Great place to walk the dog, the water smells a bit but its okay. We did see 4 dead ducks along the almost 2 mile lap. Signs are posted to not even allow dogs in the water so be careful

The smallest Largemouth bass I have ever caught. Nice place. Good wildlife and not too many people.

Peaceful and roomy. Makes an excellent spot to exercise on their paved paths or to take a rest next to the river or ponds and read a book.

Ive taken dogs for walks here several times and its a great easy trail with varying pathways. Horses are welcome here too! Great for someone looking to expose their animals to different traffic including bikes, hikers, runners and of course dogs. If you go all the way around the reservoir it turns into a pretty nice ride taking around an hour and a half at the walk.

Arapahoe bends has a lovely lake/pond which is perfect for fishing or kayaking (no swimming allowed). The lake is about half a mile long with several small islands and walking paths thru trees and shaded areas. The place has abundant wildlife and despite some road noise nearby, it is still rather calm and pleasant here to relax.

What a beautiful place to take a walk or go for a bike ride with your family! My daughter and I love to spend time here on the weekends. There are a few trails and some little ponds with benches to sit down and relax. From the ponds, you can get a nice view of Longs Peak. My favorite time to go - right now! Its fall, and the trees are just beautiful!

Great place to walk dogs or take a short horseback ride! In the warmer months plenty of water fowl can be seen. Easy trails with pretty views despite being right in the city still.

Nice trails and ponds close in to the city. Good for walking and exercising your dog. Pit toilets at the trailhead are poorly maintained and dirty.

Such a beautiful area. Nice paved/dirt path around the reservoir. Terrific view of the front range. The area is heavily posted with signs requiring dogs to be leashed and restricting access to the reservoir bankBe prepared as many people will let their dogs run loose and attacks, bites often result.

There is a paved path and dirt. Port-a-potty in the middle. I usually see bald eagles here when I go. Sometimes they hang out by the cabin. The noise from the freeway can be quite loud and in summer it can be stinky but has a nice view and you can do a loop walk to get some mileage in.

Great place to grab a slice of nature without having to go very far. The trails around the ponds wind through trees so there is a decent amount of shade. Its a popular place but not so filled with people that its annoying. We love to bring our dogs here and let them sniff the bushes and run through the tall grass.

Its a nice little 4 mile walk if you stay on the perimeter. I didnt realize they had paved a lot of the trails around the area, but I was happy to see some were still dirt. Overall its a nice area to go stretch your legs in town. Plus Ive had luck with bass and perch in the summer time.

Nice and quiet walking trail although we encountered a coiled rattlesnake right by the paved trail. The dog luckily noticed or heard it first. When I saw its head raised, I darn near freaked. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see one. Now that spring is here, keep an eye out for them.

For the nature, the ponds and trails are wonderful, but the I-25 traffic noise is usually louder than the birds. Maybe we can petition for a noise barrier wall to be built?Recently, the city sprays herbicide along the trail also that is flagged as not safe for kids or pets; so, how is it safe for fireflies, birds, or bees?

Beautiful, spiritual place to walk dog. Lovely views of the Rockies and lots of ponds, lakes, and the Poudre river. I can see why native American Indian tribes would meet there and join in spiritual ceremonies.

I actually never spend time here but Google will not except the fact that I merely work nearby. So heres the review! Old gravel pit donated to the city. Looks like an abandoned gravel pit that was donated to the city. It has wildlife now because its no longer an operational gravel mine. It has ponds and trails and tons of pesticides because the city religiously sprays for mosquitoes. Great times for all!
