We were very excited to come down a see Lola, but unfortunately we didnt know Lola does private showing so we miss her. On a good note we did get to see Sid and got a great picture of him! We also say a baby porcupine being bottle feed (so cute) overall a short and fun experience, staff was very friendly and informative!

My daughter spent a few days in July and loved this camp. She enjoyed herself so much she wants to do a few more days over Thanksgiving break. The staff was very nice and helpful, if you are in the Ft Lauderdale area and want something fun for the kids to do check out this camp!

Our kids love Funky Fish, regardless of location, referring to it as their favorite camp ever. The staff is very attentive to the children and provide a fun and safe atmosphere. Leadership works with parents to ensure their kids are in a group with their friends. They are on top of the various school schedules and send alerts based on days off.

My two kids aged 8 and 10 joined on Monday, December 23rd and even though it was raining for the first part of the day and were not able to go into the ocean due to the high winds the Instructors were very resourceful and entertained them making ornaments and they learnt so much with the Interactive Oceanology Board Game.Funky fish gave us a much needed moment to prepare for the Holidays.Thank you Funky Fish Team.

This year was my sons 3rd year attending Funky Fish Summer Camp. Hes been going since he was 4yo & he LOVES IT! It is his favorite summer camp by far. I cannot say enough nice things about the Funky Fish instructors. They are young & fun, very attentive & they will teach your child how to properly use a snorkel mask. My son could not swim & was afraid of the ocean when he first attended & now he is like a fish in water. As a parent, my favorite thing about Funky Fish is that out of all the summer camps my child has ever attended, Funky Fish is the ONLY camp where he has NEVER felt a shred of alienation or apprehension. He says every day at Funky Fish is a GREAT DAY! :-)

My two sons have been attending since last summer. Its absolutely the most adorable camp offered in Fort Lauderdale. They educate the kids about the environment, sea life, ocean sports, crafts and snorkeling. It has been such a gift to find a camp that really is totally fun. I never grew up on the beach let alone the ocean so to give this to my kids is a joy! The kids beg to go back the next day. They are always safe and the counselors are super happy and enthusiastic which is so important. I am super grateful for this camp and recommend it to anyone who truly wants their little ones to learn about what salt life really encompasses.

The staff are amazing! Our camp had such a wonderful time, we are booking two dates this summer.

My daughter is 4 and still learning to swim so I was very nervous to send her to a camp that involved a pool and the ocean. However, the staff made me feel very comfortable and even had her wear her swim vest at appropriate times to keep her safe. Finally, the true test was after I asked my daughter how her day was and she responded Can I do that again!?. Since we live locally I am sure this is a place we will be coming back to again and again.

#ExtremelyDissatisfied. I was very impressed with what the funky fish website said they’d offer their campers and our hotel staff highly recommended it. However, my three sons aged 11,8 and 7 had very underwhelming experience at this camp yesterday. They were hardly allowed in the pool or the ocean (weather was not perfect but we were on the beach almost all day). They barely got to experience snorkel gears ( it was supposed to be the highlight and we were encouraged to buy them) and they said they just got to dip their toes in the ocean for a minute! The campers mostly played games with each other (jenga), made a Christmas craft and sand castles and played a bit of soccer on the beach for a while. They could have done all of this with us without having to pay $225! Also their lunch (beef sliders) was gross and inedible. Extremely disappointed and feel duped! If you sign up please ask what they are offering your campers as the printed information is misleading.

Great camp! My son always has an amazing time at the beach everyday. So many activities to do and great instructors to teach him. He cant wait to come back for more fun in the sun!

AWESOME camp! My 3 grand kids, (8 & 4 year old twins) went for a week this past summer and LOVED it. As a Christmas gift I gave them a day at camp over Christmas vacation and it was just as wonderful. The staff is amazing.

My daughter who is 4 years old absolutely loved this day camp! She had the best time and it gave my husband and I a chance to relax on our vacation for 5 hours! The instructors were great with the kids! I could not be happier with the decision!!!!! She couldn’t wait to wear her Funky Ocean Camp shirt to pre k when she got home and tell her friends all about it! Thank you!!!!

My 5 year old loved her experience at camp for the day! Sounds like it combined fun water play, with ocean education and art. We will definately be going back!

Kids had a great time at the Pelican Grand location. Staff works very hard to provide a good time. They were not big fans of Bahia Mar location.

We took our daughter for the week camp in 2015 and she loved it. Turned into a fish. She was so much more confident snorkeling and in the water in general. Actually started doing 4 somersaults in a row under water and swimming so much more confidently. I joined her on the snorkel trip and we also had fun. I was impressed with how she would snorkel right off the boat too with me. And Ill mention, she was only 4 years old last year! We are taking her again this year for a week and hope she learns even more!

Cant say enough good things about this summer camp. Awesome!!If you are a parent considering this camp for your child, do it! We will be back next year. Rave reviews from us (parents) and rave reviews from my son (9).Your kid is safe and will have a great time.

Damien is almost 5 years old. He said it was an ok day, but from what he said, it seemed that the day was better for the older children. We may revisit the camp in a few years!

Funky fish is one of my kid’s favorite camps. They are always so happy when I pick them up and it’s great that they can do single days vs entire weeks like other camps.

Happy, salty, engaged and exhausted kids is what youll get upon picking up your children from Funky Fish!

One of the best experiences my daughter has ever had. I read one review about the instructors being bored, and all I can say is we sent our children to different camps. The instructors were engaging, educational one just finished her Masters in Marine biology. Tried several activities and different camp activities this summer and Funky Fish was by far and away the best. Joining my 8 year old on the open water snorkel trip was exceptional and the confidence she gained during the week was worth it all. Thank you to everyone for making this week such a special week in my daughters life. Thanks to everyone!!!!We will see you again!!!

My kids love it and we love the convenience of choosing certain days instead of an entire week. As far as the reviewer complaining about better science camps, there are also better camps for ballet. This is a fun camp. The kids learn about water/beach safety and a little about whatever they encounter that day, too.

I needed an activity for two boys at the last minute so I called Funky Fish. They were very helpful and booked us for the next day. The best part of all is that the kids loved it and were especially proud of chasing nurse sharks while snorkeling! They want to go again next week. Thank you Funky Fish.

Most Unprofessional Day/Week camp Ive ever experienced. If you want to take your kids to the beach, do it. Instead of spending 50+ dollars on this camp, your kids would get more out of the day if you spend 10 dollars and buy them a boogie board and cheap sandcastle material and then pay 5 dollars to park at the beach. The instructors all seemed bored to be there and when I commented to the owner, she simply kept saying I dont understand. and kept giving me the run around. I will NEVER take my kids back to this camp and do not suggest it to anyone either. Like I said before this camp is unorganized, unprofessional and unclean. They dont even wash the snorkels between two groups of kids using them. If you want education- this IS NOT the place to send your kid. There are PLENTY of good Science camps in the area- Live Oaks, Science Eye and IGFA(which is also pricey, but at least educational!) All I have to say is Dont waste your money on this camp.

We do our best to make sure that each child has the most educational and fun time while providing a safe environment. Each of our Instructors has a background in childhood education and/or marine biology. In fact, most of our Instructors are graduate marine science students at the nearby NSU Oceanographic Center. We can also assure you that we sanitize all masks and snorkels between each group of children and each camp. We make a point to keep our instructor-to-child ratio low so that each child is not only carefully looked after, but also provided with a unique personal connection with our Instructors. We hope that you will take the experiences of others into account and visit our camp again.

For my son a week at funky fish was the best week this summer so far :) He really enjoyed the camp especially a boat trip.
