Great place to walk the dog, the water smells a bit but its okay. We did see 4 dead ducks along the almost 2 mile lap. Signs are posted to not even allow dogs in the water so be careful
What a stunningly great gem in Fort Collins. Bring the family, hike, sit, paint, take photos. Its so beautiful here.
Nice place to fish from shore. Small tho so if you want a good spot go early. A lot of paddle boarders seem to come at late morning.
Lovely hike. Trail is well maintained and flat. Did make sure to load up on sunscreen and bug spray. Was able to take a stroller on all paths.
Ive taken dogs for walks here several times and its a great easy trail with varying pathways. Horses are welcome here too! Great for someone looking to expose their animals to different traffic including bikes, hikers, runners and of course dogs. If you go all the way around the reservoir it turns into a pretty nice ride taking around an hour and a half at the walk.
I love the outdoors and fishing this is a really great place to go.
Arapahoe bends has a lovely lake/pond which is perfect for fishing or kayaking (no swimming allowed). The lake is about half a mile long with several small islands and walking paths thru trees and shaded areas. The place has abundant wildlife and despite some road noise nearby, it is still rather calm and pleasant here to relax.
What a beautiful place to take a walk or go for a bike ride with your family! My daughter and I love to spend time here on the weekends. There are a few trails and some little ponds with benches to sit down and relax. From the ponds, you can get a nice view of Longs Peak. My favorite time to go - right now! Its fall, and the trees are just beautiful!
Great place to walk with nice relaxing streams, a beautiful lake, and the occasional wildlife
Great area to come and spend time in nature. Beautiful scenery throughout.
Its awesome. I just wish some people who fished there were more responsible because there seems to be stray fishing lines once in a while. I try to clean it up but theres always more
Great place to take a walk. Paved main trails with dirt trails that lead off around all the lakes. Always people there fishing.
Very nice park that good for walking, bicycling, and fishing. Just wish people would pick up their trash a bit more, in afraid they might get stricter if the trash issues continue
Such a beautiful area. Nice paved/dirt path around the reservoir. Terrific view of the front range. The area is heavily posted with signs requiring dogs to be leashed and restricting access to the reservoir bankBe prepared as many people will let their dogs run loose and attacks, bites often result.
There is a paved path and dirt. Port-a-potty in the middle. I usually see bald eagles here when I go. Sometimes they hang out by the cabin. The noise from the freeway can be quite loud and in summer it can be stinky but has a nice view and you can do a loop walk to get some mileage in.
Best place to catch bass
Nice trail, but noisy from 25hw
Such a quiet area, no crowds.
I absolutely love this play. Easy access to several ponds, a beautiful nature trail, and best of all, the poudre river is right there
Great place to grab a slice of nature without having to go very far. The trails around the ponds wind through trees so there is a decent amount of shade. Its a popular place but not so filled with people that its annoying. We love to bring our dogs here and let them sniff the bushes and run through the tall grass.
Beautiful park with awesome trail for running and walking and biking.
Very nice pkace good fishing
Lovely place to park, and then go for a nice walk in nature. This park was a pleasant surprise. I was traveling, and took a day to explore.
Its a nice little 4 mile walk if you stay on the perimeter. I didnt realize they had paved a lot of the trails around the area, but I was happy to see some were still dirt. Overall its a nice area to go stretch your legs in town. Plus Ive had luck with bass and perch in the summer time.
Fishing is good, big bass. Nice trails
Nice place to relax
Great group of ponds. Decent fishing and a lot of wildlife and birds. Ive seen quite a few large bull snakes here too.
Beautiful area. Always nice
Not too far out of town. A wonderful place to enjoy nature. Very clean and well cared for.
Great place for the family. Riding is excellent. Good for everything from Jeeps to dirt bikes.
Nice size troat in here!!
Gorgeous place to get your nature and exercise intake, without having to leave town.
Pretty area for walking, hiking, biking, fishing
Nice place for being right by the highway. Very little shade so make sure to wear sunblock.
Nice and quiet walking trail although we encountered a coiled rattlesnake right by the paved trail. The dog luckily noticed or heard it first. When I saw its head raised, I darn near freaked. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see one. Now that spring is here, keep an eye out for them.
Great area along the river with multiple trails to branch off on. Never too crowded (yet). Good for dogs, paddleboarding or fishing.
Beautiful and clean. I Encourage you to walk about..
This is a fabulous nature area for being in town. Its great for a quick respite from all the hustle & bustle. Its great for fishing, bird watching & dog watching.
Great for hikes, fishing, and can even throw in a canoe etc.
Beautiful open space with wifi
Great place for an easy walk in the trees, around ponds, and along the river. Popular with fishermen. Bird watching opportunities here as well.
Great place for a walk, fishing, or to get family photos.
Lord of options, shade, River and pond water, fishing, 2 miles of trails, gravel and concrete. Great easy hike, jog or ride.
Great walk around the lakes. Peaceful scenery. Walk the dog, fish bike or chill out.
A great place to walk, run or bike on or off the paths. Theres fishing and the Poudre river runs around the ponds. Lots of nature as well. We saw birds, turtles, rabbits and even a snake in the Strauss cabin.
A favorite, beautiful place to find peace in nature and to work out a bit off the beaten paths in town - but its nearby! A bird sanctuary, running water in the riverbed, beautiful ponds and clear trails.
Nice place to go for a run off the roads. Not crowded. Its a 4 mile loop with the new section around the reservoir.
Great place to paddle around in our kayaks thats close to home and free$!!
Easy access and good fishing.
Good place to go fishing lots of fun with friends and family
Spawns were good but fairly spread out.
A fun place to walk/hike
Quite not busy way too reach
Casual walk it bike ride by some ponds. Popular place for fishing.
Beautiful place to visit.
A nice walk. Watch out for snakes. I encountered a baby rattle snake here that didnt have any rattles yet. It was on the paved walking path. At first I thought it was a water snake untill it coiled up and shook its tiny bald little tail. So cute.
So pretty and accessible. Loved it.
Beautiful
Nice place to walk the pup or go for a walk!
For the nature, the ponds and trails are wonderful, but the I-25 traffic noise is usually louder than the birds. Maybe we can petition for a noise barrier wall to be built?Recently, the city sprays herbicide along the trail also that is flagged as not safe for kids or pets; so, how is it safe for fireflies, birds, or bees?
Nice 8 foot wide paved trail starting at the transit center parking lot. Saw a bald eagle very close to the trail.
Beautiful, spiritual place to walk dog. Lovely views of the Rockies and lots of ponds, lakes, and the Poudre river. I can see why native American Indian tribes would meet there and join in spiritual ceremonies.
I actually never spend time here but Google will not except the fact that I merely work nearby. So heres the review! Old gravel pit donated to the city. Looks like an abandoned gravel pit that was donated to the city. It has wildlife now because its no longer an operational gravel mine. It has ponds and trails and tons of pesticides because the city religiously sprays for mosquitoes. Great times for all!
Great for a morning run! Dog friendly and family friendly!
B E A utiful
Always beautiful and peaceful
Nice place to walk or hike. Quiet and peaceful
There are good hiking trails here and paved and dirt paths. There is no restroom but there is a porta potty. Looks like a gray please to fish but I didnt go to fish the day we visited.
Beautiful Natural area with good fishing
First visit here was nice. There is the historic Strauss cabin to check out, a reservoir and some lakes. Nice sitting areas on the lake shore. Fishing and dogs are allowed. Beautiful area to watch the sunset.
Nice place to take a beautiful walk!
Noise from Harmony road is loud on the south end but in general the pond is a calm pleasant body of water for a leisurely kayak spin. Close to town.
Nice short hikes around ponds and the river. Great dog walking area.
It is a very large dog park. Animals off leash, feces on and along the side of the road around Rigden reservoir. Dogs chasing wildlife and in the reservoir. The fishing ponds are very nice though.
Pretty and peaceful. The views are amazing. Good birding too.
A great place right outside of the city. Lots of birds its actually quite and alot of ponds with alot of fish. Great place
I like it for the convenience ...its close to my job.
Nice place to take a quick rest
Nice relaxing set of lakes with some decent fishing action.
Awesome outdoor experience close to home... a place to walk, run, bike, fish, eat, rest, and reflect near lakes and a river.
They have cleaned it up so easier to walk around the area. Beautiful area to take a stroll
I like to go to this place to hide and recharge my batteries
Nice area
Beautiful area loved the scenery. my first time here and am eager to come back
