Ive never been here before, but was a little nervous because of COVID. Sean was super awesome and he explained everything right as we walked in. It was really easy and cheap to pay for 45 minutes of bowling for 5 people! Brett provided us with drinks and he was fantastic as well, the staff were really friendly and checked in on us often which I appreciated. They were professional, the facility was really clean, and staff were super friendly. We played pool after too and had an awesome time! Highly recommended, we will be back!
I decided to go bowling to celebrate my fiances great achievements this past year. We have been together for 9 years but have never went bowling together. Many years ago I was purposed to in this same bowling alley by someone else. I use to have a lot of fun here! It was fun but rather expensive ! The music was overbearing with all the constant hip hop! $10 for 2 Budweiser glasses, $7.50 for an order of fries plus tips. Not to mention bowling 2 games was real expensive . Other then that we did have fun. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Thank you for that. Altogether we spent $90 bowling for 2. I just think everyone should be aware of the cost. Later I discovered coupons on line would have been a smarter move.
Came here to celebrate the birthday of an old friend who has passed on. The music was perfect (thanks, Sean). Brett was great at taking care if us and Rich makes a killer chicken Caesar salad. Thanks for all the wonderful memories weve had at Chippers over the last many years.
This chippers is definitely way better than the one on Horsetooth. The staff is super friendly and it has fun environment. Cody is also so kind and remembers my groups names!!!(:
Staff were so friendly in explaining the rules for keeping everyone safe and changes since we had last been in. 2 hours of some family fun!
Fun for all ages, modern feel and killer live music!
Had a lot of fun but wish they had more ticket games.
Thank you so much! We had a fantastic time and everything went above and beyond our expectations! Thank you for being such wonderful hosts for our annual staff party.
They were having a karaoke contest. That makes them awesome in my opinion already. :) They offer some very reasonable bowling prices too. The staff is great!
We were there for the Kittle Reality Party and it was nicely put together. The allies seem alright, some old technology and screens for sure who knows what a different day would do. The lanes were some of the most difficult to figure out. I dont know if they oil for leagues or not but I wasnt having a good night trying to figure out the lanes.
Held a private event here with over 150 people, the staff was so professional and very accommodating! I received all documentation I needed extremely quickly and it was so well priced! Everyone had a great time, we will definitely be back!!!
This is the older of the chippers lanes. Lanes arent as well waxed, and wood is warped. And it can be pricey. I went by myself to relief some stress and they wanted $50 for 90 minutes, so better if you go in a group. South side chippers is cleaner with better lanes.
Had the beat time tonight. Great band!! Fun time all around. Headfirst rox was so fun.
Would rate more stars if we didnt end up payong way too much for watered down alcohol.
I threw a fundraiser for a friend in need at Chippers Lanes. From the very start it was a wonderful experience. Shauna helped me get things rolling, as I have never thrown a fund raiser before. She guided me with everything that would be needed and her ideas for the fund raiser. The staff was welcoming and had everything set up for me when I arrived. They were so welcoming to everyone when they arrived. The whole experience to all was awesome! I would recommend Chippers to anyone for any kind of party or benefit! The stage for entertainment was actually on the lanes so while bowling you could listen and watch the band. 5 gold stars for sure!!
I visited this location with a group of my cousins and had great bowling service from the front desk. We were able to use a deal from Groupon and had really professional service from the staff. We all used the arcade and won quite a bit of tickets. Ali and Corey stayed very organized and friendly as the kids piled on tickets and picked out prizes. Would recommend to families!
We had our company Holiday Party at Chippers last weekend. Shauna was great in helping me set up the event and selecting food. We had a great time and their team that night was wonderful. I had some good compliments about the food which made me happy. The bowling was a great avenue for team building in a fun atmosphere. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had—even a couple days later.
We had our Christmas party there. It was a great deal of fun
Staff is friendly and atmosphere is amazing
Nice place, never too bad of a crowd. Didnt get to stay long enough for the musical show tonight, but it weeks was good.
Everyone was informative, efficient, pleasant and helpful. Very clean and organized. I am happy that my family has been coming here for years!
Great staff and atmosphere, really lifted my spirits.
Really fun place for the whole family! Great weekend and night deals!
Great place! Great people.
Lanes need attention but had a fun time, some of the employees were rude other than that it was a nice way to spend a few hundred bucks lol
We had a group event here. Taco bar was basic but good. Bar service was good and she was attentive. The lanes and lighting created a lot of glare which made it hard to bowl.
Amazing people. Great music. Clean. Games Well kept and good food
Would be 5 stars but I spent like 40 bucks on a pitcher of soda and 2 sides of fries. Ridiculous. Other than that its bowling. Its always fun.
Has a pretty good atmosphere here. Nice to go and chill with some friends. 4 stars for prices on beverages, any type, and no 16lb or higher bowling balls available. If neither of those matter, then this will be 5 star for you!
These guys dont know how to cook a simple kids meal. I waited 20 mins out of my 30 min lunch just to get my food. It shouldve been done faster but the guy over cooked my chicken fingers and said 2 of them were undercooked then decided to ask me if I would like him to make more. I replied with whatever you think you have to do... Guess that meant spending more time cooking .... I got the food and it was hot but a little too crispy. I wouldnt recommend eating here.
This location participates in the Kids Bowl Free program, which allows kids to bowl 2 free games each week. They also have a family package for the adults which allows you to pay a low one-time fee to bowl free. Unfortunately, the floor is delaminating at the front edge of the lanes, and I kept feeling grit/dirt on the floor in our assigned lane area. We were the first customers of the day, so the place should have been spotless. **EDIT** Tried this location again yesterday morning, lane 5, and found that the floor on this lane is worse than others. Dont expect your ball toroll straight on this lane. Also, we had to use 2 balls per person because it took more than a minute for the machine to pick up and return the first ball. You could see the previous ball rolling back and force at the back of the machine.
This is not a chipper laying problem as much as it is a Fort Collins problem. Went to the bowling alley at 8 at night on a Tuesday night in the whole place was completely packed and we were not able to go bowling until 11:00 at night. Happened to me three times now. I really miss the Small Town Fort Collins feel :-(
Great place to spend with family! Fun to be active in a happy atmosphere. Food is great and came quickly. Staff is friendly and helpful. Customer service has always been very helpful over the phone or through email.
Always cheap prices, a big arcade, and a great staff!
Words an not describe how amazing my last sorority event went at Chippers Lanes. Shauna was the most flexible, kind, and helpful individual to work with. Thanks to Shauna everything went so smoothly and everyone had so much fun.
Great place! We went and got unlimited bowling for $10 a person. The staff, though busy, was awesome. The lane glitched out once, but was quickly sorted out.
Fun place to take your kids
We hosted our corporate Holiday Party at the North College location and it turned out amazing! We were able to rent out the whole venue for a couple of hours, set up drink tickets, and had great food options! I had the pleasure of coordinating the event with Shauna who was just fantastic and made it completely stress free.
A fun night that took me back to the movies from the 80s and 90s, also a good date location
We (Realities For Children) planned a large event for the children we serve, and the staff at Chippers was so easy to work with. They were welcoming and accommodating, and wanted to make sure the kids had a great time, which they did. Thank you!
Friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and safe/fun environment for children. My wifes brother (his wife & three girls) were visiting from out of town. Rainy weather forced us to seek entertainment indoors for the kids. Chippers made that super easy on us. Shaun took great care of our family. Dude was really putting energy into his work. Kudos.Good tunes too!
Excellent burger and Brent the Bartender makes the best drinks
If the customer service wasnt good, I would have given this 1-2 stars. Our lane kept fouling us, even when we didnt cross the line. We then had to move lanes because of the errors, but that lane, too, kept fouling us. It was also not the cleanest of bowling alleys. However, the food was surprisingly good, and the employee did not charge us for shoes since we had issues. Not a great bowling night, but the customer service made it much better.
We had a uniform fitting and bowling party for our fastpitch organization consisting of 110 girls and their parents - huge group, and Shauna and the team were fantastic. Extremely accomodating, accessible, and helpful - I heard nothing bad from an extremely large group of people! Food was great, as always, bowling was great, service was great...we are extremely happy to have accomplished this much in such a short time. Along the way, Shauna followed up to clarify/confirm things a couple times prior to the event - made me feel comfortable that all was taken care of ahead of time - and it was!
The Winter league was great and I must say. The way Larry ran things every week. Was a huge factor in making it an enjoyable experience. I’ve bowled for 20 years in NJ and this league was by far my favorite. I want to thank the entire Chippers staff but Larry really stood out in going above and beyond by being calm. During troublesome experiences and taking care of them in a timely manner.
Had a great time! Facility was nice and clean. Please open a 2nd cash register for ppl to close out. Had 2 little kids with me, exhausted and had to stand in line for 20 minutes after playing to close out despite 2 girls behind the desk.
I love Chipper Lanes, it is pricey but I enjoy bowling here.
UPDATE (10/27/18): Between two lanes on league night, I counted and we had 23 instances of the pins not setting correctly, the lanes skipping frames, and other issues that required us to get the front desk to go into the back to fix things. Clearly no progress is being made on upkeeping the equipment.Lanes and pin machines are consistently in bad repair. If you want to play in a league, good luck, because they often cancel leagues at the last minute without notifying anyone (we were signed up for a league that was supposed to start tonight, and the only way we found out it was cancelled was by calling today, they made no effort to reach out to us). Managers will apologize up and down, but nothing ever changes, so who really cares about their apologies? Bowling is fun, but not here
Had a wonderful experience today bowling with my employees.....a Monday afternoon! The staff was super friendly and the food and drinks hit the spot. This beats an employee meeting any day.
A fun place to visit with good prices and bowling. We went on a Wednesday night, and ended up playing a great game of trivia while we bowled. The facilities are well taken care of, and they arent overly busy. I recommend this bowling alley.
Great night of bowling and pool. Lots of video games and a cool 4-person ice hockey table. Ghostbusters karaoke was awesome. My only complaint is the price of booze.
They are way too expensive probably wont be doing that experience again soon. I do have to say they have a great staff, the DJ was a drunk at least he played decent music.
Moonlight bowling no longer exists in its old format and the bar stopped selling beer pitchers in August. One game of bowling on Saturday night was nearly 12 dollars even though only 3 lanes were active with a total of maybe 15 patrons. Disco music playing at low volume added to the weird atmosphere. I used to love this place.
A little pricey but good
Expensive, they think they are a high class bowling alley only two other parties where bowling and I know why... the price is ridiculous! Drive somewhere else the drive would be worth it.Sorry I dont know how to reply just edit. No we were there last Monday the 28th at about 3.
After a Friday evening out with my family its very clear why this location had so many lanes open while the horsetooth location had a wait list. The staff was friendly and the food was good but it took quite a while to receive our order and they were out of dr. pepper. The arcade didnt have a lot of game options that allowed for winning tickets. The token machine was not dispensing tokens, the girl at the counter paused her transaction with me twice to assist other customers instead of them waiting their turn, several of the games were malfunctioning as well, not counting or returning tokens. I suggested that some of these issues could be resolved by upgrading to the card readers like the horsetooth location and I feel that despite the expense to do so it would be more profitable overall. My personal bowling ball sustained a few chips from the returns after only two games. Shootout to the bartender for the complementary drink for my birthday, he makes some great margaritas.
I recently took my family to chippers to have a fun family night out. I wish we would of never gone there because it was very bad customer service. I order food and it was nasty, they burnt our pizza. The girls bathroom was so nasty I would not let my child us it. I had to wait to get a refill on my drinks. I will not be taking my family back here again. I fell that we should of not paid for this.
Fun place for bowling with family. They were kind to put a baseball game on the TV next to our lane from my sisters request. Also had trivia going on that night. I bowled a 153!
Great service and staff.... Took my nieces and nephew there we had a great night.... And the ghost busters were there good music and trivia questions to win free stuff..
They have really cleaned up the North side location. Not nearly as crowded as the Horsetooth location. The pizza was good, but the mixed drinks were a bit weak.
Fun old school style
Fun places to bowl and have some drinks
Black light bowling in Tuesday. Cheap and good service from attendant and bar tender!
Who the heck turns away business??? We were there 30 minutes early based on someone telling us hey if your here at 10:30pm we can work you in. So sure we get in about 10:25 and they tell us sorry were COMPLETELY PACKED. Okay I understand.. TWO people a lane.. two people?? You could fit in one little party?? No wonder this place is going under. Such a pathetic way of business.
Nice bowling alley have an arcade and a punchimg machine to relive ypur stress
The Tuesday night bowling league was fun as F^%K! Specifically Larry! Anytime our team needed help Larry was there to help. Also great job to the bartenders!
Really a great time to be had by all ages. Wins or loses do not matter, its how loud your pins are! Facilities were CLEAN! No smoke anywhere!! Food, bar and wait staff made it even more fun w their extraordinary service. If you get upset about your scores, just put the bumpers up. Great double date location or place to have a family event. The food was unexpectedly amazing!!
My family and I love the staff here at north chippers lanes. We have been bowling here once a week all summer long for the kids bowl for free and they have always been polite and helpful as well as always having a smile on there faces. It feels good walking into an establishment always seeing a smile and welcoming gestures...Because of our experience this past summer we decided to join a winter league that we are in on Thursday nights! My only complaint for this bowling center would be that the lanes are in horrible shape and our bowling balls seem to be getting eaten alive through the ball return possibly. It would be nice if the owner would invest some money and update these lanes like the ones they have in there horsetooth location.
Chippers north Fort Collins is the bomb! Natasha n Brett provide excellent service behind bar. Cody whips up a mean pie n the ladies at the front desk are great!
We had an employee team building bowling Kumbaya and had a fantastic time. The staff at Chippers was great! We had 8 lanes to ourselves, appetizers, great music and some great competition. We will definitely be back.
We had a great time. Lots to do.
*UPDATE*Their machines messed up our bowling balls again and the repairs that Denis did made one of our balls split in half. Sue at the other location replaced the two balls that we left there but, now I am worried my ball is going to do the same thing as he plugged it so badly. They have no communication and take forever to figure anything out!I am giving them 2 stars because the manager is nice and apologetic but, their machines took chunks out of our balls. They gave us free games and promised to fix them. However, the shop guy took nearly 2 months to get our bowling balls back and when we did they are considerably uglier than before. Now all four of our bowling balls have little black circles on them where they drilled the balls and filled the scratches back in. Didnt even try to match the color of the balls and my sons lime green one looks horrid. I know it is not all about the color but when you pay quite a bit of money for bowling balls, you want them to look semi-decent.
November 14th, 2015: I am not sure where to start. So, we went to the Chippers Lanes in south Fort Collins which has better staff and management. It was packed, so we opted for the establishment in North Fort Collins which this review pertains to. When we got there, I was told we could pay by the game, and then they changed it to pay by the hour. When I asked why, they said I am only a cashier, I dont know, they havent told me why it’s that way. I had a group of six, and knew this would cause a much higher end bill, but was more focused on having a good time. When we sat down, I had a can of coke I had almost finished and staff immediately noticed I had not purchased it there so they took it out of my hand, smelled it and said no outside beverages were allowed. We purchased a pitcher and then they showed up and carded all of the people we were with, which is understandable but the attitude displayed in the process was condescending and demeaning. Then the balls were heavily gouged and ruined, the lanes were not polished and dented, and the machine on lane 7 was constantly off by 1/2 a frame. We ended up dissatisfied and I notified the manager. He told me he could not prorate our bowling. I became angry and told him we were being screwed over. He then threatened to kick me out. They came by early and took half full drinks, and had little knowledge of how to fix the broken machine on lane 7. After all of that, when we went to the car after bowling, someone had placed a glass from the bowling alley under one of our tires. At the end of the night we paid $120.00 for bowling, and $80.00 for drinks and heavily regretted every penny of it! Here are 6 people that won’t be back. And, if you see this and you’re the owner/manager, I wrote I WILL NEVER COME BACK on my receipt from this night. Waiting for the “big league players” to come to Fort Collins! Your days are numbered as a business, measured in the days until they come.
It was a very cool place to go bowling. Nice new video games to play. 2 nice pool tables. I only saw one game out of order which is pretty good. Lots bowling balls to use. Couldnt find lefty holed balls. Staff was nice and presentable. They were quick to assist when needed. Rental shoes were nice but as usual they hurt my arch as Most rentals shoes are not great comfort. Watch it though as there is a pot shop and drive thru liquor store next door and sometimes these people are sketch.
This place is great. I really like the whole staff!! Out of everyone I find Sean and Natasha to be incredibly helpful, they are always positive and friendly!!
Great family fun!
Had a great night
Fun loving environment. Great place to have fun with family and friends. Their seasoned fries are addictive.
Needs an update on the Lanes they look like the same ones that were there 10 years ago wen I last visited. Other than that great staff good people.
Great prices for every night of the week. Love their white russians.
We had a blast
Awesome place, fun atmosphere. A little pricey sometimes. Good food.
Came for a work party, got my booze for free and left cause free was the only cost i was willing to pay for the beer or games. Pricy.
Tasty bar food and good beer on tap help set this bowling alley apart from others!
The crew here is awesome. Mac and Rich rock that grill! Personally, I go for the skiball (I have my eye on a slime soaker if I save up enough tickets!) Go. Play.
Kevin did great with sound, would highly recommend playing at Chippers!
Kind of hard to find a bowling ball for someone with big fingers thats under 15lbs
It was clean and decent but ridiculously expensive. 55 bucks for two adults and two children under 4. Wont be going again.
Went here after the South Location didnt have any lanes open. Staff was nice. I had a problem finding a ball to fit my fingers (either way too small or utterly loose). The lanes look a little warped and pockmarked, but Im not a serious bowler, so I dont care much. We did have an issue when one pin got pushed to the side a few inches. The pinsetter got stuck and it took 5 minutes for someone to get us going again. Overall it was fun.
Always A good time.
The staff is amazing and they really appreciate their regulars!
Its a good fun time!
It was better when they had nightly deals. Now its too expensive to go bowling with the family every week :(
The atmosphere is alright but I took my kids bowling on Fathers Day and was really disappointed at the condition of the lanes. They seemed worn and beat up, the floor had holes in it right where you sit and it felt like the seats were going to fall off the wall.My main reason for the low rating may not be Chippers fault but having to walk in and explain to my children what the nasty smell was outside the bowling alley. There is a rec/med store next door and outside smelled like potsobad it was nauseating.I dont think Ill be bringing my boys back here. Id rather make the time to drive to the summit in Loveland.
Great food and fun times bowling for a company party
My girlfriend and I were on a double date here and we had coupons for one free hour of bowling. The guy at the front dest noted that we could not use the discount during peak hours (the time we had come). We turned to get some stiff drinks at the bar to quell our disappointment. The bartender (Brett) noticed immediately our downtrodden mood and offered to use some of his personal free games for us to bowl. We took him up on his offer and had a great night playing. The staff makes this place!!
Sean is great !! We come in with more then one group and he is always very friendly, attentive and always has lanes open !
