Absolutely lovely park with tones of things to do and see. People all around enjoying the park and the outdoors. If you have an hour or half a day to kill, check it out. Well worth it if you are in the city.
A secret place and a brief glimpse into what Florida must have been prior to runaway development. This little slice of natural history is, sadly, surrounded by water that is quite polluted with plastic and trash, which has washed into the park. It’s too bad the community doesn’t come together to figure out how to keep their parks and waterways free from pollution. Multi-million dollar homes and yachts encircle this park yet this little oasis for nature and animals is impoverished and neglected.
I personally loved this preserve, parking available, small and with unique fauna and Flora and a walkway along the waterways. Anyone visiting ft Lauderdale in need of an interesting few hours, this is well worth it. There is seating available and a thatched area with a table area that could be used for a picnic. Highly recommend.
Cute little spot to sit and think about life, not many people around
Cute little park tucked behind a neighborhood along the water. It could use an occasional litter sweep, but its a nice place to see wildlife. Once when we went we had the place to ourselves, which was great. Alas, no pets allowed.
Right on the water in little private neighborhood. So very private and seldom used.
Caught a snook first cast on the boat ramp
Great place to Put a kayak or Stand up paddleboard in
Nice and quiet. My baby girl bella(put bull) loves it there. You could say she learned how to swim there. But Im wondering if people are living there. Couple weeks to a when I wish there I seen a girl and two guys collecting palm fronds. It looked like they were making a bed. Now I went there and it looks like a wall of limbs.
Top class marina here.
Great views of large boats on the nature walk with a cool little beach. This place is a hidden gem
Chill spot. However felt uncomfortable with small drug deals. Had a person ask me if I was there to get a sac. Then I saw the other person that was supposed to be the contact. They both went back to a car and did the business. Maybe some cops would calm this down.
Is a great stop off when out boating the south fork of the new river. Small beach area to pull up and a natural area to walk around. No amenities to speak of. Used to be a great rope swing but got taken down and put back only to have the entire tree removed.
For a nice place to take a walk and do a little fishing but there no rest room and only seaveres dogs aloud there are picknic tables at most of water fronts but there is one you can reaseve but there are no barbecues
Really nice lil park but it is too much trash!!
It was a nice and relaxing place with an amazing view
Nice back to nature trails through the wood and along the river. Unfortunately, a lot of washed up trash from the boats and nearby boatyards. Not much parking, and not very large.
Grew up playing there. A hidden gem
Perfect place for spending a afternoon with a lover
Great place to relax and watch boat traffic on the South Fork of the New River!
Lovely small wilderness area on the South Fork of the New River for a short visit.....
Its a nice little park and a great use of the land. No long walks but very pretty.
