Such a beautiful and peaceful walk by the river. So nice that it does not get too much traffic. Perfect one on one with nature.

Nice walking area by the Poudre river. Also a pond for waterfowl which is heavily secured from humans by marsh vegetation. But there is another area designated for fishing but mainly catch and release as there are size limits.

This is a delightful area for a walk, for fishing, and for taking it easy. The people I have met here have been friendly and there are some HUGE koi in the ponds. It really is a treasure being just on the edge of town and to feel like you got out of the city. One of the great secrets of Fort Collins.

So sad that the ponds are near dry, there is no longer a restroom either.But...a nice walk past the ponds will lead you to a better view and the river. If you need to pee youll have to pop a squat.

A perfect escape from the city, just moments away. Not overly groomed, not terribly popular. Just quiet. Wear mosquito repellent and enjoy some peace.

Nice nature walk with littles. Picnic shelter with tables. Some benches and educational signs along the way. No bathroom... Need to go a little south along shields for that.

This gem is just North of the big parking area for the river at Shields street. There is a fishing pond at the start, a nice walk along the river, and a large lake to circle around. Seems a lot more private and secluded than the other areas in the same vicinity.

I fish here quiet a bit, when going a few days ago the water looked like oil was spilt in it, and it wasnt a place I wanted to fish. Or even take my kid to. I went back today, and the oil spill look was gone, but the water is so low now idk whats going on. They have some good bass in it

Beautiful area for hiking and biking! Lots of geese to gander and a grand good view of the goodness of nature. You can see the foothills from here. From Horsetooth, and Arthurs Rock to the Twin Peaks and coyote ridge, but North up the Poudre river in the hills. The view of the sunsets is incredible!

Fishing has always been poor here for me here. Water quality is pretty low. Super turbid. Its somewhat quaint, but since its a city park, so many people go there to walk dogs, talk smack about their spouses, or creep on other people. YMMV
