about the dogs so I never made an issue about the golfers. So this time I called and got transferred to the maintenance manager who not only interupted me while I was speaking and didnt let me finish raised his voice to me and eventually hung up on me. Terrible way to deal with the solution. Also as I typed this someone else just had there dog out on the side of the course. He could have handled it in a better way. That was no way to handle the situation. Yes I get that trespassing is trespassing but it goes both ways so you can understand where they get frustrated and we get frustrated never said we werent wrong just saying he could have handled it better.

Dont know the deal with all the rave reviews. This course is on its last legs, as is the neighborhood. I would not recommend any women playing this course alone. Cars jacked up in driveways. Half dozen cars in every driveway. The course itself is run down and not well maintained. Disrespectful kids were using the golf course for a play ground. Had to ask them to give us a break as we teed off. Fat chance. Way overpriced for the location and condition of the course. Website does not honestly depict the course conditions (but thats true for many courses). We had a terrible time and will never be back! Close it down and let the kids have their play ground.
