Very welcoming staff that is happy to teach. Rental and paper targets are cheap. Recurve bows are available for rental only, but you can purchase compound, recurve and all sorts of accessories in their shop. Wait times vary, but it has never been too awful.

EDIT: Cooler heads prevail. I cant justify a review because I was frustrated. I guess I expected at least a Hi or Well be with you. They were busy. My friend swears by them and it seemed like a good place. I love the fact they service everything right in view and not in the back. Cool idea. Ill drop my frustration and give them the benefit of the doubt. Ill be back. Too many positive reviews not to.3 stars based on friends referral. 1 star because I waited probably 5 minutes by counter and was never helped. No one said Hi. Several customers from their range came up and were helped immediately. I was walked by several times. I didnt have my wallet out, not sure if that was the issue. There were what appeared to be at least 5? employees there. 2 working on bows, 2 initially helping people, and 1 doing ?. I get being busy. They didnt appear too busy to say Hey. Ill be with you in a couple minutes. Walked out without hearing a word. Really frustrating. Especially for a novice seeking advice and a friend that swears by this place. Hopefully your experience will be better.

Excellent service! Nothing better than a family own and ran shop! These folks are knowledgeable, patient and very capable! I came in today looking for a new bow and Colton spent 4 hours answering my questions, guiding my decisions and building me the perfect bow for my needs all while not being pushy in the least. These people care about their customers and their craft and it shows. Worth the 4 hour drive to visit them and they will be the only ones who work on my new bow!!

What an experience! Stuart, the owner spent more then a fair amount of time with me to fit and select the right bow for my needs.I can tell these guys know what they are doing and run a well oiled family business.I could probably shop online and price out some of the components but after my experience today, I would pay a touch more for this local experience in our beloved town. Curated accessories make this an easy place to shop.A lifetime customer made in one day. great job, guys!

Very happy with my Hoyt bow. It’s a wicked bow that feels amazing to shoot. I love the variety of products they carry. My only hang up is how far away from me it is! They just made up a dozen of some slick arrows for me with great attention to detail, and called me every step of the way to make sure I was getting the arrows I wanted. I also had them re-serve the cams which came out amazing. High quality range and some pretty cool events, what more do you want? Good prices and selection make it worth the drive when I really need something and can’t wait.

Requested new string be put on and tuned. Picked up bow thinking everything was good after work was completed. Fired a few shots on the range at their place and things looked fine. Got home and shot at distance and arrows were flying horribly. I expected they would have set things up properly but apparently not. I had to take it to another shop and they corrected the issues and tuned properly, timing, cam lean. Wont be going back.

Horrible customer service. Set my rest up completely wrong and now I have to buy a new one. Guy that was setting up my brand new bow had to ask the other guys multiple times how to do stuff and I could tell he was just kinda wingin it. Don’t go here, go to Gannet Ridge. They actually know what they’re doing and are super polite, friendly, and helpful.

During Christmas my husband and I were curious to get into bow hunting. We dropped by with only the intention of looking 2-3 times. Customer service was awesome. We decided to go ahead and buy my Hoyt Vixen which was preowned. Stewart was exceptionally helpful. Helped me determine draw length and showed me how to shoot because I had never even shot a compound bow before. Gave me tips and helped me pick out accessories. In fact, we had such a great experience that my husband ordered his Matthews Vertix from him. He could have went down the street and gotten it immediately from another place, but we enjoyed the service so much he was willing to wait weeks for one. They have always been helpful! Even though we live over an hour away, we also enjoy their range sporadically. It’s clean and I feel safe because the people who have been there follow the rules of basic range safety very well! We can’t wait to come back.

Whether new to archery or an old pro, I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Archery. Family owned and operated. Very kind and welcoming whether beginner or seasoned vet. No high pressure sales tactics.I started archery almost a month ago and came to RMA to get my first lesson. I was thinking of purchasing a compound bow, so they set one up in the price range I was comfortable with to my personal draw length and pull #. The lesson was everything I expected and more, and I was on target a few arrows in.When the lesson was up there was no pressure to purchase the bow they had set up, (even though I did end up purchasing it).I love coming to train here or purchase new gear as they remember you and it is clear they appreciate the business. Im proud to support them and highly recommend Rocky Mountain Archery to anyone in the Northern Colorado area!

This is a perfect place to start archery. Staff was very happy to accommodate and gave some valuable tips on basics. The range is divided into three -- a giant room with targets at about 40 yards (double check that next time youre there) on one half, and about 20 on the other half. Spotted some 3d targets behind the 20yd targets, so they may hold events. The third range is a side room and is great for small parties. They allow crossbows as well. People who shoot here are very safe.Lots of bow equipment for sale, and the prices are fair. Plenty of accessories, and the staff certainly are qualified to look at your bow if you run into any trouble. Love this place.

Rude sales people. Went in to look at bows. Picked up one to test the grip and weight. Sales guy got over my right shoulder and told me to put the bow back on the wall its too expensive. It was a $400 bow. Walked out, went to an archery shop in Lakewood and bought a $800 bow. They lost my business.

Went to RMA this morning w/ a 6 yr old and 8 yr old grandson. Could not have had a better two hour experience. Stewart got us set-up/checked-in and Cooper did the rest. Cooper gave the boys safety lesson, showed them how to draw, aim, shoot - spent time w/ them and then let them shoot - came back three times to check on the boys, correct learner things, and review safety. Such a good start for two youngsters. We will go again before the boys have to go back to MT and we will return when the boys visit CO. The beginning of a lifelong skill. Great experience at RMA!!

As a family business, you wont find more knowledgeable and helpful archery pros in Northern Colorado. The entire family knows the archery world inside and out. I recently had a new bow set up and tuned by them; they answered every question I could throw at them. They did not try and sell me the most expensive accessories on the wall, rather they gave me the pros and cons of every item and their recommendation which consistently saved me money with each item I chose. As a seasoned hunter and shooter, I still learn something every time I walk in. Whether you want to get into the sport for the first time or just sling some arrows at their indoor range, their prices are amazing and overall a fantastic environment. I recommend this shop to everyone.

I was in the market for a new compound bow, and I was exceptionally surprised and thankful for how helpful the staff was. I, as with everyone else im sure, take a look at the Google reviews but always think, well someone that works there probably post excellent reviews to help the score out. The sales associate that helped me spent a great amount of time with me to help me pick out the proper bow, and then went out to the range with me in case I had any further questions. He even went as far as to let me shoot his own personal bow. Overall, I have not one bad thing to say about anyone there or the quality of attention I received. Great building, professional pleasant staff, and everything just top notch. Rocky Mountain Archery is truly Excellent.

Probably my favorite family run business in town. The folks here will never upsell you for the sake of upselling you. Our friend recently went in to try some bows out, and they actually told him not to buy the more expensive bow - he wasnt ready for it so it wasnt worth the money. They will help you get exactly what you need for where youre at and what youre trying to accomplish. They have a strong selection of products, and they are more than happy to take the time and explain why they would recommend one product over another.I brought them my bow a few years back after dry-firing it and was practically in tears. They put it back together for me, didnt charge me a thing, and even fired it first in case it blew. We have sent tons of people their way and will continue to do so. If you need anything archery related, this is the place to go!

I spent the afternoon shooting over there for Fathers Day and we had a really fun time. We told the owner that we were rookies and she took the time to get us set up with the equipment and then instructed us on how to shoot the bow and what the rules for the course were. Very nice showroom with lots of archery supplies. Well definitely be going back. They have couples shooting so it might make a fun date sometime. There were a couple women there so my wife would fit right in.

I stopped in as I aim to start hunting 1st season archery in 14. So nows a great time to 1) buy a great set up and 2) start shooting so I am deadly come Sept. I spoke to several folks at RMA, but I worked mainly with the owner. He gave me tons of attention, ideas and honest pointers about which rig to purchase and why. The place was buzzing with people coming in and out but he never rushed me which was really appreciated. We left off by saying wed talk again in a month after I did some very concentrated back exercises so that I am in shape when I come shoot some options. It also gave me a great idea to have my 6 year old boy come in on Saturdays to shoot a recurve so he slowly gets into the sport/hobby. Next time I go back it will be with the intention of plunking down my credit card to by my set up.
