Great options to hike. The falls themselves were quite underwhelming (just tiny little trickle of water) but if you go at the right time of year, I’m sure they’re great!

Perfect, easy hike for people who want a little challenge but nothing too crazy! Good hike for kids too. Theres some great views at the top of the falls! Watch out for rattlesnakes.

This is a great park, even in less than ideal weather. Visited on a foggy morning with light snow in the higher parts of the park. The trails are so well defined, this gave the opportunity to see the park in a very unique setting. Definitely will be returning!

Absolutely wonderful fields and open space to walk, bike, horseback ride. Beautiful views and camping option around the reservoir.

This trail is amazing. Great sights of mountains and trees and even some animals (deer or caribou or something like that) BUT WARNING if youre going to see the waterfall, dont go in the summer. It is only a small stream and some drips going down holy cow was that a little bit disappointing. But I mean still really nice sights, just dont go JUST for the waterfall cause youre gonna be sad

Id make sure the waterfall is actually flowing. Nice easy hike with great scenery none the less. Tons of deer and other critters.

Really cool trail. However it should be called Horsetooth Trickle. The water was trickling down the side of the mountain. I was cool, but dont expect a true water fall.

Love this hike! Some elevation gain (~1400) but not straight up the whole time and very doable in a couple hours. The views at the top (and even on the way up as you get above the surrounding hills) are incredible. Hiked this early Jan so the mountain peaks were snow capped. $6 to park-machine takes card.

Great moderate difficulty trail! Lots of switchbacks in some places and get ready for lots of up and downs. Some stairs, some loose rock towards the top of the trail near the rock summit. Fair amount of sun and shade along trail.

This trail was wonderful to walk. Beautiful mountain views, we saw three deer at the bottom of the valley eating. We also saw a large buck (male deer) on top of the mountainside. Nice stream running in the middle of the hike and a waterfall with a shallow pond at the end of the trail. Best part is the park is dog friendly so we brought our dog to do the hike with us. But, must clean up after your dog and stay on the path. Make sure you bring some water to drink. The park does have public bathrooms and a water fountain at the start of the trail. Water fountain is for people and dogs (seperate fountains). Parking has video cameras and is patrolled with security for your protection. $9 to park

Dog friendly. A bit more than what I consider moderate hike on a hot day. The falls were completely dried up the last week of September!

You might want to make sure youre in pretty decent shape for this trail. I will say the view at the top is absolutely incredible and worth the climb. Try and go at a time when you can catch the sun setting at the top. Bring really good flashlights or a headlamp and take the bike trail on your descent to get back a little easier in the dark. This is a MUST do when visiting Fort Collins.

Very nice hike. Of course the falls are dry in the fall LOL but still a nice easy to medium trail, especially if acclimating from a home in lower elevations

This trail is great for hiking and going for walks. We brought the dogs here and took the kids for a walk up the trail for part of the ways is great we all love the views. A few suggestions and bring extra water make sure you bring some good shoes and perhaps a poncho in case it rains.

There isnt a bad time to be had on any of the trails around the lake. Of course snow and cold weather could qualify as a bad time for some, but you knew what the heck you were getting into before you parked the car at the trailhead.

A mostly easy hike to a nice falls. The first 2/3 of the hike (2.4 miles rount trip) is gentle, the last 1/3 is a bit more difficult, but with little elevation gain. The signage is very minimal, but path is straightforward. Theres also an option to connect with the Spring Creek trail near the falls rather than taking the incoming Falls trail back to the parking lot.
