Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children (free under 5). The winter hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday (and 12 pm to 4 pm on Sundays). For summer, its 9 am to 5 pm. They have group rates (more than 25 people) for $8 for adults and $4 for children.Overall, its a pretty large garden that has multiple trails for a nice walk. The longest loop is over a mile. This place makes a great place to host a reception or other event. I came here in the fall so the garden wasnt as booming, but I was still able to capture some beautiful greenery and flora! There is a pond that has some koi fish that you can feed. A bag of fish treats are only $1 at the gift shop so pick some up before heading out to explore the garden!
Easily accessible from I-95, the botanical garden is a great place to escape the road for a bit and immerse oneself in nature. We stopped here on a crisp clear autumn day to take a walk.Enter through the main building with its attractive soaring interior spaces. There is a small cafe (closed on Monday so we didn’t get to sample that), a gift shop and possibly a venue for events.I didn’t mind the $10 entrance fee but if I lived here, I think a seasonal pass would be the way to go.The garden itself is transitioning to winter. Some of the water features were not on. It looks like they are recovering from hurricane damage in a few places and I was surprised there weren’t more identifying markers on the plants and trees. I would like to return in the Spring to see the garden in its prime. We enjoyed the treehouse and I could easily see how school groups could have wonderful field trips here. Another notable item is the large piece of petrified wood.Definitely worth the stop.
Great place for kids, very pretty! Went during fall great Halloween decor! I’ll be returning dying spring
Really beautiful park with really good scenics, really big for hiking and many points of interest. They also have a part for kids that its pretty fun. Recommended for Adults and Kids, if you are in the Area you should visit.
Beautiful place! Easy to walk. Lovely landscapes.Unfortunately on our visit the playground is being reconstructed so our little girl could not play there. Thankfully she just loves being outside and thoroughly enjoyed running around.I loved the small library box and benches for reading. They had a few fire pits set up in the area too.I was a humming bird for the first time and was so excited. The staff were super friendly and helpful. As well as taking necessary precautions during this pandemic to keep themselves and guest safe. They did so in a very respectful manner. The next tine we are in town from Florida we will be back. Myself and my family loved it!
Beautiful place for a family to take pictures and hang out. Went here for a wedding. Very nice outcome.Reason for the four star is I asked where the bathroom was and an employee just pointed at a direction and said Somewhere on that side I almost peed on myself trying to find the bathroom.
First visit since Pandemic and it was very welcoming staff, clean and peaceful. On a Tuesday morning very few visitors and easy to maintain safe social distances. Not only toured planted gardens but took more natural oak and river trails. Gardens were well maintained Since our last visit a new section had been added with water features. I also like that many plants were labeled. They have a small cafe for food and numerous outdoor tables set up.
The garden is gorgeous and worth seeing if you come to Fayetteville. There are numerous trails and sites to see. The flowers are gorgeous as well.I really enjoy seeing the historical farmhouse, tobacco barn, general store, and corn crib preserved. The gardens are easily accessible from downtown Fayetteville. I think the prices are reasonable as well. Theres a coffee shop and gift shop in the main complex.
The entrance was very pretty, but the more I went in, the less I could see. Especially, there was no place to sit. The entrance fee is rather high.
We always enjoy our time here. This place usually has fun events, like last night there was a murder mystery. They had drinks and food available for purchase and beautiful scenery. The mystery was difficult to solve but fun to hang with the family and walk around outside. We bring all our relatives and friends from out of town to see the gardens when the come to visit. I totally recommend and will be back again and again
Cape Fear Botanical Garden is a great place for all ages. During our visit there were activities, games for the kids to enjoy. The trail walk, the lake, and the greenery of the garden were all fantastique. Spacious parking lot including buses parking. Few food trucks available. Highly recommended, guarantee you will have fun. Enjoy
The garden was beautiful and its history is interesting. I went here for my very first date on August 16. I was hesitant to go because I didnt want to pay just to see plants, but the person that I was going on a date with really likes gardens so I caved in. Im actually glad that i came here because we now have a memory of me slipping on mud and landing in a cool pose. Hes still making fun of me for it. I would recommend that you come here during blooming season though. Definitely come here way after it rains too, unless youre fine with dealing with pounds of mud.
The Fayetteville Botanical Gardens is a beautiful oasis in our city. Ever time I go there I fund something new. The outdoor event they had yesterday for children was awesome and free. They had a puppet show, a scavenger hunt, games, bouncy houses and vendors. So glad we went
Loved it! It has developed into a beautiful garden with so many things to see. Friendly staff & the gift shop has a variety of things to buy.
It was absolutely wonderful!! So much to see and observe!! The garden grounds are so beautiful and relaxing. My granddaughter and I had a great time. I highly recommend it to all!!!
My husband and I arrived at 3pm. The cost at $10 per person was a little steep for the limited time and trails. We were looking forward to hiking the 1.2 loop trail, but it was closed due to flooding. We wish that would have been explained to us prior to buying the tickets.
We had a beautiful time with my granddaughter Emily and her husband (my new grandson) Christopher Watchorn. May you have many many more days in your life as husband & wife as happy as todays.
I was at the garden and observed a wedding. How beautiful, right? NOT. No one was wearing masks. Its a great place and some of the staff are wonderful people, but I dont want to get sick. Now I know that we live in the bible belt and that a lot of people in NC are uninformed but this is just plain ridiculous. It doesnt take a college degree to put on a mask. All businesses are responsible for insuring that masks are worn during a pandemic. The three stars are for the garden itself and the staff that actually had the sense to wear masks. Why is this not being enforced?
I was here last week with my family and was very shocked by the lack of care towards the very dangerous Covid-19. Wow, the garden is beautiful, but the amount of people without masks indoors in the gift shop was not. I was shocked an appalled to discover staff members wearing masks inappropriately (nose exposed) and some of them not wearing masks at all. My family will not be here again to enjoy the gardens beauty (or the new childrens garden) until a vaccine is developed, its just too risky. Do the staff here not have common sense? A virus is not something that can be disbelieved. Neither me, my wife nor my daughter want to get sick because the orange man told the higher ups not to wear masks. I will also not be donating to this garden ever again. Ignorant people dont deserve my hard earned cash. I dont serve my country in order to get covid because people are too lazy to put on a mask.
There wasnt much in bloom but i came during late winter so it was understandable. The gift shop was nice and the staff was pleasant. The park is big enough for a nice hike (nothing extreme) so i bought a beer which made the experience extra enjoyable. Overall it was very tranquil which i liked. I plan to go again come spring!
I had my wedding rehearsal, ceremony and reception at The Cape Fear Botanical Gardens and each event was amazing. The staff was very helpful in organizing each event. We rented the orangery, the grand hall and the brick circle. Each was very clean and there wasnt much outside interference. There is a lot of space for parking . The bathrooms are very clean and have enough stalls for several guests. There couldnt be a more beautiful venue.
So incredibly beautiful with rich diversity. Im a visitor here and this is a must see in Fayetteville! Super easy because its close to downtown. The gazebo style buildings are so beautiful and to have a wedding here would be so pretty. Going to return just to see spring evolving!! Nice gift store and friendly folks. Even a few skinks sunbathing on rock steps said hello. Its not expensive with good military and senior discounts. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place to take your family. Nice quiet trails with pretty scenery.
I love this place and their special events. Family friendly and date worthy.
Nice place for relaxing & grounding.
Pretty nice little place prices are a little steep for what you get. Seems as if they need to trim up the areas and water more in certain areas. Exhibits a little overgrown.
Great place to bring the family. They have amazing trails to walk and a beautiful seenary.
Did an engagement photoshoot here as Moira Grace Photography. Loved all the possible locations for photos the fee was super expensive though and there were people sneaking in without paying the photography fee.
Its better during the spring and summer. But, it was a nice walk and great to take pictures.
Beautiful place to enjoy nature. Lots of paths for walking around and looking at a wide range of flowers, plants, trees and shrubs. Beautiful event venues as well. Cute little kids area. We took our toddler for the leprechaun hunt to celebrate St. Patricks day and it was great!
Always love coming to the botanical gardens to see the amazing flowers that are in bloom. They are always changing and worth going every trip. There are many paths to walk and enjoy nature. I could spend ours in the park on one if the benches with a good book. Great venue for weddings and other events as well. Highly recommend.
Beautiful gardens and informative staff. CFBG always plans the most fun events that we enjoy being a part of.
It was beautiful! Hard to find at first, it is amazing, beautiful landscape, reception area was able to fit more than 250!!
Nice place for family visit. Kids enjoyed the plants and the whole landscape with pond and fishes.
It was pleasant in every aspect of the word. A gorgeous place to hold a wedding.
So absolutely beautiful!!! Great place to take kids and pets
Great place to for a nature walk and educational for everyone. I just left there a couple of weeks ago after we just finished building the huge boardwalk and pavilion. Youll have to bring the family and check it out! Enjoy
A wonderful and beautiful place to visit. The scenery is wonderful and the grounds are well kept. Very nice place to take pictures.
Its so peaceful and I just love the lights and all the different types of flowers its very nice to take your family, friends and even a special someone and a nice set up for eating area so I had an amazing time with my sister and a friend! We had a nice walk picknick and lovely view and a wonderful unforgettable time@! keep up the work u guys its amazing!!
BEAUTIFUL, and very well kept. Staff is very sweet and welcoming. Even helped us on our bingo hunt!
Absolutely gorgeous. A must visit spot if you are in Fayetteville, NC. Theyve maintained the grounds exceptionally well and are constantly adding new items. A wedding was happening on the day of our visit because the location is just that beautiful.
Had a lot of fun walking around identifying the different flora!
Very pretty place to walk around. Staff was friendly. Went in spring and there were tons of huge azaleas in bloom.
Loved spending time there. It is a great oasis in a city.
A bit pricey for what you get. The grounds are small but pretty. They had a sculpture exhibit going on which was really lovely. The staff mentioned there was a storm recently which they were cleaning up from but locals said the storm wasnt that bad at all. The grounds were a bit unkempt and trails were not always clearly marked.
Enjoyed my visit at the gardens! Very relaxing and refreshing! Also enjoyed lunch at the garden cafe! Great, friendly service!
Spent my wifes birthday enjoying the gardens and the origami art show. Great place to stroll, enjoyed the quiet and taking in nature. We are regulars and have always been treated very well by the staff and volunteers. Thanks!Would suggest more signs around the plants and trees to help with identification?
Its a lovely place to just go, walk and reflect. Love looking at the varieties of flowers
Went during the Wine, Beer, & food festival had an awesome time.
I recommend going in fall or spring but definitely a must! Very inviting, and fun!
An absolutely beautiful, serene place. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area and have the time.
Capturing the truth of nature all around us. While visiting listen for the buzzing of the Bees and Nature around you. That amazing smell of dirt on the ground, the blooming fragrant flowers, the smell of Pine trees, the crunch of Gravel, Dirt or Soil under foot... Whether your a family or a strong single person, or a healing from sickness, a strong runner or calm walker, a wheelchair... This is such a beautiful Healing Place for all.
A late October visit offers plenty of flowers and textures to keep your spirits high. I’ll definitely have to return in spring, but I couldn’t have been more impressed on this, my first visit!!
Visited for the Holiday Lights. The Holiday Lights was amazing. The only draw back was I wish there had been more vendors. I have been there before for the day when you can bring pets. Absolutely stunning flowers! I wish once again though that there had been more vendors and things for the dogs to do.All in all I give it 5 stars as the beauty of the gardens and the lights during the holidays were stunning. A must visit place!
I loved this place when I visited back in 2015. I really do miss good botanical gardens! The location to the river is breathtaking.
Its really just woods theres a few beautiful plants and trees when you first walk out but thats it. The botanical garden in Gastonia is better than this one.
Gorgeous, well maintained gardens, with multiple walkways and diverse fauna.
Absolutely beautiful. A must see. They have been working on this since June and a lot of the displays were made by them.
Beautiful gardens. The only downside is that you can hear the traffic.
My favorite place to be! The Gardens are so peaceful and gorgeous at all times of the year. I have been a member for several years and will be for several more. I call the Gardens my outdoor studio and my clients love it too! The staff is wonderful and they work so hard to keep the Gardens so beautiful at all times of the year. You never know what to expect when you go! ~ Roxie B Photography
Had a wonderful time with the family there. Excited to see they will be doing some local brew events. Would have liked a little more for wine / beer / refreshment options. Would have stayed longer if available.
Very nice and cant wait to return on a regular day to go on trails! My son enjoyed the activities and hes 7.
My daughters class and us parents had a great time learning about the lifecycle of worms and all aspects of the gardens.
Very beautiful place to walk around or to have a wedding! So many beautiful flowers and butterfly’s are everywhere during the summer
Beautiful place close to downtown Fayetteville. It can get noisy as the garden is right at the hwy.
Awesome place really cool location to walk around
Beautiful garden and I cant wait to see the place when the construction is done in the back!
Really peaceful area off 421. The picnic shelters are large with amazing views and bathrooms are easy to find. The restroom I visited was dated, but clean & well-lit. We found a huge open area near a lake where I walked our dog. Lots of large oak trees covered the area & kept us cool. My husband found a shady picnic table & did some sketching. We cant wait to return
Peaceful, tranquil, beautifully marked walking trails with lots of bees, butterflies and even some humming birds. The main building appears to have the capacity to host events. Would make the perfect wedding venue for sure!
I will give it 5 stars when we go back when everything is blooming. Spring is when you need to go but was still very beautiful and nice place to spend some quality time with your wife or girlfriend/ husband or boyfriend. Family friendly for sure but is also romantic
Yoga class was pleasant and the instructor was well trained! See you next Thursday Thank you...
Hidden gem. Nicely maintained trails, and well sculpted gardens. Wear insect repellent if visiting during Giant Mosquito Season. Giant Mosquito Season runs from March to November. Its almost always Giant Mosquito Season.
My son completed a homeschool in the garden art class. The instructor was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and helpful. The class was well organized and set up before we arrived. This facility is clean and attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate this class and look forward to future programs and classes.
Amazing place to spend a day. Beautiful nature
Beautiful space for a picnic great for photo
We love the Christmas lights each year
One of the most Beautiful and dedicated places in Fayetteville. This location deserves more Volunteers and Employees because all the work the needs to be one will not only add to the current Beauty but, just enhance what is already there.
A Very gorgeous facility to have wedding
I went with my son here on his first field trip and we both loved it. So many things to see and explore!!!
If you like to walk and enjoy nature this place is the best, the best ten dollars spent, wish they have more variety of flowers since I personally like to take a lot of pictures but still beautiful place to visit.
Great place to see local flora. Also a great place to get factual answers to gardening and plant care answers. Staff are super friendly. The garden is a great place to unwind and void of urban noise.
Beautiful garden! Even in March when everything wasnt in full bloom, we had a very nice visit.
Maybe because I have had alot of botanical garden visits in my life in the country. I was disappointed with the upkeep, signage, and variety of botanical life.
Great Light Show and can walk all around. Many other things for kids to do also. Great for all ages.
I only saw a section of this garden during the dog event held at the garden. Im not sure what I missed, but the area that I got to explore with my dogs was beautiful. There was a nice trail through the wooded area. When I went in March, the tulips were blooming - so beautiful and colorful. My favorite part of the garden is where the pond is located. The surrounded area was colorful. I also love the reflection of the trees on the water. I hope to visit this garden one day and see the entire garden. The dog event was fun. There was a good number of dogs. This one is very small comparing to the larger events that Ive attended. Check the gardens calendar, if you are a dog owner, and look for the next dogfriendly event. This garden is worth visiting if you enjoy traveling with your dogs, like I do.
Loved it!
I attended a wedding reception here last June and this was the perfect spot for it. We had a chance to enjoy some drinks outside. Some people took advantage to wander the grounds; I opted to sip on some drinks in the meanwhile. The ballroom (if thats the right terminology for it) was wonderful - the dance floor was strategically placed in the center, and the tables around it, so everyone could get a view of everything.
An absolutely beautiful spot to stop by and relax. Highly recommended whether you are just passing through or a local.
Beautiful place to go with friends or on a date. So much to see, especially during events! Be careful of the deer that pop out of nowhere though.
Top notch experience.... even during a pandemic!!!!
Beautiful place to take Birthdays Photoshop.
Nice place to visit and coming back from hurricane Florence.
Nice Place. Wish it was bigger with more flowers.
We went to enjoy the Harry Potter event. It was done very nicely! I cant wait to see this amazing place in the spring time!
A great place for wedding and family pics.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our time. It was fun for a nice peaceful afternoon.
Its was Amazing And Beautiful
Fun and pretty to walk around in, although they are still recovering from last years hurricane damage
Beautiful peaceful place. They have many community events such as their Halloween celebration for kids. The Christmas lights are also beautiful.
