This place is a hidden gem. Myself and my adult sons (18 & 22) are car fanatics visiting from Scottsdale Arizona. We love all cars (Huge Chevy fans) this is filled with lots of mint conditioned Packards. And soooooo much more. All types of other car parts, sings, gas machines, original car manuals. You have to check this place out. Just awesome!!!!

To my mind, this place is very underrated. It is hard for a small museum to compete with sunny beaches of Fort Lauderdale but if you are anyway is interested in museums this is definitely a place to go. The admission fee is 10 dollars only. This place is quite empty, so with some luck you can get a private tour for free (since the guide has nothing to do otherwise) and learn about Packard car make history. They collected all the models there, so there is enough stuff to see.

Visiting Fort Lauderdale and stopping at the Antique car museum was a great idea. At a low cost of 10$ you will be taken back in the 19 century. This museum has very friendly staff that will take time you explain the story of each unique cars. The walls are filled with all kind of old car accessories from car emblems to window sliding knobs. Its interesting to read each car story and believe that our grand parents where driving those.

This is truly a hidden gem. The vehicles look like they’ve just rolled out of the factory and the ambience is also very good: background music, mementos, license plates, artifacts from the early 20th century. The only downside is the rather unfriendly, unwelcoming staff, but the cars make up for that deficiency.

Ask the man who owns one! Fully elaborate collection of Americas first true classic car the Packard. You wont see your modern sensor box of a car here. What you will see is American steel and basic fuel/spark engines that can still come to life with the simple twist of a crank or push-start in later models. Its a worthwhile visit whether youre local or visiting for the day. A true motorheads dream to see how it all started!

Great Packard car museum. This was a private collection, and shortly after the owners passing, his wife preserved her husbands passion for this great American Marque. Also has other Automobilia. This place only has Packard automobiles nothing else. It is a nice museum and they have a large selection of Packards that I would love to have. They also have memorabilia stuff related to the Packard vehicle. If you have at least 2 hours you can easily walk around and see all the Packards. I was mesmerized by how beautiful these cars are. I seriously would make one my daily driver if I could restore one. It reminded me if my dads old 1983 Chevy impala 4 door with the bench front and rear row seats that easily fit 6 people. It was so comfortable to sit in and so roomy. Definitely go to the meseum and let your imagination wander.

This is a Packard only museum. There was a very nice collection of cars and a few trucks representing all eras of Packard production. I am not a real fan of Packard, and if noted, I missed the fact that it was an exclusive exhibition. I thought I was going to a antique car museum, for that I was disappointed.

Fascinating place, great collection, looks like a time capsule, includes antiques other than cars along with a room dedicated to president Roosevelt memorabilia. Inexpensive admission ($10 per person), and, if you search, you can find a $3 coupon. Strangely, they accept cash payment only. They let you in and you just walk around on your own. Sometimes a worker comes in and starts showing and telling individual guests the most interesting facts about some items. He is too busy running around. If you are able to engage him it makes the experience much better. A must see!

I would warn people this place is not an antique car museum, its an antique Packard museum. If all you want to see is a quality collection of early Packards then this place is for you. Since there was no mention of Packard in the name, my wife and I expected a museum of antique cars, but instead it was only one type of car, so was missing the other 90% of the cars offered in this part of history. Its a good collection of Packards, but after you have seen 10 or more Packards of the same basic style, you get a little burned out. There wasnt much history information here either. No one walked with us or shared knowledge of the vehicles or of the Packard company, we were left to wander and read a small paragraph on a piece of paper next to each car. At least cover the full details of the history of Packard if this is the only car brand you have.Overall was slightly disappointed in the experience, but if you were aware of this up front you wont get your hopes up and can enjoy it for what it is.

I wish they had Annual Memberships! I would go there weekly if I could. I discovered this gem a number of years ago on a GROUPON special. I get back there at least 4-5x a year and am amazed each visit. Although the founder and original collector Mr. Stone, (may his soul rest in peace) started with Packards, there are dozens of non-Packards too. The oldest car is a 1909 Packard speedster, but my favorite car is the limo used by President Calvin Coolidge. There is at least 1 antique fire truck, hearse, floral delivery van, dozens of limos all of the 1920s, 1930s and 40s.It appears to be a small little building from the street (lots of free street parking) but it rambles from room to room to room, and dont be surprised if you are the only patron there. Many times Ive been there for hours with no other visitors in the building. The staff (curator) is delightful and is happy to speak about Packards, or The Stone Family at length. I was there a few days after Mr. Stone died, his widow, kids and grandkids were there selecting a car to use for his processional. The collection is beautifully displayed with tens of thousands of accessories for all antique cars on display, on the walls. This is my go to place with out of town guests, on rainy days.
