I have been to coggshall a few times and I enjoy going there. I mostly take my dog for a walk and let her sniff nature. Its a decent size area with quite a few trails to walk and a decent disk golf course.
Its great for walks, for kids, for picnics, church meetings, graduations pictures, weddings. This place is awesome.
I enjoy going here alot. Its a nice place to walk around and watch the geese. Theres a playground, a nice path, a gazebo to sit in. It a little oasis in the craziest of Fitchburg.
Love to walk mu dogs around the park. Also benches to sit down.
Nice morning walk. Nature all around. Recommended!!!
Love this place. Great walking trails. Beautiful views
It was one of the most amazing experiences ! So relaxing and serene
Its a beautiful pond. There is a lot of wildlife that clearly is not afraid of human interaction (i.e. squirrels, turtles, geese, fish, etc). Its nice to go for a quick stroll around nature. If youre in the area its a very nice pit stop, otherwise I wouldnt go out of my way to visit. Also, theres a disc golf course that I have yet to try.
Its a great place go and check out the fall foliage.
Very nice place to be one with nature. Playground, walking trails, seating. Fresh and clean. Nice for just you or with the family.
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful park. Great place to walk and relax.
Its a nice park with many quiet trails. The central parking lot can often get crowded.
Nicest thing Fitchburg has to offer. Deceptively large, lots of trails. Even has a well hidden waterfall!
Our family loves Coggshall park! It is a beautiful park that I recommend to anyone looking for a fun place to bring their kids or for a nice relaxing hike/walk around the pond. There is a big playground for the kiddos, several trails to walk around the pond, a beautiful stone building that you can rent for special occasions(my sister had her wedding there), a large stone gazebo that you can walk out to and sit down to enjoy the view, several benches/picnic tables throughout the park, and of course there are the ducks and geese that the kiddos love. They are open until sunset(or 5/5:30p).FYI- many people go there specifically to feed the geese/ducks but it is actually prohibited and for good reason. All of the bread and human food that they are being fed can actually kill them(and has). Their digestive systems were not built to process that kind(or amount) of food. They are still super fun to watch and observe. But no one will be able to have that luxury if they all die off!!! It’s super tempting but please follow the rules posted and don’t feed them!
Great place to walk, relax enjoy and most of all catching Pokemon n pokestops plus 3 gyms.
My wife and I enjoy exploring the walking trails.
I played frisbee golf with my son there. Great place for the whole family.
Love it one of my favorite places in the area
Excellent place for a healthy walk surrounded by nature
Coggs is a course I love. But the increase in players has lead to a lot of trash around the course. There needs to be more trash bins around the course other than just hole 12. I went there today and the place was just a dump. Remeber take out what you take in and if you cant do that dont play at all.
Great coarse short but challenging holes
We generally go to play disc golf but the rest of the park is well kept and beautiful.
Great place to walk, has a good playground but has also dirty bathrooms.
Beautiful scenery, pleasant atmosphere
Love this place! Great family walking and playground.
Good to read and relax. Or take a walk
Great disc golf course.
Pleasant.... Nicely kept... Calming...
Great fun with my greatgrandson ducks geese fish and turtles then relaxing while he played in the playground
A cute, well maintained, and secluded spot where you can’t even hear the city move all around you. Plenty of small trails and short mini adventures to take. Friendly wildlife and community events really do make it feel like it’s the secret that’s been hiding in your own backyard.
This is a great place to go. Tons of trails, wildlife and natural beauty. Theres even a cool playground for little ones.
Hidden little oasis in Fitchburg. Paradise.
Great park with lots of ducks!
Great place for family fun.
Beautiful serene lake. Playground for kids and bathrooms available.
Beautiful place to walk & enjoy the scenery. Everyone there is playing Pokemon Go too so its somewhat lively.
This place is amazing... It is so peaceful
Great disc golf course
Extremely challenging disc golf course!
Its a wonderful place to enjoy!
Beautiful scenery and wonderful place to walk around
Pretty good just not sure about the. Dog polcies there
Love it here its so beautiful and sometimes forget youre in the middle of a city. Also a great place to catch Pokémon and tons of pokes tops!
Loved it i hadnt been there in almost 30 years.
Beautiful, tranquil spot with big, old pines, boulders and easy walking trails. Perfect place for kids and adults. My grandmother used to take me here many years ago. I took my wife and baby girls here for the first time the other day. Great time. Quintessential New England!
Ducks, geese, fun feeding them, however was upset to see their were a few that were injured, been many years since Ive been here,
This is a great park, a real jewel in Fitchburg. The pond is called Mirror Lake. Youll see the resident swans, white ducks, mallards and the always plentiful Canadian geese. Great hiking/walking paths of varying difficulty.
Coggshall park is a beautiful place to go and enjoy nature walks.
A clean, quiet place to sit, relax and bring a book. Lots of geese to watch they will follow you as you walk around the pond. Very relaxing!!
Great place to take the kids to play, feed ducks, see turtles, and hike.. great place
This place is realy nice
Beautiful right across the street from my house can not wait for you summer
Nice park with a beautiful small pond. Ample benches to relax and enjoy the scenery. Lots of geese, which are not scared by people. Goood place to spend a couple of hours.
One of my favorite parks. Great place to bring the kids to see the birds. Stay logically cautious of course.I took my wedding photos about 20 Years ago in the gazebo.
Enjoying a nice walk
Beautiful park, only wish it had night accessibility. It is a breathtakingly gorgeous sight to see the moon reflected off of it.
Just a Beautiful place to go feed the ducks, take your children/ Gra
I went here for a wedding and it was an absolutely gorgeous location for it. Stone seating in the woods with a view of the lake offered a memorable place for two people to tie the knot.
Really nice place! Got to feed couple of ducks and see a lot of turtles. Also has a great amphitheater and a porch providing a beautiful view...
Beautiful park with a lovely pond and fountain encircled by a paved walkway making it a great place for a relaxing stroll. If you venture further into the woods along the paths, youll find the opportunity for a more intensive hike! There are signs posted reminding people not to feed the ducks bread, but folk do it anyway. As a duck owner, I urge you NOT to feed them bread. It malnourishes them and causes them to have digestive problems resulting in sickly creatures.
Nice place to walk a bit or sit and watch the ducks, swans, geese or turtles. Small playground for kids. No dogs allowed.
Very calm
Easy quick walk.
Nice little park to go with the kids for a hike or let them play at the playground. Theres a disc golf course for the adults, hiking trails, and picnic areas.
I take my dog there for walk he loves it
Its was a bit smelly.
My dogs love it there! Its peaceful
A very nice place to bring the kids and the hole family to have fun like feeding the ducks and fish
Great hike for the younger kids plus ducks and a park!
212 acres of nature is definitely something to enjoy, cherish and preserve. Better than anything that humans could come up with for the same area, in my opinion. There is nothing spectacular about the views and scenery here, but it will give you the peaceful respite that only nature can.
Great family place
To many dogs off there leashes. Still a nice place to go...
Nice little trail. The water definitely needs a clean up but the park is well maintained with plenty of wildlife to see.
If you like nature you will love this park..has a kiddies play park. Feed the ducks if you like..or just sit around the pond on one of the many benches donated by families.
You see plenty of duck turtles fish and if your luck you can see a deer your kids can play on the playground and it is the perfect opportunity to get some fresh air!
Great place to walk around the pond and the hiking trails are well maintained
A very pretty relaxing woodsy park with a pond, and live music on one Sunday per month in summer. Bring your own chair, admission is free.
Great place for family and fun. A must experience. Feed the ducks with 25 cent food dispenser. Totally worth the 25 cents.
Great disc golf... You need to have more people change the trash out cuz it was over flow of garbage looking down on the trails...
Love this place. Nice trail around the pond. Lots of turtles.
Lots of fish and turtles to see right now.
Is peaceful and beautiful
Love walking my pup there while putting in my own exercise. Also its very well maintained. Not to mention its a wonderful pokemon stop! Haha.
Nice walk
Great for small functions a nice room n a couple grills also small play ground... Walking around is what I like water n turtles to see Sun basting geese n ducks fish swimming in water as wrk no fishing n they uhh recently put a 50Cent doohickey for feeding birds proper diet.. ..nice quaint place.....
Small but hikable, scenic with a bunch of pokéstops
Coggshall park has been around for ages. This is another great place to bring the family. The park offers a playground with restrooms near by. Families can have gatherings here as well. In addition there are numerous trails for cycling, hiking and jogging. Children can feed the Geese and ducks. I have discovered for those who are into playing Pokemon Coggshall is a major HOT SPOT.
Beautiful park. They have a nice open playground for kids. Lots of geese and occasionally swans. The Gaza o is picturesque enough to take pictures at. When we went it was a little stinky from goose poop, but all in all a gorgeous place. There are also hiking trails in the area, but we usually go for the park.
It was do beautiful and Inloved that I can take my dog with me. She has such a great time!
Roads could use some work. Pretty place swans and ducks in summer Pokemon gold mine. I remember being able to fish and ice skate there, but no more. Way way back in time they had awesome swan boats that would be worth getting back. Good hiking trail around there also.
Trash and litter every where.
A good hike, lots of natural sunlight, a playground for kids, nice gazebo for picnics/selfies/sunbathing/etc, overfed ducks who hang around and wait for you to buy then food from the $.25 duck food dispenser. I enjoyed my time here, and i bet it is 1000 times better in the non-winter months.
From Fitchburg and always loved coming here as a kid
Such an amazing park! Nice trails to walk/run. A great reflection pond as well as a great playground!
Always a wonderful time walking in the very large park
